- Powerstrike is the one and only mom of Nothing, Fire, and Spark. We have seen further into the series, that Powerstrike tries to pretend not to love her dearest. She is one of the more complex characters in the series. And I hope to see her in the future :))

I think she feels "weak" when looking at Nothing's scars, because she feels weak for not being there to protect her family when they were attacked.

Poor powerstrike you can tell that she feels guilty about what she did only seeing nothing as an achievement instead of a daughter she may have failed her as a mother but she can't deny deep down she still loves her however whether nothing forgives her or not is entirely up to her but just because she left the sister steppe alongside Farleap doesn't mean she's off the hook at least not yet I feel sorry for all she's lost and all she was forced to do
Her guilt becomes even more clear in an AU I have in the works (though I don’t plan on releasing it to the public, at least for now). Very early in it, Hover, Farleap, and Powerstrike get attacked by hyenas while they’re out searching for Nothing. Hover is severely injured, Farleap is killed instantly, and Powerstrike dies of her injuries shortly after the hyenas were chased away by Hover. When she says her last words, she tells Hover to tell Nothing that she really wishes she was never manipulated into her treatment of Nothing, even telling her to tell Nothing she must change her name, saying that failing her will continue to torment her in death. She even shows that she is aware of how wrong her actions were by saying she understands if Nothing doesn’t forgive her. She says those words in a very sad tone, too, clearly having not wanted to die because she desperately wanted to make amends with her. (the only reason Powerstrike dies in this AU is because some people still hate her, even after showing she secretly loved Nothing unconditionally)
I even sensed a bit of guilt in Episode 5. When she tells Nothing that her scars make her feel weak, she tries to sound serious but sounds extremely sad and guilt-stricken, almost on the verge of tears over what Quickmane’s manipulation has led to. I can tell she really didn’t want to have to say all that, but felt like she had no choice.
@@staycuteunikitty3527 I would have to agree I also like to believe that quickmane forced himself on top of her and that's how Farleap and silent stalk where born but they don't know that and I also like to believe that he also forced power strike to forget about starmane but she really didn't want to because she still loves him and you can tell but he wanted her to hate nothing when she really didn't he have also abused power strike and forced her to hate nothing and fire when in reality she really didn't want to at least that's what I believe hopefully in season 2 will get our answers

Despite everything, I think that deep down she just wants her daughter to have happiness in her life, something she herself is either unable or cannot give. When meeting Hover, Powerstrike despised her, but when she woke up 4:11 and saw Nothing leaving with Hover, I bet she secretly followed them and saw how happy Nothing was with Hover before she went back to the pride just a minute ahead of Nothing. 4:12, she could have lashed out at Nothing for spending time with Hover due to her rank as an prideless/outsider, but she didn't. Also, when she meets Hover again, she was less to zero point hostile towards her and more accepting towards her (secretly hoping that maybe Nothing could finally have a happiness.) In addition, when she told to Proudmane that she and Quickmane accepted Hover despite knowing what her love towards Nothing was against the Pride Law, I think that it was mostly Powerstrike who insisted to let Hover to stay in the pride (as Quickmake cared nothing about Nothing but respected the lionesses such as Powerstrike.)
You know now that I think about that actually makes sense quickmane didn't give a s*** about nothing and power strike did because deep down she's secretly did not want this kind of life for her daughter she accepted hover because it was the only way to give her the love that she felt like she couldn't but also I still think that when she secretly saw them she was thinking about how much she loved starmane and how much she secretly misses him even though she was in denial and was happy with him and wanted that same happiness for her daughter even though she never showed it you can tell by the end of episode 7 that she was feeling guilty about all she's done and she had to ask herself is this really what I wanted from my daughter to die is this really how I saw her as nothing more than a disappointment no it's not and I know it isn't

i know i’m gonna cry when Hover Farleap and Powerstrike finally find Nothing again and Powerstrike says sorry and finally accept her and they all can be happy bcz me and my mother didn’t understand us for very long and i was afraid of her now finally since 2 months we understand us and we love each other with all our of our heart
Powerstrike is a lioness true to her name she is the only one that make manes tremble whit only a simple growl
She loved her cubs when they were younger. Tragic she decided to neglect them when they got older in favor for her new liter. Sharptongue set up Nothing with a bad life by forcing the useless mane to stay with them. Quick obviously played a role in Powerstrike's coldness towards her first liter.
So do you think that Sharptounge was like...the LOUSIEST old lioness this WHOLE entire time and also in the *My Pride* series as well???

