  • We start with the basics of pavers by laying out the string line, determine cut depth, excavate for subbase, put base in 2 lifts, pack each lift, set screed rails for sand, lay out field and get ready for cuts & also Test the ASV-RT-50''s lifting capability-over and over.

Ive been watching you for years and love your project. I and a Forman in the NC area for hardscapes and we use the same general method as you guys. A few things we do differently though. We use SS5 soil separator fabric under every patio. It is somewhat permeable so any water trapped can wear through. Followed by 4-6 inches of ABC amd instead of using sand we use 1-1.5 inches of 89 stone compacted. This stone allows the water trapped under patios to weap out but won't shift over time like sand if the patio experiences heavy weather. Last step is laying patio, tamp and sand it in. The only thing we have used sand for is travertine patios. Love watching you guys work; always something to learn from you guys. Keep it up.

Many times we had a small to medium demo, yet the cost of a dumpster is a few hundred bucks. So now we just use the dump trailer when a 30 yd dumpster isnt needed. Even after labor and dump fees we have calculated that we save about $100 per month from our previous demo disposal costs. Gotta love that
