I have a hard time with Doris. Not that she isn't a great talent, she truly is, but she isn't really a freshman either. She's 22 and had trained in Iten for over a year while competing in Diamond League races prior to signing on with Alabama. She isn't a typical college student, she's essentially a pro that has gone back to college. Still, great race by her but it just gives me mixed feelings.
I understand your comment.what is to keep seasoned pros from going back to collage to get a degree and setting new records. On the other side of the coin I understand athletes from poor countries, turning to support their own families back home
