Just a reminder that you can core adjacent to your cores or subjects cores on the same continent. They do not in-fact need to own the cores. Yes this means we can now expand into Venice despite our main landmass being far away from him. Due to the Austrian cores.

If you play Teutonic Order, you can immediately do your mission to join the empire. This will interrupt the shadow kingdom event, causing the Teutonic Enters the HRE event. When they let you in, it adds 20 IA, and it will fast track the first reform to go off in the first few years. Then you leave the HRE after the reform passes. Defeat Polland and choose the HRE Diplo path and you will rejoin the HRE and flip tags to Prussia, proc the IA for joining the empire AGAIN. Shadow Kingdom will proc again but it can take 3 or 4 event cycles, giving you plenty of time to get elected before loosing Italy. Watching AI Austria abandon Italy really breaks my heart every time, So this little trick blew my mind.

Does the mission not have a "there is no imperial incident active" requirement?

Explain how you are able to cancel the Shadow Kingdom incident more than once? I understand once, maybe twice but how can you break the incident 3 or 4 times and still get elected before it happens?

You have to play as Teutonic Order. You have a mission that let's you join the empire, if you get 100 relations with Austria. Do that mission first, and make sure you have diplorep 2 so you can enter the empire without restrictions. When you fire the event, it can interrupt an ongoing imperial incident, because you are firing an event from a mission it interrupts the shadow kingdom. I have gotten to 1480 with no shadow kingdom, because it has to fire again and other imperial incidents start to occur.
When you do this, you will cause the empire to gain 20 imperial authority, and the empire already starts with some so you get the first reform much earlier because you also stop shadow kingdom from causing a loss
If you want to become Prussia you can then just leave the empire before you finish the mission to defeat poland. I'm not sure if it causes a loss of IA, but I always do this after the first reform. When you click the mission to defeat poland, pick the diplomatic path and you will instantly tag switch to Prussian monarchy and rejoin the empire, with a subjugate cb on Brandenburg.
Easily done by around 1455, you can ally Hungary and either Denmark or Bohemia to beat Poland. You can easily win the first election, and usually with 2 reforms already passed, depending on things. Breaking the shadow kingdom and forming 1455 catholic Prussia is probably one of the best ways to play emporer, up there with Austria and Bohemia.
Did I mention military tradition and +20 discipline? Op.

this just opened my mind too so much. If you combine this with the Burgundian inheritance you can boarder the empire as, Russia, Spain, Portugal, any christian nation that wants to can just insert themselves into the HRE at any time.

Oh Man, @Budgetmonk your a lifesaver. This is the missing piece in my Burgundypuzzle.
I remember my last Burgundy run: I had Bohemia/Austria rivaling each other, so I Royal Married Bohemia, snagged a PU (as Burgundy you can't never ever have enough PUs IMO. Killed France together with Austria and one of the Hispanics, inherited the lowlands when the Burgundian inheritance fired and entered the Empire and then it stopped being fun.
I had to wait 50 years till the Emperor finally died and it was superhard to beat Austria for the election. (I don't remember if transfer electorship was possible then). It was super frustrating because I had to watch how they did jack shit against the reformation. And when I finally got it, I felt super burned out the the Imperial authority was down the drain.
Bohemia with most of France and the lowlands at their disposal should be able to beat the crap out of Austria and usurp the emperorship maybe even before the reformation even fires.
    Thanks again man!

I've tried it with Bohemia, setup aligning almost perfectly with this one, however, first dow turned into a mild death war, Austria picked more land from separate-peacing allies, pushing them over 200% warscore, everyone slowly white-peaced out, and, after 7 years of war, 700+ worth of loans and 300k+ combined losses Austrian ruler croaked and I was elected emperor anyway! 🤣 This is a good strat, but you also have to be good at the game I guess 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t know if you have tried that or not (you probably know this better than me monk). Maybe try to fully transfer the land to one country? That way they (might) peace out with a few provinces taken, especially like burgundy with militaristic rulers. I have tried similar thing on timurids/ajam war, which by fully transferring the land you occupied the others, wait for them to peace out, then take the land of the target country have over 100 war scores. And since you have call in like 8 nations, replicas this a few times without destroying Austria’s army seems doable.

    • @alvinchoquet5761
      @alvinchoquet5761 Před 8 měsíci +7

The negative attitude modifier would phase out in time. I guess having austria as a vassal, being emperor, with close to no AE, and being able to reconquer austria for very little Ae in less then 10 years is worth the -100 opinion modifier which would go up to 0 in like 20 years if you have a relation advisor. Plus you can go up to 200 improving relations with dependencies. I might misunderstand what you mean with the rival penaltly, but I fail to see the pb here. Bonus massively outweight the loss. Also as he basically destroyed austria 3 times in row, you can see his PP going up. This is the advantage of having them as a rival i guess.

Also annexing any empire nation will incur a -20 relations hit with everyone else in the empire, so thats like another 20 ae, since positive relations can be thought of as a larger ae buffer.
