I'm going back to watch again. It was easy for you to just talk about this right off the top of your head but me I've got to hear it or read it more then once. God, I hope the world doesn't turn vegan as The Powers That Be, want it so! I've recently gone carnivore and found so much health and healing in this diet. I have so much energy, and it has cured my depression and anxiety. It has been a real game changer in my life. I never want to go back!

This is so timely for me, if only to answer a question I was thinking about just yesterday. Back when I was a high-carb eater (more than 8 years ago now), my husband knew that if we went to a restaurant in the evening (i.e., my 2nd or 3rd meal of the day), we'd have to hang around for 30-40 minutes after finishing our meal so I could determine whether I'd need to rush to the bathroom with GI distress. Whatever I'd eaten earlier in the day would suddenly be forced out, in a manner of speaking. If we didn't wait, I might find myself in the very uncomfortable position of being in the car or somewhere else without access to a bathroom. When I switched to a LCHF way of eating (yes, I've been doing it long enough that we didn't call it "keto" back then), that stopped happening. I had learned about "dumping syndrome" before but I'd forgotten what it was called or how it worked, so this video helped fill in those blanks. It also reminds me of how funny vegans are when they claim meat-eaters' colons are full of rotting meat. Ha! If your colon has rotting meat in it, you've either got much bigger physiological problems or you've been gaslighted into believing something ridiculous. I think I know which one is true.

My 24 year old son has Down syndrome has poor digestion and slow motility, he bloats severely and has always had erratic bowel movements mainly severe constipation followed by a huge (and messy) evacuation then more constipation...this is his all or nothing cycle. I've started giving him fatty burger with all the fatty juices and poached egg plus salt for breakfast, sardine mayo plus boiled egg, feta cheese, tomatoes, salt and balsamic vinegar for lunch, and some form of fatty meat for dinner. He drinks more than 2 litres of water per day but has Movicol every day in sugar free squash because he's become dependent on laxatives... for 14 years now! I'm worried he'll end up with fecal impaction again if i stop them. I suspected SIBO and IBS but not sure now 🤔 and don't know if his system can tolerate such a high protein, high fat diet...he's unique, just as everyone is. Not sure what to do to be honest. Our doctors are unhelpful/uneducated in nutrition and just shrug their shoulders. I'm searching for answers every night on the internet.
    Glad i found you! 👍

As always, thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have only one comment regarding probiotics. Taking them helps me to stay regular, without that I suffer from constipation. Proteins, fat, some veggies and occasional carb ( I know, but I try to stay under 50 gr in those instances) cannot move much through a redundant colon.😢
One tries to do the best. And thanks again for bringing food addiction and importance of bridges to my understanding.😊

Your information is very valuable. I do not have a gull bladder . I have been on carnivore for 3 months and my Hashimoto’s body pain is no longer. Unfortunately my digestive system does not appreciate the meat and fat meals. My abdomen swells up painfully after each meal and explosive bowel movements are a daily occurrence which flares up the hemorrhoid situation. I do appreciate the fact that body pain which I have endured for the last 25 years has disappeared but I now have a digestive problem that severely dictates my capability to enjoy a normal daily life. Looking for advice.

It seems that in Carnivores (zero carbs) who get high glucose the cause is usually not excess protein turning to glucose but in some people with suppressed insulin become glucagon predominant that raises the glucose. Add a few healthy carbs insulin is stimulated glucagon suppressed and glucose goes down.

I think we all need more explanations about how fat is metabolised! I mean that all keto fighters insist that all the dietary fat we consume ends up in our blood and that's why we have so abnormally high LDL - C. They also make it picture for impression! They show a sink that we dump fat in it and beneath the pipes get clogged by the slime of fat! So my dear doctor explain in a more specific and clear way: Why when we EAT fatty meat and eggs and butter and bacon etc, our blood STAYS CLEAN from all this fat we stuffed in our body. Thank you in advance.

I have been thinking something like that about SIBO because they are also finding out now that our microbiome can shift every day... It is difficult to contemplate all the variables and still attribute the cause to one of them. On the other hand, I know patients that have some antibiotic treatment with capsules and that helps them a lot. Of course, as you said, with the dietary pattern, when you mix processed stuff with vegetables for example, or any food really, you are giving the perfect environment to bother your intestines and many problems can start there.

    • @YevKS
      @YevKS Před 8 měsíci

@@robertcywes2966 Yes, we are at one on that. My point was only that it is okay to have tools available to deal with these temporary problems. I mean, SIBO is real, only it is nothing new, and that is the problem. The big problem are the wrong people using these marketing tools in a fraudulent way to perpetuate disease instead of educating people to achieve the right mindset and patterns (which are very simple and easy to understand), and completely avoid those problems in the first place. all the nightshade-related items, tomatoes, maybe peppers, definitely potatoes, and I think maybe eggplant, are found by many to trigger or inflame arthritis, though some can enjoy them if skin and seeds are removed.

they do at $500 first consultation for around an hour (45 mins to z60 mins, i don’t really exactly… I texted their number to ask) Follow up visits are shorter and less $
Last I know they were booking into July or so for telemed appointments
call them, maybe cheaper to go in person if you happen to be nearby at some time

I really have gut issues and I do not absorb fat. I was wondering your thoughts on digestive enzymes. I’m 5 ft 3 and I weigh 148 pounds. 61 yrs. I just don’t feel like I can do 100% Carnivore

In order to do it's Job healing you, your body needs a break from metabolishing food, to concentrate on the healing. It therefore suppresses your appetite, so it doesn't have to do two major tasks simultaneously.

Sorry Dr. Cywes for avoiding the subject of the video, and talking about your sponsor...
But, if everybody goes into nutritional ketosis after not eating for a couple days. And we maintain ketosis by not eating carbs. Why do you need keto-iq after a no calorie monday, or after exercising?
Since you began those advertisings, i sadly think less of you... You should explain how this ketone-iq thing is working and why it makes sense...
    If you even read this...
