ELTON JOHN "Empty Garden" (tribute to JOHN LENNON) acoustic piano & vocal cover

A dark song for one of music's darkest anniversaries, 41 years ago. Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin wrote Empty Garden for the founder and leader of the most influential band of all time, shortly after his death, and the song was released in early 1982 on the Jump Up album. Empty Garden is strangely underrated in the EJ catalog, perhaps because Elton has not often played it at his live shows, and even 40 years later, the lyrics still feel raw and bitter - a testament to Taupin's brilliant writing achievement. No commercial use.
