This is the third cocktail channel video I’ve seen that features Mr Black. I’m starting to think that this whole espresso martini resurgence happened because Mr Black’s marketing team pushed this stuff HARD and paid a bunch of content creators to advertise their product
I love these multi-drink episodes. They open more doors using some of the same ingredients.
that espresso martini foam was T H I C C, and I appreciated the unexpected f-bomb.
Went to a bar the other day with the husband, he asked what I was thinking of getting... 'Something to wake me up, and something to f**k me up', the barman pops up from nowhere and says 'You after an Espresso Martini?' It's now my most favourite bar in the world (their whisky selection doesn't hurt either)
🎶The best part of waking up, is Mr. Black in your cuuup!🎶 🥃☕️
Love it
Can’t wait to try these! But please oh please don’t exclude tasting notes. They turn a helpful instructional and informational video into something even better: a shared experience. Plus they help me prioritize what to make first. Thanks for the great content!
Finally made the Cafe con Leche Flip and it's even better than I thought it would be. Usually I use Kraken as my black rum because of the allspice flavor of Cruzan but that flavor totally works in this cocktail. Thanks!
That last cocktail is the embodiment of FIRE.
The Afternoon Delight sounds absolutely fantastic!
Can't get Mr. Black in the stores here and I haven't tried it yet, but your recipes sound amazing and I'll for sure try them with the homemade coffee liqueur I made for the Revolver episode recently 🤩
Guys.. we MUST buy Mr. Black. 😇
I'm in the same boat Kevin, and I might have to get off my chair and make your coffee liqueur too! It looks very nice and because you clearly explained the process, I have very few excuses left.
@@AccursedSlug thanks! I can't it will yield the same result as Mr. Black but it makes for some nice cocktails. And if you want to check out another awesome coffee liqueur recipe make sure to watch the latest video from @Truffles on the rocks - he made his with vodka.
@@KevinKos I can't get Mr. Black either where I live. But these are definitely same great recipes. I will have to make some coffee liqueur as well.
I was fortunate to find Mr. Black at my local Bevmo. Even better, it was part of their 5 cent sale.
Afternoon Delight sounds amazing, great video as always!
It’s been a while since I watched your videos, they’ve really improved in quality! Keep up the good work man :)
Love these combined cocktails videos!
Oh that Afternoon Delight sounds amazing!!
I am liking the style of the notes with the tape boarder and handwriting text. Nicely done Marius.
Thank you for giving me a reason to be happy summer is over. Appreciate it! Cheers.
The Black Irish is one of my favorites you've made. It's amazing, well done. it's going to be 97 today....so almost fall
I bloody love coffee cocktails. Thanks for sharing ☕🍸🥃
We do too!
These are great. I’ve been stuck on Carajillos for my go-to coffee drink!
These sound amazing! Gonna have to make some syrups. Yum!
Cold Brew Negroni sounds interesting! I liked the Black Shamrock from Saint Patrick's Day, so this one reminds me of a gin version of that.
An Afternoon Delight seems perfect in the AM. :) All great looking cocktails.
These look amazing!
That afternoon delight looks, well, delightful!!"
To be honest, this is your best video. Nice cuts, flawless presentations, incredible creative recipes. Just perfect.
I am only a little sad because everything you used is soooo expensive in Brazil. It's really a shame.
While not *really* a coffee cocktail, I would love to see you make the No 2. Fleet Street at some point... it's a very unique one and definitely seems up your alley.
Thanks for the coffee cocktails 🍸
Excited for this one!
I'm jazzed for that Afternoon Delight Can't wait to make that. working on my Cola syrup now so it can be mellowing until this afternoon. Thanks Guys
Awesome!
Omg I LOVE Mr. Black definitely my favorite. Also just found your channel and love it 😊
Thanks!
These drinks are brilliant, cheers legend!
This is Nice
Cause its Combining My Two Most Favourites
Brilliant 👍👍👍
I’m loving the background music.
I'm not into coffee but as an Aussie I love seeing MR Black get international attention.
Thanks legend ! Appreciate it.
I have a recipe identical to your Black Irish in my recipe document, called the "Black Shamrock", not entirely sure where I yoinked it from but it has the exact same proportions and even the same garnish (minus flaming).
YAY!! My fav things combined - coffee and alcohol. Making these ones for sure, even though it is a weekday.
Alcoholic 😝🤣 Just kidding! Enjoy those yummy drinks Skabeesh 🙃
@@neilmcphee1554 that's cool bro! :D
cheers to that
"The bar closed soon after I started serving this, but I swear it's good" ;) ;) (just joking, I hope you won't take it too seriously)
Absolutely delicious, thanks for these cocktails! LOVE coffee-based cocktails =D
Sorry if I'm mistaken, but did you miss listing Gin as an ingredient in the Cold-Brew Negroni in the shownotes?
