I got to paint my room the year after I moved in but the District painted it again about two years ago and removed the carpet and placed tile instead!!

Finally! I have been waiting! Yes my school paints all the classes every year. It’s so hard getting things to set up my class in Nigeria. I think that’s our major challenge.

We never have our classrooms painted. I don't know if we could paint ourselves or not. I would not want to have to remove everything from my walls, etc. to be painted. It's bad enough to have to rearrange my room once they have waxed the floors...lol. Wish our floors were no wax...
We also cannot have microwaves or refrigerators in our room unless it is for teaching purposes. Also, the fire marshall will not let us have lamps of any kind.
That all seems very common! I know other teachers with the same guidelines
Our walls don't get painted every year. We are not allowed to paint them, as far as I know.

my 8th grade science class had a different color paint on every wall 😭 as soon as my new science teacher came she was like “yeah no these walls r getting painted”

So frustrating 😩
No my school doesn’t paint every year. I spent $300 to paint my own classroom last year, only to have the district come in and paint one wall in my classroom. I painted it white and they painted the one wall almond… I cried, but then I realized it was just a wall, but very frustrating! Didn’t fix any of the stuff I asked them to 🥲
