  • I finally created a photo book. I've been wanting to for some time and found the perfect opportunity too.
Check out the links below for other photobook website!
The Blurb book looks fantastic, it is so neat to see your photos in print form and all together. I decided to go with the 8x10 in. hardcover photobook with Premium Lustre paper. The color quality matches perfectly with my edits to look exactly how I wanted it too; I didn't even change my normal editing style. For 190 pages this is defiantly worth it, especially when they have sales!!!
Here are a few of websites I found during my research:
    www.blurb.com/photo-books
    (good value for lengthy books)
    www.nationsphotolab.com/
(huge canvas prints, maybe one day :D )
    www.adoramapix.com/app/produc...
(lay flat photo books, cost more though)
    www.zno.com/
    (another site I found)

I’ve made a few books through Blurb and have always been pleased with the results. Great images - just subscribed today and I’m looking forward to checking out more of your videos.

Great video. I’m considering a blurb book but I can’t assess the print quality. Is it a lot better than say Shutterfly or snapfish? I’m a bit of a quality snob, not as much about the materials but more with regards to the quality of the photo print. My photos are beautiful medium format files and I’d be very sad if they were grainy, poor color, etc. Any input on that? You indicated that you like the quality but was wondering how it compares to other services if you’ve tried any. Thanks so much

good video mate. obviously the photo in the centre of the book as easier to see because the wight of the book is dispersed more evenly compared to those at the front. Nice one.

Hi Bennet thank you for this, am now finally researching how to do my first Blurb book. I would like it if you could comment on the pros and cons of paying for the IN DESIGN program rather than using the program Blurb provides for free. thank you. Also did you sell your book? If so how was that process. Thanks again

      @Bennettsto  Před 6 lety

kloie picot of you don't have InDesign the blurb program will be just fine. I tried out the program but latter found out they have integration with InDesign so I went that route. I handled the sales my self through my website and would just hand deliver it to the dancers because I would see them again. I need ow you can sell through blurb and they will ship it directly to the customer then but I believe they talk a little cut of the money.

Hi Bennet thanks for your insight. Good idea about creating a site for the book. Did you submit it in RGB or CMYK. I just found this on the site For Adobe InDesign or Blurb’s PDF to Book workflow we recommend that final submitted images be placed into your page layout application in the CMYK color space. In addition to your images all graphics and page layout elements should be created in the CMYK color space to ensure greatest color accuracy of your printed book. Did a calendar before and There is a remarkable difference when converting the file

kloie picot I'm not to sure, in InDesign you just go to file and there's a tab for blurb book, you choose all the setting like book size and paper and it creates a file for you so I don't know what color space it's in. I would think it would be rgb because that's what you print photos at but it depends on the printer.

Thanks! This was basically a year book I made of the best photos. I have a video in the works of shooting their winter dance concert but it's gonna take alot of editing, you can expect it at some point.

already the right corner at the top is broken! 0:21 there is already a shot in it! :-( make a picture! send it to blurb and you receive a new one! not very pro from blurb already sends with a broken corner.
otherwise, I often order at by blurb because there are very nice the prints!

Good luck with Blurb. 1. Do a book. 2. Wait 3 days then try to print. 3 choose a font that is not compatible.4 pull your hair out. 5 look for another book company.

Your fixin for a disappointment. Blurb people are very rude and they WILL NOT PAY ANY PROFIT PAYMENTS. Burnt me $100