Edit: Also, the video says you use the egg yolk in the Cafe con Leche flip, but shownotes say 1 Egg white? Sorry again if I'm missing something and am just sounding stupid!
Great video, Leandro! We can't get Mr. Black in North Carolina, so I'll be making my own coffee liqueur!
Leandro: which coffee cocktail would you like?
me: yes.
Looks amazing and tasty! 🤤 I am happy that I was introduced to the world of cocktails. Such a nice community too!
Gotta make em all !
Amen
To Mr Leandro, I’m making espresso martinis soon for a family dinner. I’m thinking of the simple syrup used in this incredible recipe. Just wondering, if I was to make the simple syrup, what would be the most simple way to make a small batch of simple syrup?( I’m making enough espresso martinis for three people.) Thanks again for the advice and education. Your the best bartender I’ve ever seen.
I have the same espresso machine at home (but then the European Solis branded "version"). I like the simple machine, it is a great addition to any home bar, it gets you into the whole barista world without breaking the bank :)
Which model is it? Could see Breville but couldn't tell for sure the specific one? Lol
@@Runge_was_here The Solis (EU) variant is called "Caffespresso Pro 117", Breville (US) calls it "The Infuser". It's an older model at this point so not sure if you could find it. I'd recommend taking a look at James Hoffmann and Seattle Coffee Gear YT channels to see what is best ATM :)
Man, I'm going to have to order some Mr. Black soon!
We just launched an online shop! shopmrblack.co/
I want to order a black irish at a bar so bad now, such a good name
Salud🍻from mexico
Need to try the mr black brand
Totally planning on picking up some Mr. Black once my Patron Xo Cafe runs out! Hopefully, it's still in stock then!
We'll be ready for you! You can order Mr Black online: mrblack.co/
Word, Mr. Black! Signed: Mr. Black ⬛️
For the longest time I couldn't get Mr. Black anywhere here in Germany and even now that it's available it's unfortunately rather pricey at about 30 bucks per bottle. Luckily i found a really good Berlin based coffee liqueur called Co'ps. It's infused with cola nuts and isn't overly sweet so it would probably work really well in your Afternoon Delight (named after the song, or a scene in Anchorman^^?)
I hope the restrictions are lifted soon and Cole’s can reopen!
that last cocktail the 'afternoon delight' seems WILD! lime cola ginger coffee habanero notes doesn't seem like it'll work but I bet it does
1:19 man I love me some cinnamon simple!
Wow
I still can’t get Mr. Black here yet either, but I did find Coppermuse version to stand in for now. It’s pretty good, but very sweet so I cut down on simple most of the time.
Where are you based?
I have the feeling Writer's tears would be so good in your Black Irish! Oh and I'm always amazed when some say they envy cold weather. For sure you never experienced a rough winter. I'm sure if you ever do, you'll never leave Cali again LOL
I grew up in Boston. I know what winter is. That said if you ever lived in a place that has just slight temp changes for each season, you’d get what I mean
@@TheEducatedBarfly You know, I'm just a grinch who hates winter. So many of my friends love winter and outdoor sports. I hate it so bad that I just don't get it. But I do appreciate fall though. The only problem here in Quebec is it only last 2 weeks then you get 8 months of cold rough snowy windy wacky winter LOL
Top. Valeu 👍🏻
I'm going to have to make that flip! 👏
Cross pollination between cocktail channels. Brilliant!!
Oh man! Crossing my fingers for either Mr Black to come to Canada or for the things to die down so I can cross the border if worse comes to worse!
Great cocktails Leandro, served in style. I would love to have seen you behind the bar! Which is your favorite of of the five?
Probably all of them LOL. You know I have such trouble choosing!
@@TheEducatedBarfly Me too. That would make for a good afternoon with friends.
Great recipes and video. I don't think the cola syrup recipe was included. Really want to try it. I've been looking to switch up cocktails that call for colas and use syrups instead. Thanks!
It’s at the bottom of the description
For the Flip, what blackstrap rum did you use? I always have trouble finding rums that are labeled as blackstrap, even though sometimes they will have the word "black" on the label.
videos are looking extra polished these days Leandro!
Awesome video as always! But at like 5.09 it says 2oz/15ml, 2oz is 60ml :) Anyways, these cocktails sound so good and I'm so happy to know what I can use my mr black for!
Yes. Didn’t catch the mistake. Happens on occasion fixed in the description buuut we’re stuck with it in the video
Any drink tips with these spirits.
Vodka, Captain spiced gold, blue curacao, white rum,
3:54 - what was the BSR you used? My homie and I were discussing black strap vs Dark vs Anejo vs Spiced - and didn't get a whole lotta answers. for Dark n Stormy's/mai tai/ jungle bird, i've been using Plantation OD
Wohoo I gave the 1000 like!
Just made the Espresso Martini. OMG. So good. So nice looking. I am now drunk and manic… my wife is not impressed. Love your content.
Nice :)
Jesus, 110º? It's, like, 50º where I am while watching this.
