I have a theory that half way through dev, they had to redesign a battle royale game into something approximating a battlefield game. Thats why the campaign got scrapped and the delay happened, and we still got this half baked mess. Even the big player count sounds like something they were developing for a battle royale game that happened to be something they could repurpose. Specialists seem like they came straight out of EA’s Warzone clone. Giant maps too. Or maybe I’m reading too much into it and DICE has just lost all its talent and vision.

Even if every single sensible consumer says “I’m not buying your game unless it has minimal bugs” investors and CEOs will not stop putting out broken games. If you want real change, demand that gaming platforms like Steam, Sony and Microsoft enforce higher quality control out of AAA producers. Otherwise they’ll just continue to sell buggy games to stupid people (and in Badger’s case) people that don’t care about the quality as long as they have fun

Even if you having fun it doesn't mean that the game you're playing is good and doesn't need a change. 2021 is, pretty much, the worst year for videogames and this is just depressing to look at.

My issue isn't the bugs, it's the $80 price tag for the bugs. I'm not opposed to $20-40, in it's current state, but I'm also willing to wait for a sale, I ain't mad, but I can understand why some people might be.
Don't know... BF2042 clearly is in a worst state than previous episodes. Not only in terme of bugs and netcode but also in term of content. It just feels like he's trying to tone down the fact that companies are putting less and less efforts in games that release in a shittier and shittier state (which you pay more and more for btw) just on the excuse that "it's fun". Well, I'm personally way past this state of mind, like he said whining toward billion dollars companies is pointless, however *not giving your money* for broke ass products is a good first step.
May I recommend a video to react to? I'd like you to see Kurzgesagt's video titled "Overpopulation & Africa" and listen to your thoughts on it as I find it very relatable and comparable to my own country
I love this new bf, has everything I wanted, it's a little weird without the classes but im willing to role with it, maps are great and bugs are there of course like any battlefield but I haven't run into anything game breaking other then spawn bugged breakthrough games
honestly if BF2042 launched exactly how the beta was (the beta was genuinely terrible) i'd 100% agree, but the game is not ass as that, not even close, i'd say its a genuinely fun as fuck game to play but lacks a few less maps and weapons but thats really about it (and maybe some minor nerfs to vehicle armor and damage again) but everything BF2042 has is rather solid and Portal and Hazard Zone are amazing additions to the game, BF 5 was straight ass but 2042 is nowhere close to being complete ass
@@Jamesgates355 Operators make the game feel shit, forcing me to use one of my gadget slots for the operator gimmic is beyond stupid and I despise games that have both sides have the same characters (both this and the new cod do this and I aint buying either)
@@EvilBakaCat that point i will conceit some on, but with the operators you have some actually nice variety in terms of gadgets and passives that help with gameplay styles, i can play Angel and rez people while still having an ammo crate and a gustav for max support and taking out tanks, but i will 100% agree on disliking having the same characters on both sides but for me is a rather minor gripe and not towards the overall gameplay as a whole, it was worse in the Beta because of no good way of telling enemies apart from allies but in the full release i have not had that problem yet
