- The song in this video is performed by some random guy in NYC who will probably never see this. I filmed awkwardly close to him with a zeiss 50mm 1.4, using only the 7D to capture sound. The rest of the footage is a mixture of the zeiss and a Nikon 24mm. It is all handheld and barely color corrected. Enjoy.

If 7D footage looks THAT good, with minimal editing needed- then home videos have reached a new age. I mean, the 7D and a lense cost about as much as a home computer used to (and a really good one can still cost)- so pretty much anyone who really wants to, can get a professional quality look. I think it's very exciting!

This is beautiful, very well edited, beautiful compositions and imagery! How much does a nikon mount for the 7D cost? You've basically sold the 7D for me, the only thing thats holding me back is I'm waiting to see how that 24p upgrade goes for the 5D. I love the fact that it's barley color corrected.

I would recommend using the "Cinestyle" picture profile from Technicolor. It's free and increases the latitude of your camera (will look flat but it's great for getting more information for post).
@marcus53718 try and get fast primes....35mm 1.4 is an all around great lens.
