To anyone who believes in God, what sadguru is saying here is that you need to think in order to guide your next actions to survive in this world but you don't need to think when it comes to spirituality, you just need to surrender yourself to something that your thoughts will never be able to comprehend. So what he's saying is thoughts will only take you so far but beyond this world, i.e. a path to true enlightenment will not happen if you keep relying on old thoughts for thoughts will never produce something new and unseen. So acknowledge your thoughts but don't give them more importance than is needed. Thoughts can fuel your beliefs but it will never help you accept an unexplored possibility about your beliefs, since it makes you rigid and not flexible to have thoughts/conclusions which is not conducive to spiritual growth any longer...

Your thoughts are called trash, because they are simply the opinions you make. Thoughts about god is important so you can have some form of belief within you but to be on the spiritual path you need to know that you know nothing and trust God and surrender to him. I think what sadguru wants to say is that don't overly rely on thoughts that you and I produce, because they are just small conclusions we make all the time in order to survive. Real belief is to surrender yourself to the unknown. Words of Jesus are not thoughts, they are life itself and will guide your spiritual life. But don't make your own conclusions/thoughts because you can never truly know the unknown with your own thoughts/conclusions 🙏

I totally disagree with Sadhguru on these statements. Thoughts lead to actions, so holy thoughts lead to holy actions. Therefore, holy thoughts are not trash. Actions are not imaginations, they are our shared reality.🙏🏽
