Jerry Seinfeld Performs Standup
/ fallontonight - Komedie
I feel like this guy has a lot of potential. I think he's gonna be big someday
The man has had his own show for a decade... Did you get up from a comatose??
+Tushar Jambhekar i think he meant it rhetorically
+deejaygrannie Sorry man... Honest mistake, just saw some newbies feel Paul McCartney has potential after collaborating with Kanye West a few week back.
+panzerKO I'd give him a sitcom. 5 episodes or so. See how he goes...
me too, possibly. sitcom….. will see
I half expected Newmen to come bursting out from behind the curtains to tackle Jerry when he was making those cracks at postmen.
*Seinfeld talking about smart phones. Amusing.*
He still has what it takes. _"Who shall I favor? Who shall I delete?"_ :)
Crap forgot to watch..keep forgetting Leno's gone... ***** I'll check it out on new laptop later.. I always liked him..
Thanks Martin, this is priceless!
This same bit is on Netflix as brand new right now...cute
Jerry is a master to be honest, he can take any subject and dissect it to the point where there's literally nothing left to be said.
YourPalHDee Well said
YourPalHDee It’s amazing how he can make PG things funny
It’s not that hard if you sit around for a week (or more!!??) to create these five minutes…
It might be something wrong with me, but I really find this funny. The way he says it all, the irony, the sober truth, his voice, these are priceless! I love his kind of stand-up comedy. By the way, he looks like he (almost) hasn't aged at all.
there's nothing wrong, he is amazing, and I love his very intelligent sweet comedy.
This guy's gonna be huge
Joe McKeown I see the shade😏😏😏
yyuuuggee
Nobody knew how huge he is.
Hahha
@BHAGWAN. R/woosh
Ahhh, he's still got it!
U still uploading?
The gay french king part is 100 percent accurate
nickmordo all of his stand ups are 100% accurate lol that's one of the reasons he's an amazing comedian
I disagree, gay French king is redundant.
@@ernestomarcos0103 If you knew your French History, you would know French kings were very far from being gay.
fem french king in the second decade
I am amazed how Seinfeld can totally draw out so much unsaid humor of our modern lifestyles that everyone else overlooks. We really are missing something by not having him on TV anymore.
He needs to train his replacement. Comedians could benefit from having an understudy program.
Afterall these years he still makes fun of Newman's job🤣😂
This is gold Jerry, Gold!!
Hahaha I still watch him on Seinfeld got every episode at home!!!!!!
He looks like Matt Lauer now.
Max Power not really but jews look like each other jerry has a few jew doppelgangers.
Uh-oh
These pretzels are making me thirsty
Fallon fake laughing in the background.
I could see him fake laughing from my house.
was that a desk slapping i heard?
Entire audience fake laughing in the foreground.
His act is what I imagine it would be like if Hollywood bigwigs decided to make a sitcom centred around a dull, unoriginal and unfunny performer and used "Wizard Of Oz" type smoke, mirrors and blindingly obvious PR propaganda in order to make many simple people think he was the funniest comedian ever.
Oh, hang on...
Erik Huerta LMAO SO TRUE.
PointlessSillyName yeah, he’s really not funny.
That 'gay french king' line earned a chuckle...
I don't think Newman is happy with this set.
Love when he looks over at Fallon at the end like “I just set the place on fire is that okay?”
Hilarious!! Oh, the image of the Postmaster general, despairing and declaring the stamps are Just going to have to go up a cent!! LOL!!
I am a mail carrier for USPS and that was hilarious!!
Finally a non-triggered response. :)
I can't stop imagining a bee talking to me xD
"juiced up hard rectangle" rofl
He really needs to be on television again! He still kills it!
That's a beautiful tie.
Trump ties
The postal service description is DEAD ON.
@Jay Ce The fact that this bit is old and they just put this out just shows how out of touch with the USPS most folks continue to be.
We've been delivering packages and being robbed with these pre-paid pensions that it's ridiculous
Lol these replies are certainly triggered, apparently taking themselves too seriously when he was clearly saying stuff like this for humor.
