Probably he knew that Stuttgart's defenders were getting tired, so he needed someone who could outrun them. And yes, Adli is the man. The fact that Tah was left alone at the far post with minimal covering proved that their concentration level decreased toward the end due to tiredness, I guess.
Alonso's Leverkusen is just beautiful to watch
Alonso was coached by some of the best managers in the world. Mourinho, Pep, Rafa, Don Carlo etc. No wonder he will become one of the best in the near future 👍👍

Very talented lad he will go to places if he keeps it up most likely snatched up by Bayern though like they always do if their mandatory league win gets threatened. They gutted Leipzig and Dortmund and Leverkusen will feel their wrath after the season is over 😢

Lerverkusen gets most of the praise for what they have been doing this season in the bundesliga Xabi has been showing what a good coach he is but Sttugart are also playing very well and are with a good opportunity for top 3 finish their manager has done a fantastic job.

sometimes he doesnt read his teammates or probably they dont understand him haha, wtf was that pass for Schick when he dribbled past the Stuttgart defense ? There was a very nice pass that should have been an assist early in the 2nd half but Schick didnt manage to beat the keeper... One time Wirtz tried to dribble past a Stuttgart defender only to lose the ball, win it back again immediately and then let it go out for a throw-in because he couldnt control it. Wirtz makes lots of mistakes but his talent is so impressive he needs 1 or 2 good moments to decide the whole game... and he is just 20 years old

Sometimes it also has to do with the opponent. We could see it with Leipzig and I think also in the first leg against Stuttgart. If they play with such intensity and high pressing to keep Lev in check, it is impossible to keep doing that the entire match.
