i LOVE my solar powered motion/porch lights. the ones i have can also be usb charged if needed. i have several, because they are very useful if you're boondocking and get critters coming around. pop one or two under the hood to keep mice and packrats out. or put them on the ground around the tires, or atrach to tire rims with magnets. i used to use them inside to cook at night before i hardwired bright lights.

I have only stealth camped once in my car and thinking more about security. About your magnetic sensor light, I guess with a just a small magnet anyone could take it straight off … but yes, you hope when it turns on it will just scare people away. Keep shining your light, lovely! 🥰
Yes, it makes a difference where you decide to stay. I am mostly in places where I do not need to be stealth. Also, people wouldn’t necessarily know that the lights don’t come off…I think they’d assume they were attached some way.☺️
You have a very refreshing approach to your demonstrations I must say. I've subscribed to dozens of similar youtubers but after a while I move on. Your hacks are certainly helpful and to the point,as a traveller myself I find that gets my attention and holds it. Good luck on the road, I look forward to your next story.
I believe that thing on the top side of the flashlight is to break a window with should you ever be in an accident and are trapped in your vehicle and can't get the window down. Also, it's makes a wonderful weapon that is for sure! Sorry, I'm a much older woman and I don't know what it's called, but I think I'm right about what it's for. You're always so bubbly that it's a joy to watch your videos! You will be a success on You Tube, I'm sure!

I bought the same solar flashlight at WM last month. Yes, the metal point will break your auto glass should u be trapped in ur car & door won’t open. Hi Lady Bugout! New subscriber from Virginia. I am researching ideas to add or build into my van, a '19 GMC Savanna 2500 cargo van, and your 5 gadgets are cool ideas. I have already used one idea of the shoe shelf. I store my Crocs and moccasins, a small mirror and some quickly accessible items in it. The one idea I really like is the motion sensor light as I have four of the Aootek lights mounted around my home, two on the house, one on the front door steps and one on a tree next to my van. It helps to light up the sliding door side of the van. So, now I will order one for the van and use it on camping trips. Although I have a Mr. Buddy Heater (regular size) I like the defrost gadget. It's smaller and has less potential for accidents. You've done a super job organizing your van and being a retired military man with OCD I admire that. A short story on the front doorstep Aootek. When I first tried to mount it on the handrail I dropped it and thought I had destroyed the inner working parts. I still mounted it using cable ties and waited for dark. When it came on it looked like a fire was inside and it stayed on all night; however, as I walked within distance of its motion sensor the orange-red flickering light turned to bright white light...it was pretty cool! All four of the Aooteks were mounted about a year ago and work efficiently.
I already have some solar lights (great idea). I like the 12V defroster as a heater! You could probably use it as a tent heater with a power station in a pinch. I can see where your granddaughter got her good looks! 😉
That pointed end is an emergency window punch. It shadders your window in an emergency if your trapped or if you come up on an accident and others are trapped you can shadder their window to help them get out. You put the point right in the lower corner ( either side) and hit the window with some force and it will shadder getting yourself and or others out. USB rechargeable cupboard lights are inexpensive and perfect for lighting vans you can get so many different types on Amazon, just keep a power bank to charge them up or use the Jackery or a car 12V USB adaptor.
I like your repurposed shoe holders. I also like that you have light colored items in your van. More cheerful for the mind to me. Personal preference. The flashlight and outdoor light are cool too.

Cool stuff! My living space is even smaller. I have a canopy on my 4 cyl. pick up. There are windows between the canopy and the cab, so the defroster cum heater looks perfect. My usual heater is a UCO Candlelier in conjunction with wearing wool long johns. I spread open an aluminum can to block the light.
It works really great. My stepfather gets the credit for that one! He gifted it to me when he knew I was going to do this and said it had kept him warm in his truck in winter when he and my mom pulled over to sleep at rest stops on their way somewhere.

It works really great. My stepfather gets the credit for that one! He gifted it to me when he knew I was going to do this and said it had kept him warm in his truck in winter when he and my mom pulled over to sleep at rest stops on their way somewhere.

I really like your style of vids. Never thought about the window defroster. I have a car heater which sucks to much from my Jackery but this smaller one would be perfect but maybe take longer to heat up the back of my mini van but def. a help. Thankyou
