For all of you who seem to be confused by the storyline in this MV, here is my brief interpretation.
If you notice in the beginning of Minho's "Heartbreak" MV, it shows the date 2021 12 21, which means he is in the present, but a few seconds later we see him in 2049 12 21 -- 28 years in the future. I see the car as a time machine and Minho keeps going back and forth in time trying to change the outcome of his life and to try to fix things. However, in the end he realizes that no matter what he does it will always end in heartbreak. So instead of continuing to relive the same pattern over and over again, he convinces himself to burn the car and stop living in the past. Without the car he can no longer travel back in time or see the future, so he is forcing himself to live in the present and except fate as it comes. As the lyrics of the song say, "You're just here for the heartbreak." Therefore, he eventually comes to the conclusion that nothing will change, so why keep reliving the heartbreak over and over again.
I also see how this MV might be connected to his previous single "I'm Home," as well as SHINee's MV for their song "Tell Me What to Do," among others. In "I'm Home" he is also stuck in a time loop and he is just going through the motions trying to find a sense of home. In "I'm Home" he keeps having to answer the phone, just like we see him doing in "Heartbreak." He seems to always be confused by the message he hears, or the fact that maybe there is nothing on the line, when he picks up the phone in "I'm Home," so maybe this is connected to the fact that he keeps calling someone or retrieving a message on the phone in "Heartbreak."
In "Tell Me What to Do" we see Minho is in a relationship with a girl and although it's not his fault, he is causing Taemin to be heartbroken because he was also in love with the girl, and the other members are heartbroken because of the rift it is causing between them as a group of friends. The story in "Tell Me What to Do" has a completely different vibe than anything SHINee has ever done, and it was all about jealousy and division within their friendship, so I think that maybe "Heartbreak" is either an alternate reality or time period where Minho is trying to change the outcome of everything that happened in "Tell Me What to Do," etc. But as we see in "Heartbreak," he realizes that no matter what he does, it still will end in heartbreak, regardless of how the story plays out.
I also have a feeling that eventually we will see connections between the storyline in the "Heartbreak" MV to the rest of SM's SM Culture Universe storyline, and it may even be connected to Minho's and SHINee's future MVs.

I just found out about Minho because I started watching a Korean drama that he's in called "Hwarang"! I was surprised to find out that his group did the song Stand By Me for Boys Over Flowers! I started listening to more of his music and SHINee's and I love it! And I love him 🥰

I am EXO-L but while was working and CZcams was on autoplay , I heard this song, and was like , instantly caught up,! So turned around to see the monitor , and Whoa. it was Minho. I rewatched this so many times and played the song on my phone for some friends. They are none Kpop stans , but really complimented what they heard, and asked "who's that" . So yeah! Definitely a win. He sings great and his acting great too. I have been busy lately , so mostly have time to only follow EXO updates but this, Yes! is so fantastic! I stopped working because this got my attention . I really love it!