@@OMGtheykilledKenny42 Fuck his geeky, awkward ass. He's always had that punch me in the face type of attitude to me
Nearly every word serves a purpose. If you've seen this guy write a comedy bit. Even if you haven't. He's not just a comedian, he's a performer. And I don't mean that in a smug way. I mean go watch some other stand up from this channel the come back and compare. Listen to the rhythm and the diction of the words. The choices of consonants, of vowels. The breathing. All while performing like a marionette. It's all so subtle though mostly, but it adds up to something intangible . There's a reason he's one of the kings. He's an artist. I hate him for his talent.
Grae Hall Exactly right! Making clever observations is just one part of Seinfeld. I think you might be referring to the New York Times video he did on how to write a joke. He polishes his words, his expressions, the rhyme and rhythm and his voice so much, after coming up with the joke. The finished product is like a brilliant diamond
Grae Hall Brilliantly put. Amazing how bloody good Seinfeld is. Consummate professional who makes it look so easy but this 5min stand up routine probably took hours and hours of rewrites & rehearsals. Superbly written; this should be compulsive viewing for any budding young comedian wanting to get started in stand-up comedy.
+Grae Hall (“seven”) Also, the facial expression game is strong
+Grae “seven” Hall It didn't make me laugh though
it was pretty... boring
That's why his show was #1.
He was never a particularly funny part of the show, especially his stand up
When seinfield first came out, it actually was not that popular. Recently, or less around early/mid 2000 it become popular.
Not at all.
Just take your L, and leave. (Bruno)
Well...Him AND Larry David.
You betcha. Jerry hasn't lost it. He was great. Forgot how much I missed seeing him regularly.
Why didn't Jerry wear the puffy shirt?
Stephan Römer he don't want to look like a pirate
🤣
Lmao
As always, this is brilliant. Nobody does social commentary better than Jerry Seinfeld. The gay French king bit had me rolling haha
It's funny because he's clearly not making fun of Gays or the French, just the fact that most of us with smartphones stoop down to such a "royalty" mindset lol. So he's making fun of everyone essentially.
And the whole time I'm thinking ``When is he gunna say Newman!``
The"gay king george" part was hilarious. I've always enjoyed his comedy. Great job Jerry!!
A lot of people don't find Jerry funny as a stand up. But what I admire about him is how beautifully he crafts his jokes, the wordings, the pacing, the structure. Nobody does it better than him, since Carlin.
It's impressive/amazing how his style hasn't changed! It makes me feel like a child again when I use to see his shows, lol
Yeah- its amazing how much better comedy has gotten and how he still makes very sloppy attempts at observational comedy.
Jerry is pretty on point! I don't know many people that can go without there "rectangle!"
"If you got some money leftover buy yourself some pants and a real car" SEINFELD IS THE GOAT
15 year olds be like, who's Seinfeld?
haha true. I'm 16 and Seinfeld is one of my favorite shows & Jerry one of my fav comedians, don't know many like me though.
Emma Forman oh shut up
RoketRider I am 15 and i love seinfeld
RoketRider Me too
emma !!! Lol same I've probably seen every episode like 3 times
Newman should have turned up in the end..
Hello Neuman %^)*@#$
Hello Jerry.
love the shots of jimmy losing it in the background
US postal service: I don't know why, but I have the feeling some awesome guy is trash-talking my job.
As a former carrier for the post office I can tell you why they are "struggling" so much... of course it would take months to accomplish... since the idiots running that place are so incompetent... Jerry nailed it right on the head when he said that they are using technology from 1630!!! I've always loved Jerry, he's a great comedian, but now he's an even bigger hero in my eyes!!! For those of you who work for the post office, you know exactly what I'm talking about... for those who don't work there, just wait for my book that's coming out. The entire corruption will be exposed and then EVERYONE will know how fucked up the postal service is. You ROCK, Jerry... YOU ROCK!!!
Jerry: "Thank you. Thank you. Nice to meet you all. Congratulations on your life"
Jimmy: "Hahahahahahahaha. Funniest shit I've ever heard in my life!"
Imagine all of the Seinfeld episodes that could have been based around cell phones, online dating, etc.... it needs to come back.
