    I use those Dixell universal controllers a lot, very versatile, and can use on a lot of different things, I've used them on beer keg direct draw coolers, reach-ins, prep tables etc. I always keep a spare one on my truck.
    Also, 1st :)😃

      There's a lot of issues with those 'proudly made in prc' dixell controllers on some low end ref. brands in europe.

    Super tech . Great great great detail video. Exactly what I was trying to learn. Question, please!!
    So 4@5 is the supply power . What is N 1 @ 6 LINE for . I thought line is the power !

    • @rowdybroomstick6394
      @rowdybroomstick6394 Před 20 dny +1

      That's not N1 that's line on number 6. Six provides power for whatever component is meant to be under #7. Notice #7 says load under it.
      Same thing for spot #1, which is line power, it provides power for #2 & #3 contact coils. Which generally on turbo air reach in, air curtain merchandiser's will have two compressors. #4 & #5 are one ground or neutral as he said and the other spot would be 120v. Hope this helps.

    My fan motor stopped running and condenser coil is frozen. I replaced the fan motor, however the fan motor is good but just not getting voltage. Can you help me identify the problem please? 🙏🏼 Thank you in advance 🙏🏼

      It's impossible to tell without being there but this is the procedure I would follow.
      1) check to see if the fuse is tripped
      2) check if power is making it to the coil itself.
      3) is the fan harness connected to the power source. Check for corrosion in tight connections.
      4) does the fan harness ground out when tested.
      5) check for chafed section of wires.
      This is how I would approach it good luck

    Installing the dicxel timers, are u going too need the thermostat, Sry I meant the existing factory thermostat, I want to install the dicxel to control the chiller now

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  Před 3 měsíci

      It depends on the type of controller you by.
      My controller that I bought in this video has a thermostat for a refrigeration relay. So I will not need anything else.
      This particular model also has an evaporator censor so I could set it up for defrost based on temperature.
      It's the only thing you would need.
      But there is a thirty amp limit on the defrost relay so you might have to install contactors for larger systems.
      Hope that helps.

      LS - Minimum set point
      If so typically most cases or systems will have Literature That would give you this value like a technical bulletin. But Most technicians just Go off of their gut.
      This Is like a safety for example if the compressor is just Constantly running and the temperature pulls down too far it will shut off the system.
      Maybe 10 to 15゚ under the The lowest possible set point.
      For example
      Set point 32
      With a swing of 2
      So the lowest is like 30
      There for
      LS = like 15
      Lots of people Leave this stock.
      UL = maximum set point
      Again this is like another safety thing where if somehow the system got to like a 100゚ it would shut off.
      Typically I see them set for 90 most people don't even touch him and you'll be fine.
      Those values are not the set point of your case the set point Is a different Parameter those are safety set points.
      To set your defrost you would need to look up whatever you're working on.
      For example if it's a hussmann evqp coil would go to the hussmann website look up their coil Technical bulletin and Program the defrost according to their outlined bulletin.
      I hope that helps good luck

      Thank you so much Gendron,
      Can I have question again? Thank you.
      So this is my freezer walking cooler. So I set LS 15•F to UL: 30•F
      So this mean that the temperature will go down maximum to 15•F and stop and relax until it reach to 30•F right?
      Thank you so much

    Can you make a video on the USBs. Have you ever used the Emerson USB stick this way you don’t have to constantly set parameters.
    You can have 1 USB for medium temp, 1 USB for low temp. It’s the same thing with case controllers for Emerson

  • @sonalshrigondekar2075

    Hi, can you give any idea how many condensing unit will require for any hard discount stores such as Walmart?

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  Před rokem

      Ummm kinda...
      So typically a store like a Walmart would not have a single condensing unit on a roof.
      Typically they would have like a large rack refrigeration system with a very large condenser.
      I have a video that kind of explains a system setup below.
      czcams.com/video/GtyrYqvvKBs/video.html
      This is the type of system that most large-scale supermarket would employ.
      But in all honesty there's really no way I could answer the question for example you could buy a condensing unit that could run 15 doors of ice cream we have plenty of stores that do that.
      But you could also buy a condensing unit that could only keep five doors of ice cream cold it's really up to you.
      Some of the stores that we service have a large parallel rack Refrigeration like the video up above. But then they will have like single condensers for the walk-in freezers and coolers.
      I hope that kind of answers your question but it's actually a very complex thing it's not just like oh you can have one condenser or something like that typically what an engineer would do is look at like I have these 25 different food service cases that I want to have in my store can you make that work.
      Then the engineer would put together the system needed.
      I hope that helps

      You might be better off getting the rubber one I think it's $120 it's a little bit better build quality good luck

      I'm not sure what A P1 is. I would have to break everything out in test myself. It's not like ideal with this Controller every day.
      But you should be able to Find the model number on the back and type it into google and write manual pdf. You should pop right up
      Good luck

    Do u hookup the evaporator fans to one of the terminals on control?

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  Před rokem +1

      If it if the case needs it then yes.
      So in this case when I looked at the controller there was no wire to do that the fans just run continuously and the fans are used as a way of defrosting the coil so you do not need to hook up the fans to the terminal on the Emerson controller. As I mentioned in the video you kind of have to look at Case by case

    having problems with this controller not defrosting on veg. case set at 45 degrees. checked room sensor works correctly turn on and off like it should. What about evap sensor? unit is freezing up.

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  Před rokem +1

      If it hasn't eve absensor I would definitely check at the evaporator censor.
      It could be loose or if it's not reading correctly you're right it will not terminate the Defrost. Some cases will have dual Directions so you could just set it For time off Defrost if the direction say you can. Most medium temperature Cases you can do both.

      @gendronhvac-r1269  Před rokem

      That is what the piper case manufacturer said to do.
      If I'm honest I have no idea why it could be many reasons but for whatever reason the manufacturers engineering team thought that that was appropriate.
      It could be for efficiency so the compressor has a good amount of time before it bumps on and off or it could be for ice buildup that by giving it such time off it will not build up ice.
      But I'm not sure I would have to contact Piper Engineering in order to find that out but if it was designed a certain way I try to put it back in the way it was designed unless I have an adequate reason to change the design.
      I hope that helps

      could be because doors open too frequently, to defrost properly, controller is measuring air temp products will not be affected they have (potential energy) stored temperature
