If they did small updates like this between larger ones more often, I think Minecraft would be much livelier and fun. Not to say that it isn’t, but Minecraft has so much untapped potential

My favorite feature is the armor trims. Netherite armor looks so much better customized.

I been waiting for something like that as well as a farm animal upgrade. Chickens would spawn in a group of 3-6 with 1 rooster. Something similar with gilts (pigs) and boars, cows and bulls and so on. It would make farming animals much more interesting having to find both a male and female. Maybe genetic traits could even be added. You could breed a cow to have bigger horns or a rooster to have vibrant feathers.
Yes. I also want them to make a villager update and add female villagers or something😭 I don't really know what they would do yet. Probably have them doing something different or similar to the male villagers.

it will eventually. Almost every biomtype has a unique mob. Im not sure what the cherry blossom mob would be tho.

end game gets alittle boring but having to explore your world again to find collectibles is a great feeling for motivation, armour trims, camels, suspicious blocks, new farms very refreshing ❤
An update for the end game would be fantastic. I actually really wish they added some other crazy world to go to, maybe a middle ground between the end and nether

Before the update comes I recommend making as much netherite armor as possible because it’s a little easier to make.

They should add a cherry blossom village that looks japanese style building. Would look cool

They still haven't added Jungle or Swamp villages since there are still exclusive skins for those specific biomes

@bryanp5843 it would be a great idea for a small update to expand on villages and add them to biomes they are not in as of now
update 1.20 is smaller than 1.19 but better than 1.19 and a lot of great improvements in this update,trail ruins is actually an archaeological dig site 2020 which mojang has completely overhauled for the better,camels make the desert a little livelier (camel in my opinion is more suitable for spawning in oasis and mojang also need to add oasis ),archeology presence and some new redstone tools will be appreciated by explorers and redstone experts alike.

No it’s bigger 1.19 is just around 2 biome but this update is all over the place with a lot more customization. I’m more hype for this update (I’m a builder) than 1.19

the game just suddenly runs better in last few months
they should add a hostile mob that serves as a trap to archaeology
I think it should look like or just be that mob in the very first mob vote that looked like a lizard with a huge head and mouth
meh.. ocean ruins already have drowneds
They could just make them spawn silverfish
Maybe a haunted pot that wouldn’t move at all, it just occasionally throws poison tipped shards at you? Minecraft already has a few ghost like things so a haunted pot wouldn’t be too far fetch.

I really liked the new update, it brought things that we players never thought mojang would add, But I remembered that custom armor is also available in Minecraft Story mode XD
This update is amazing, I think it would be great to have an hostile mob in the new ruins, maybe mummies in the desert ?

They need to make slabs of every block for example: terracotta slabs
True that would look cool, and they should bring back dirt slabs
I just want to be able to put carpets on slabs without them floating
Desert wells are finally useful
The new red stone and the armor customization are so great, it’s amazing how in depth they went with these features
I've wanted customisable armour since Minecraft Story Mode came out, and I can't believe it's finally happening. And they haven't half-arsed it either, I'm so excited 😊

Well this is more of an improvement over some of the other updates, wish they would make larger boats or functional ships.
I agree ! It would also be fun to have pirates(villagers with pirate costumes spawn near/in the open ocean areas or coral reefs biomes.
With the new armor customization I would love for gold armor to be more durable, just because it looks so good to me when it’s customized. It would be cool if you could maybe upgrade it with netherite or another ore to make it stronger.

I just put mending and unbreaking on them and take care to make sure the durability never gets too too low
it's crazy how things have changed since the start
I honestly hope they will add some lore behind these massive structures, but otherwise looking forward to it!
The only thing I hate about this update is that we have to find netherite upgrade to make netherite armour but the other ones are very cool
You can duplicate the upgrade tho, so it's a one time find
They have made this because Netherite is overpowered and is so easy to collect. They made this to make it a bit harder to achieve and also you can duplicate templates but it is not any easy task..

Netherite was way to easy to make. That was my biggest complain when they added it into the game.
No it’s good instead of getting netherite quickly it takes more time considering how strong netherite is.
I like the way how he arranged all the cherry wood products and bamboo wood products!