I'm really starting to appreciate the genius and talent in Seinfeld. His observational style, his on stage confidence, and his storytelling are beyond amazing.
Yes! I can relate with everything he said. And that is why Jerry is hilarious. The love he puts into his work, such gifted talent, his well crafted material makes him the brilliant comedian he is.
hes so talented, and it all makes perfect sense..
Hello Newman!
It's true that this specific bit wasn't all that funny, but still... people need to keep in mind that he is, in fact, one of the all time comedic giants. He personified intellectual comedy. His observational skills made him an icon in the stand up world.
Sure, this video isn't one of his highlights. No where near it. But show some respect.
I was expecting him to say "Newman" .. somewhere during that postman joke 😅
I wonder what would make him laugh... he doesn't even laugh at his own jokes.
Laughing at you're own jokes is pretty arrogant! Comedians that do that are sorta douches, or they're fake laughing.
+Creepy Random Guy That doesn't make any sense, if you're perusing to be a comedian you have to find yourself funny and find humor in the jokes you're making.
+Dylan Podborny you can find humor in your own jokes but it doesn't make sense to laugh when you know what's coming and you've practiced it 1000 times before. Comedians who laugh at their own jokes aren't really laughing they just think it helps.
+Creepy Random Guy I agree to a extent that some comedians do it but when you're performing live there may be reactions from the crowd that may cause them to laugh after the joke, kevin hart does it all the time and i don't think he does it intentionally to make others laugh more.
probably a good ol dick joke.
that was awesome! I can't believe that there's so much criticism in this comment section. professional comedians with Actual Insight into this performance wouldn't have so much criticism
I didn't know what to expect but I found myself laughing a lot.....I was pleasantly surprised...I love Jimmy Fallon and the Roots....loved him on SNL and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon....I am glad that he is keeping most of the segments and games that he had on late night.....yay!!!!
Thanks for the love and support I really appreciate all the support you guy's are giving cos it keeps me going I really love to get in touch with my fan's and appreciate them for the love so you can reach me via WhatsApp : +16313886053 or via email :jerryseinfeld209@gmail.com
i was waiting so long for him to make the NEWMAN joke about mailmen
it's an acquired taste of comedy. i think it's hilarious. he puts a lot of thought in the wording and the delivering of his jokes. jerry is a genius.
He's still got it! Please don't be a stranger mister Seinfeld!
"Who pleases me today?"
HAHAHAHA!
“You have some money left over, buy yourself some pants and a real car.”
My parents and I laughed _so hard_ the first time we heard that.
Someone was booing and hissing when he started talking about the postal service.
Perhaps the best stand up performed on The Tonight Show the last 15 years. Strong stuff, Jerry!
+Dillerbas Did they send you?
Maybe Scamperface
"like a gay french king" lmao
LOL! That last line was GOLD!
Genius Jerry's jokes always on point and timeless!
Legend. Seinfeld can do no wrong.
got me knee slapping on my couch brother that was hilarious
Everyone has different taste in humor. I love Jerry Seinfeld's work and as an added and very special bonus love that he never uses curse words. Endlessly refreshing.
2:02 Ive NEVER heard Jerry curse in any of his stand up.
Hes humor has always been very clean this surprised me a lot.
Jerry uses "gd" alot in his stand-up. Watch some of his you tube videos.
Yeah, he started using more god damn and damned I noticed when I saw him almost a decade ago
Cell Phone part was amazing.
He's still got it!
Postal Service bit was spot on.
Never ceases to make me laugh
classic Seinfeld!
Jerry Seinfeld ♥♥♥ .... Evergreen!!
YEEAAAAHHHH Jerry! XD haha that was awesome.
he just got it!? damn the mail is slow 😂😂
Jerry needs to do more stand up! That was great!
I came in prepared to be disappointed since I've never enjoyed his show, but this was really great! I'd love to know if he wrote it himself.
Yeah he writes all his material
It shows.
Never realized how old Seinfeld is. Time goes by so fast.
the last line was just
Jerry's one of the funniest people ever. He seems like he's "clean cut" but he just believes if you have to swear in your act to make it funnier, then you're not a good enough comedian. The man!