I think that if Starmane was still alive, she would have been a better mother. She secretly did love Nothing and I know she was cruel to her but in episode 4 or 5 (I can't remember) she said to Nothing "I love you so much it hurts". I think this because Quickmane treated Nothing badly and was a giant jerk to everyone (even to his children as he made them believe Nothing was a demon). I think that Quickmane probably abused Powerstrike by making her to be horrible to Nothing as Quickmane was really nasty to Nothing. So Powerstrike probably changed because she lived with this asshole of a mane for years so she kinda got use to the abuse Quickmane used to give out. I'd also like to say that I know that Powerstrike replaced Sharptongue as thd hunt chief because she thought she would just get better, of course that sounds nasty but Quickmane never showed any concern about Sharptongue so maybe Powerstrike felt that she had to be stern instead of supporting her because she was afraid of what Quickmane's reaction might of been. I'm saying that Powerstrike might of been afraid of Quickmane for two reasons
1. Since Nothing got injured as a cub (from episode 1) Powerstrike was really scared that Quickmane might do something to Nothing while she wasn't looking so she felt that she had to be cruel to Nothing so Quickmane didn't do anything. (I know Quickmane knew that the gods would punish him if he harmed Nothing but Powerstrike wasn't sure so she was really scared)
2. Quickmane is really big and intimidating and since he already killed Starmane, Powerstrike was scared he might kill someone else since he was very heartless.
Also while Nothing introduced Hover, Quickmane snapped at Nothing (because Powerstrike was heartbroken). So when Nothing tried to touch Powerstrike, she said "Don't touch me! I don't want your pity!" because if Nothing would try to that to Quickmane (which she wouldn't 😂 but I'm just saying), he probably would have gotten angry at Nothing. So Powerstrike probably felt she had to snal because that's how Quickmane probably would have reacted so she probably felt she had to snap at Nothing because of the pressure of how Quickmane had treated Nothing. But she did let Hover in her pride still because it was her way to cope with the loss to have another huntress so she could feel some comfort.
When Proudmane took over, Powerstrike was hurt because she thought she lost her daughter. And she didn't even have a chance to care for her the way she should have which she obviously regretted badly. And when her, Farleap and Hover (Longrun), after Hover asks why Powerstrike came with, Powerstrike finally opened up and said "You're the last I had of her" and she even said that she knew Nothing loved her. She was obviously hurt and desperately wanted to find Nothing so she could explain herself.
I'm giving Powerstrike a chance to be a better mother. If she does mess up again I'll be like "😑why".
BTW I worked my butt off writing this comment. I went in waaayyy too much detail explaining what I thought. I'm not joking this took me at least half an hour to write down. Good luck reading this.
I agree with you I like to believe that she secretly missis starmane and still loves him to this day and that quikmane forced powrestrike to move on from him but she didn't want to

I just want to point that Quickmane isn't really a total jerk, since he and Powerstrike accepted Hover eventhough she had a relationship with Nothing.
Plus, he's worried about her (Sharptongue's death) and about his cubs (he nuzzles Feather in episode 5, and even Feather mentions to Proud that Quickmane already played with him and Feather's sisters, which proves that he does care about them)
And he's nasty to Nothing since, eventhough she had the right to use self-defense, she still ripped out his eye (I think that everyone could hate someone who did this to them, if they have to live with that someone)
This said, your theory about Powerstrike being kind of abused by Quickmane is really interresting, and it could explain why she quickly accepted him as a Mane, after Starmane's death, and gave birth to Farleap and Silentstalk.
I agree. Quickmane was a jerk to anyone who he didn't like and somewhat of a good person, or should I say lion to anyone he did like. He honestly switched personalities from time to time. From being a huge jerk to a loving father. Sure you can say well Nothing put his children in danger and scratched out his eye but Quickmane also contributed to the table.
Ever since he was in charge he did Nothing but bully Nothing, calling Her "Demon" or "Slugrun". He also literally taunted her as he killed her brother and father In front of her own eyes. That was the whole point of Nothing scratching his eye. I definitely think he had some effect on Powerstrike.
Name one time during Quickmane's reign did she smile, and you can't think of one then you're on the right track. I think she was hard on Nothing because of Quickmane as well tbh. He would most likely express his hatred for Nothing and would start manipulating her actions.
When she was hurt for the first time Powerstrike held nothing but concern for her daughter, but when She was injured the second time Powerstrike didn't say anything for help. She must have did this not because she hated Nothing, but because she knew what would happen if she did show her that type of love and empathy.
Quickmane cannot hold his anger for the life of him so if he saw Powerstrike showing love to Nothing he would finish the Job he started. He was a very insecure and assuming mane, so he would see this as Powerstrike plotting with Nothing or saying something bad about him.
Not only that but Powerstrike even said he would never keep his word. He really didn't and still attacked Nothing. And instead of Killing Nothing he really killed himself.

