Informative, interesting and entertaining! A must see for all those interested in literacy difficulties. The seeds are being sown for much better initial reading instruction and intervention thanks to the work of David Kirkpatrick and the Reading League. Just need to increase access to this in initial teacher education and continuing professional development.

Thank you for this podcast episode! I'm a second year PsyD. student at the Widener University Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology (IGCP). I watched this as an assignment for my clinical psychology course in School Psychology Assessment. I really appreciated getting to hear more about the skills involved in phonological processing, assessments to use/learning how they're different, and hearing about useful places to find research and resources. This looks like an interesting podcast series so I'm hoping to watch more of these and find useful information in them.

Excellent. Thank you. I am a reading teacher and love Dr. Kilpatrick's work. I am also a member of The Reading League. The information in this podcast is really important for teachers to know. Thank you for posting.

Thank you for this excellent webinar! I've watched several of Dr. Kilpatrick's presentations online and am so excited about his work. This format was an effective way to cover Dr. Kilpatrick's knowlege and work in bringing research to practice in schools. As the parent of two grown kids who struggled significantly with dyslexia, (the younger of whom received explicit, systematic, multi-sensory instruction but didn't developed automaticity), and now as a Decoding Dyslexia CA volunteer and school trustee trying to influence how dyslexia is addressed in CA public schools, I am so encouraged to learn that teaching phonemic manipulation practice to automaticity could be the missing link to orthographic mapping. This group's thoughtful questions and buy in to Dr. Kilpatrick's answers gave me hope! Thank you!

What a great comment! We absolutely love Dr. Kilpatrick and hope to have him back for another episode down the line. I wish that school systems and professionals were more aware of some of the things he covered
