  • This video is about the Hogtunes bluetooth Controller. I installed this on my 2008 Street Glide and it works GREAT for streaming my music from my iPhone or my iPod to the HD factory radio. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!

    Just installed my unit today. Thank you for this video. Installed with no issues except the orange wire spade for the cigarette lighter needed to be crimped a bit to maintain a tight connection.

    But anyone else you want to talk to needs to have one and if you have a factory installed CB (2010 ultra classic's) it won't allow you to connect thru the headset. The passenger needs to have one of these units as well so that doubles your cost. I guess if all you want is to hear is music then go for it. A lot of us need the CB to communicate to a lot of people in a group ride.

      Riley R you can still use the cb, it's only using the aux input.

    Good video, I have the same amp and speakers and just got the Bluetooth device, what did you tap into to power the Bluetooth device? I was thinking the power wire going to the amp. I tried a few different things n just blew fuses, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

      I made that video quite some time ago and I do not recall exactly, about the power wire. I should have shown or mentioned it in the video though? Maybe it was the cig lighter power wire that I used 🤔

      Thanks Jason for responding. The amp is tied to the cigarette lighter as per the directions. I tried tapping into cigarette lighter again n blew fuses, so apparently I need to draw power elsewhere. Drawing power from gauges didn’t seem to work either! Waiting on hogtunes for a response. Thanks again, ride safe!

    Hi! Thanks for the video. Question: will the chrome ring that is on the temp gauge you removed and match the other gauges fit the Bluetooth device?

    • @jster171
      @jster171  Před 7 lety

      Keith Stokes , I didn't try to use that ring, but I don't think it will fit?? Not totally sure though....

    Can't you use the 1/8" input on the Hogtunes amp instead of using the one on the front of the stereo? If not... what's it for?

    • @jster171
      @jster171  Před 7 lety +1

      I think you probably could? I didn't try it. I understand the 1/8" input is for a secondary accessory, whatever that might be is up to you I guess. As long as it has a comparable output....

      If u do that the handle bar controls will not work for volume it’s like ur eliminating the head unit function.
      The input on the amp is ideal if you want speakers with BT / amp with no head unit. Like on a road king for example

    Thanks for the video. When you plug into the cigarette lighter do you lose the function of the lighter? Also how does it sound overall? Are you happy with it? Thanks again!

    • @jster171
      @jster171  Před 5 lety

      Your welcome and Yes, the lighter still works. I am VERY happy with it, I use it 99% of the time, streaming from my phone. I RARELY use the FM radio or the CD player :)
