Thanks for the video, mate! It brings back so many memories. I've been to Samui twice and I can't get enough of it. Riding around on a scooter all day, relaxing on the beach (I personally prefer the south part of Lamai near grandmother/grandfather rocks and the beach to the east of the airport), walking through the flee markets, visiting the majestic temples (the lake temple i simply amazing), going on short trips on neighbouring islands... There's just SO much to do and see... Can't wait to go back...

Like most of the video but please do not ride the elephants ... youtube "why you shouldn't ride elephants" and learn for yourself its very sad what they do to these intelligent and sweet creatives :(

Why do white people ride horse ???? I see many police and officers in Europe country ride horses for working in the city , why ?
@@fij01i94 Horses are designed in a way that is ideal for riding, but riding elephants can be harmful and they are often abused in the process, while horses are generally treated like pets.

How many days i need in koh sumai to explore?
3-4 days is ok, but I have been there 3 days, one week and two weeks and the longer you stay the more time for relaxation.

September is the rainy season but still possible to go. This video is from July.
September is still in rainy season fairly ok, the "high" season start October with peak around western holidays (xmas - new year eve) and ends at May.

Eainy season does not start until late October or November, September is not rainy season on the Gulf islands, but it is on the Phuket side.
just came back, we had rain just for a few minutes in 12 days... What an amazing country!
If you don't like elephant rides,..don't ride...donate to the elephant fund...or adopt one

I've lived in other Asian countries for study/work, and even though I haven't physically been here, I can definitely see what you're saying. With respect, it currenlty looks like an over run tourist trap.

Nice video but since you have some issues with english should better use subs instead (just my opinion as figure it out hearing your commentary). As about "elephant ride"... I think it's not "fair" for these incredible animals that treat! (anyway better this than a circus ;/)I can call someone at least... "silly" to choose such activity in an island who offer so many other beautiful things. Koh Samui is one of my favorite places and "a nominee" to live permanent when i retire. (+ like)
Yes I know commentaries are not my strong side, but when you have to do everything yourself...:). It was actually just a coincidence that I filmed the elephants as they emerged from the forest just when I was filming the waterfall.
Where is the nude beach ? There's supposed to be one....

I was there way back, and lived quietly in a little hut on stilts close to the beach. Looks like it all turned into shit.

Do not ride elephants. It is a cruel and abusive industry that should be illegal, however naive tourists sadly continue to support it.

Terrible representation of Koh Samui. It promotes elephant trekking for one thing! It’s really bad in so many ways.... Koh samui is far more beautiful than this...
It does not promote elephant trekking. It was an observation. Other than that this is what we experienced and should be quite representative for the areas we visited.
