Sad to know that these elevators will be replaced soon by Mitsubishi Singapore (MSG) in a few months' time. Hopefully their MSG elevator replacements retain the large capacity of 16 people, else that would be a damn awful, disappointing downgrade to smaller, crappier elevators.
Lift A seems to be in a worse condition than Lift B. Its ventilator is very noisy, its announcements were softer than Lift B and it felt slightly shakier than Lift B when moving up/down. Its buzzer (to tell that the elevator has arrived) has also worn out. If possible, I do hope that they replace Lift A first, then Lift B.
Lift B's interior floor indicator has not been replaced as well. I believe the interior buttons for both elevators were also modernized to from circular to squarish ones?

Is it true that VIP blocks have larger than usual elevators? Even if replaced, they should still retain their large capacities. (Blk 639 Bt Batok was another story.) So it means that MSG elevators should have large capacities.

Interior lift buttons are def replaced at some point
Blk 287 bukit batok also received a similar mod (except one of the lifts had received a heavier mod instead) and im quite sure the neighbouring blks had those circular buttons

Lol I remember Shaun Kong saying that Express lifts will sound off a siren if you door trick them on the first floor... Maybe the siren has worn out and they couldn't find parts to replace it

This blk is a little-known vip block. That’s why it has enlarged capacity. I doubt any vips visited though. The 25th floor is a viewing gallery. This block and the others in the area are built over long-demolish 1969/70 hdb blocks that were demolish in the late 80/early 90s.