Personally, I feel like Waterhunter is a better mother. Though we never hear her speak, it's shown that she cares for her Cubs and was most likely devastated at the fact that her two daughters died and Feather supposedly died.

You’re not spitting anything other than facts, a lot would change their word after episode 7, and I admit I did too at first. But I realized she was just being a jerk, and a hypocrite. She got mad when Nothing called her Mother but she called Sharptongue Mother when she was the hunt chief as well, and has the very nerve to give her own daughter a name like that, I just hold a strong hate for her.

I don't hate her but I do hate her actions. I'd like to believe that maybe seeing nothing injured hurt her alot and maybe The name nothing has a secret meaning to her.. Maybe to her it is a reminder that She did nothing when starmane was attacked and she did nothing to save her child. Maybe the trauma and pain got to her and maybe she went with hover because of the fact that deep down she knows hover is right and she wants to change.
I'm not saying her actions are valid but maybe there are reasons behind it.
yeah she’s such a confusing character you try not to hate her because of her actions but it’s merely impossible especially considering she followed a male who almost killed her daughter and kill her mate and son and supported his actions in hating Nothing and then blamed Nothing for not being good enough to be a hunts chief when it’s not her fault if anything she should blame Quickmane.
And I also realized something just as asra needs to reconcile with her sister suns nothing needs to reconcile with her mother

You can't really blame power strike she's really heartbroken after all she's been through she lost her beloved starmane and her son spark and was forced to have Cubs with another mane and she wants to love nothing but she feels like she can't and you can tell by the look on her face when she says I love you so much it hurts and the tone of her voice but she secretly does she just feels like she can't for some reason I think that quickmane abused her and forced her to hate her daughter and her son and or even threatened to kill them if she didn't have his Cubs and when in reality she really didn't want to hate her Cubs or forget about starmane and secretly missed him to this day so she wasn't happy the only man she was happy with and the only one that could make her smile is starmane he was the only mane the power strike truly loved she never loved quickmane she only accepted him as a mate a pride mate nothing more and the time we ever see her smile is an episode 1 and episode 7 at the end and she didn't want nothing or fire to die then and she doesn't want it now she never wanted it I believe all she wanted was to make sure nothing was safe and happy why do you think she let hover in because when she woke up and saw them leave she secretly followed them and saw how happy nothing was and she thought that hover can give her the love she couldn't and when she was told that proudmane killed quickmane and nothing she was relieved that quickmane was finally killed and that starmane and spark where avenged at last but was devastated when nothing was "killed" and because of that she was devastated that you couldn't apologize to nothing and explain herself and tell her how she truly felt but when she found out that nothing was still alive that's when she left the pride to make sure she was alive and okay she also left for hover cuz she was all she had left of her but she doesn't understand how nothing can still love her after all the harsh treatment I still also believe that she does love fire but I don't believe fire will forgive her he may just end up saying that his mother died long ago but I believe nothing will forgive her because no matter what she still her mother and nothing is still her daughter and they need to open up to each other about all they've been through so you can't really blame power strike when she's a victim of pride law herself for me I just feel sorry about what she's lost and how heartbroken she is and I believe that she will get to see starmane again in a dream sequence and gets to talk to him about what she's been through and how lost she is without him in season 2 but only time will tell

Powerstrike has a very unpleasant life, first she lost Spark and Starmane and then (I think) 2 years she had to live with Quickmane with whom she was definitely unhappy. Then she lost her mother ... And then it was said that her beloved daughter was dead 🥲

She's been through so much.
She's my favorite character. She loved nothing. She just wanted to hide it. She may have been mean but if it weren't for starmane dying she would've been a great mother. Bless her.

@possomattack if they had written Quickmane as more abusive and intimidating to the other lionesses, then her 180 switch from episode 1 to the rest of the series would be a bit more believable.

No, it’s understandable. That’s one of my only gripes with the show. I feel her character reformation wasn’t developed correctly. She is a nasty piece of work throughout the episodes, and we only got one episode of her feeling more sympathy.