He is a self-absorbed pompous ass. It would be a fallacy to use that as an excuse to say his comedy is bad. But to call him clean cut is just off.
That was pretty good
The should make a show with this guy, he is funny
I'm so glad this was in my suggestions this morning.
I feel sorry for the idiots in the comments who require constant sex jokes and cussing at people to be ever comically pleased.
I feel sorry for you, because you have no friends
Solar Flare and how do you reach that conclusion? I love Jim Jeffries, and you need to watch all of about 30 seconds to know what kind of comedy he does.
this is true comedy
+Madara Uchiha Uchiha Madara is dead...
According to you if people don't find something funny then that means it must be because it's not a sex jokes or have cussing in it. Did you ever think that maybe the clip just wasn't that funny? Sit down little kid.
Now that's funny stuff! Love it Jerry keep up the good work!
lmao his thing on postal office was good
PS the whole idea of him being intelligent is that he doesn't have to do toilet humor because he has a brain and he makes us laugh by using comedy from current events literature history politics medicine etc. he is so refreshing there is no one like him!
I really like Seinfeld, but I found this stand up to be somewhat lacking. The gay French king bit was funny though. AND, I LOVED the nod to Johnny Carson at the end. If Carson waved you over after your set, you KNEW you made it!
Refreshing to see somone see past the fact that his legacy dosnt mean his current jokes are funny
I love this guy!
I Love You!
why? hes not funny at all
ABONESR SMOOTH
He's one of the most clever and innovative comedians of all time. There's really no disputing that. And Seinfeld was the funniest, greatest and most well written tv show of all time. I can't even watch other sitcoms because all I think is "I'd rather be watching Seinfeld"
gregg mikulla i hope you are being sarcastic
i think malcolm in the middle was better written and more funny, i hate shows it canned laughs, where they are like "here! laugh here! did you laugh here?" the plot of seinfeld, which im currently watching right now is SO simple, the characters are so unrealistic and if they were realistic, i would think that they are some sociopaths, kramer is hilarious sometimes, but the rest are really annoying, especially jerry, then george and then elaine
i dont know if you are american or not, or it has something to do with your sense of humor, but im watching season 4 of seinfeld and the show so far only made me laugh five or six times at best
i cant recall of a show that was really funny to me, not even malcolm in the middle, because my sense of humor is tickled mostly by specific absurdisms and dark humor or black comedy
for me seinfeld and most of american comedy is so primitive, when i lived on cape cod for a summer and i flipped all the other bulgarians, so for five months i was only with americans, and when we hung out, i would say something thats barely funny to me and they would laugh their asses off
if you find seinfeld to be funny for you, then good for you, this means that if simple things like seinfeld can make you laugh your ass off for five hours straight, you are one happy person
He's still GOLDEN...man spews comedy GOLD like it aint a thang
While this may not be his best performance, Seinfeld has been killing it for decades and is a comic legend. How many of today's comic performances can claim to have no cursing, no slander, no negative racial elements, no crudeness or lewdness? These guys can't top themselves forever. Seinfeld may or may not continue to be relevant, but really there is not a lot left to prove.
Jimmy is laughing in darkness loooooooool
I have a hair on my tongue....
Mohammed Jaffer I have Kiboshed before... and I will Kibosh again...
Thank you for posting. You've got a great show. Congratulations and good luck!
ok so i was at his act a few weeks ago and he did this bit and i just want to let you all know it seems poor here, but the way he performed it ran a lot smoother and longer time-wise. he had as many hours as he wanted and performed it brilliantly
The biggest comedy game changers still has gas in his tank. I like seeing that.
2:03 Did Jerry Seinfeld actually curse OMG?
lol I read your comment at the precise moment it happened
Overcompensating now for his early years I guess
Perfect first comedian! I love Seinfeld. Good luck Jimmy
2:30 Hahahahaa solid
Like a gay French king.... ROFL
61 dislikes? Newman!
seinfelds comedy has always had so much truth in it. his part about texting vs talking is dead on. :)
Solid! That was gold Jerry. GOLD!
Shut up Banya