A coffee cocktail I really like is the Evolved Revolver from David Leibovitz, which I think has a recipe quite similar to the Black Irish in this video.
It’ll be 93 today...
well, hello new camera angles!
I just want mr black in canada
I'm almost getting some australian friends to send it to me
But living in south america makes the delivery cost a hell of a lot.
Sorry Nicholas !! We'll get there some day soon.
What’s something similar to the black strap rum if I can’t find that bottle?
You need to get your hands on Mr Black coffee Amaro - shit is amazing
I know. Not available in the States yet, but I have tried it ;)
@@TheEducatedBarfly It's cominggggg !!
@@TheEducatedBarfly When they land, I'll have a bottle with your name on it, mate.
Have you tried Tempus Fugits Creme de Moka? It’s a bit sweeter than Mr.Black but it has a lot of great coffee notes and destroys Kahlua and Tia Maria
Yep. Have a bottle. Love it
My biggest problem is that Mr. Black is twice the price of Kahlua here and that is already expensive(ish)... I'll try these with Kahlua though!
In my espresso martini, I love to use half an ounce of Sambuca instead of simple syrup. In the end it is like making an Espresso Martini with a correct espresso. In addition, I also add a pinch of salt to bring out the taste of the coffee even more
Off topic but do you have any more apple jack cocktail recipes that you can share?
Yep. It’s National Applejack Month, they’re coming....
Beautiful! Especially the Delight. I can't seem to get Mr Black here in Sweden, is there anything that you can sub it for? Even if it includes combining 2 or more bottles.
Yeah you can sub for any Coffee Liqueur but be mindful of the sugar content and scale up or down depending
The Educated Barfly Cheers. I guess a Tia Maria has to do it then :) Have a great evening.
We launch in Sweden next month so be on the lookout!
Mr Black Spirits fantastic! I sure will.
Didnt Coles reopen? Someone told me they were there recently.
Would you be against making any mix drinks with the Guinness nitro cold brew coffe. It's a pretty good stand alone drink but just wished it had a bit more creaminess without to much sweetness to it.
It against it at all
For the espresso martini could you use gin in place of the vodka?
Yep it’s be a bit different but yup
@@TheEducatedBarfly undoubtedly but that’s the idea. Thanks.
Are you in Arizona? Asking you mentioned 110 haha. I'm in Arizona
Lucky experiencing cold weather, excuse you.
Lol.
I can't get Mr Black where I live, but I recall it being described as a mixture of cold brew and alcohol, unsweetened and without any other flavouring ingredients. Is that right? (So that I can create my own at home of course!)
Where are you from?
@@MrBlackSpirits Wow, I did not expect a response from you, but thank you very much! I am from Hungary, and I cannot really find Mr. Black coffee liqueur here, but truth be told, I haven't tried importing it yet, if that's a possibility.
@@csongorkakuk5871 we have a retailer that ships to Hungary! www.whisky.fr/mr-black-cold-brew-coffee-liqueur.html
@@MrBlackSpirits Thank you for your help! :)
To sit in solemn silence on a dull, dark dock
In a pestilential prison with a lifelong lock,
Awaiting the sensation of a 1:41
From a cheap and chippy chopper on a big black block
Leandro for your Black Irish you got the measurement in metric wrong, you put 2 oz = 15 ml instead of 60, otherwise great job!
Yeah sometimes I don’t catch the mistakes
@@TheEducatedBarfly I always miss the typos... someone usually picks it up within 30 seconds of publishing though >_
Anyone in the Kansas City area know where Me Black is available or if we have any allocation around here?
Our US bottle shop ships to most states: shopmrblack.co/
for the afternoon delight, you say 1 oz of espresso, but the overlay says .5 and it also says .5 in the description
I think I changed it last minute that’s why we made the mistake but it can really be anything from .5oz to 1oz
Does Mr.Black ever go bad after opening? I think my bottle is a yr old after opening
Nope, it'll keep just like the rest of your spirits!
What coffee liquor do you recommend if you cant get Mr. Black?
Cafe Lolita is good, Tia Maria is also great, Khalua has its uses but just be weary to dial up and down extra sugar depending on the sweetness of the coffee Liqueur and of course you can always make your own :)
@@TheEducatedBarfly Great, thank you!
The fact that a brand from a place 15 mins down the road is featuring in an American video has me shook
Tasting notes?
110 in Oct? Where are you Arizona? LOL
Almost. LA
Oh God, how many calories in that flip?
Everytime I hear simple syrup I think I get enough sugar from everything else. Also still 90 heat wave here in CA
Yeah it’s going to be 93. Trying to conjure the cold weather 😂
Try out our new cocktail we invented during our cocktail party "sex on the lawn"
30ml amaretto 30ml Kersh,30ml dark rum and 20ml ginger beer
Let me know what you think any advise would be great
In which circle of hell are you living that it’s 110 degrees out?
Los Angeles, it's cooling a little now though
