Gnw kinda sucks ass against sword characters that can space him out. ig the logic was that Chrom can space him out more effectively. but roy and chroms whole gameplan revolves around getting in for combos and kill confirms

There’s rarely a reason to go Chrom over Roy besides just preferring Chrom

Against gnw specifically he wants to get in so close for the up b and chrom doesn’t have to get as close as Roy because he doesn’t have the sweet spot at the hilt, as well as having the up b out of shield but idk if that really matters