Bamboo wood is going to save me so much time. I use thousands of hoppers and chests in my builds, so being able to farm chest wood automatically will save hours!

I hope they add more flowers to this update. when I voted for the sniffer, I loved the fact we’d be getting more flowers. i didn’t think they’d be only 2 that they were adding…
There definitely need to be more than 2. I think adding a mob for only 2 plants that are basically useless is underwhelming and makes you wonder why they even bothered adding it

Cool update. What would also be cool is if they added small little currents to make the water more realistic or just other animals as well.
Minecraft consumes a lot of resources already. There is a mod that allows water to behave like in real life, but your pc have to be a nuclear reactor to run it optimaly. Its better not to mess with the water.

I think 1.20 is bigger than 1.19. The mild update just focused on 2 biome but this update is all over the place with a lot more customization. I’m more hype for this update (I’m a builder) than 1.19
Im not, cant wait for them to revamp survival all the updates have been for builders only and im tired of it, its not funny to play minecraft anymore.
@@miguels8085 there are survival aspect in it for exemple the trims and archeology are a great exemple
@@miguels8085i think the preexisting mobs need an update of their own.
• the classic passive mobs need their textures and models updating to fit the new artstyle better.
• hostile mob ai, spawning and loot needs an overhaul so that combat against them feels more engaging and rewarding.
• zombies need variants for all the new default skins
• wolf taming could do with a rework
• the "fast horses" bug from bedrock should be reimplemented as an actual mechanic, and expanded upon.
@@JoeTB18 I disagree, 1.20 has less features than 1.19 (which had less dev time):
-2 mobs vs 3-4 mobs
-1 biome + 1 wood type vs 2 biomes
-armor trim and archeology vs sculk
-a rare ruin vs the biggest structure of the game with a lot of lore and a possible way to add new dimension
(The rest of the features are small and don't need to be listed for either of those)
1.20 had no excuse and still has a small amount of features that focus almost only on the decoration/customisation part of minecraft.
There is a bit of exploration and redstone, but adding only one or two things isn't enough to count it as a survivalist/redstoner type of update.

This looks like a fun update, but I wish they did more to the archaeological side of it. There is a great deal of potential for some lore or history being added, could lead to museum builds and such
Im not sure that Minecraft needs lore. They could add really rare decoration only items to the archeology

Yeah, not a big fan about the netherite upgrade. netherite alone is already a hassle.

How many bastions are you reasonably expected to find in a game? How many per bastion? It seems like they're just trying to make diamonds useful. Because right now they really don't get that much use in the core mechanics.

Tbh not excited at all for this update, 1.20 should be huge update including mind blowing things but we are getting pink blocks and camels... Upgraded armors are cool lookin but it can't save this update.
I hope Mojangs people would update for example mineshafts, villages, woodland mansions, ship wrecks.
I'm disappointed.
I'm also a little disappointed, but after the nether update, things have been less interesting and delayed too or even cancelled, unfortunately the level of updates has gone down a bit instead of improving :c

There needs to be an End overhaul like yeah we have the portal that takes us to the biomes but it would be cool to see the end get reworked and feel more alive and scary
I hope there will be more in this update because it's a disappointingly small update compared to some updates like the caves and cliffs which fleshed out a lot of old features, 1.20 should flesh out exploration by revamping old structures and nerfing stuff from 1.14 like the villager and raid system to encourage exploration more and by adding more personalized building stuff like colored bricks along with making the pot patterns dyeable since this update is about exploration self-expression and storytelling

My question is how will armor customization work for mash ups/texture packs, will it just be a moot point or will we be able to rock like custom Spartan gear in the halo pack and so on, I’m expecting it to be a moot point in the end but would be cool to see

I love the direction the game is heading. They add more stuff that cant be accesed right away and need to unlock stuff first like the Sniffer.

my least favorite thing about minecraft is that when you finally get super far in a world, an update happens with tons of cool features and you don’t get them in the world you’re in
You get them. You just have to travel far enough to generate them. This is kind of a neccesary evil, since they cant override your already existing map.
Question: Do I have to create another world for this patch to be applied ?

Man the sniffer is kinda lame. I think maybe making it rideable and making it so all breedable animals will follow it would be awesome. You could use it to lure multiple different types of farm mobs while also transportation
