A dog showed up at the back of the property July 2021. I think she’s an American bulldog, but not sure. Moira reminds me of Sadie (we kept her, and no one was missing a dog nearby in my local Facebook page). Having a hard time still with Sadie, but not giving up. I have five other dogs that I take care of and they’re part of the family.
These videos helps out considerably! Thank you very much Zack.

I see some negative comments, but I find this series comforting to watch. It's cool to see trainers that show videos of them conquering a reactive/untrained dog in seconds, but this video is VERY relatable for us non-dog trainers. It seems to be a series where people can actually see what is possible and that it is doable even by us with constant training.

@t.s.7601 I know! He puts a muzzle on her to make it appear "untrained" and pulls and leans back to make her pull. And don't hold your breath on him training, let alone approaching, a reactive dog. It would sense his fear and insecurities and maul him. He doesn't train any dogs. He has no customers. None whatsoever. Obviously he borrowed Moira for this fake clickbait series. It boggles my mind that he ended up with so many subscribers. They definitely aren't real customers with testimonies. My dad never trained our dog at our other house, so when I went there, he was the same as Moira - a very big ball of energy with no boundaries. I just started to train him now, and it's extremely tiring to do so, especially when he has grown a year old and can't match up to his strength AND I never had a dog, he was my first.

This is THE greatest dog training series on CZcams. Thank you for showing an example of training from the bottom up. I am feeling so much more confident and aware of what I can do to help my dog learn our desired behaviours. As a first time dog owner with a 7 month old chihuahua male I was feeling really overwhelmed, but watching this series has taught me so much. It’s incredible to see a trainer work so in-depth with a dog that exhibits the same behaviour as mine (biting playfully, barking at other dogs, pulling, the excitement and lack of attention on me, and jumping on furniture to name a few. You’re truly the best!!!
If anyone can, I totally recommend donating to this man so he can continue to provide this education to dog owners for free.
I would love to see another series in the same long video multiple video format!!!

I am so impressed, Zak, by your attitude! You are an optimist and you give so much thought and love to the dog, even though this first time is super difficult. It takes so much time, discipline, love, consistency, and PATIENCE! This video is so much more real than many dog training videos, which I've seen many of....And very helpful for many people having new dogs, and imagine those people being first time dog owners?! I've had dogs my whole life, and have just adopted a beautiful Husky mix which was in a kill shelter in Texas, and she made it all the way to Maine, so she is one lucky dog, and so am I....but first of all, she came to me with Heartworm, so we're now just getting a handle on that, and now, she can have more exercise, and what a puller on the leash. So, it just takes work/patience, and physical strength every day going out with her on a walk...Without my previous knowledge with other dogs, I would have been much more fearful and pessimistic....but we are truly making headway! I have had her now for six months and she is such a great girl! I just don't want to disappoint her, because her training with me is everything, and it takes a huge dedication....we can do it!

I learned to not be embarassed of my dog's behavior even when people tells me something about the reactivity of my dog. The most important thing to me is my dog and improve his behavior, who cares about them. They probably just had easy dog, they don't know what it takes to train a reactive dog. It's hard and frustrating, but the most important thing is my dog, i don't care if people tells me that my dog is a bad dog or that I'm a bad owner, because I know it's not true. I used to have anxiety to walk my dog because of the people judging me and my dog. There's so many people that would have give away a reactive dog, and those people are probably the people that look at u weird when your dog bark it's head off. Don't be ashamed of your work, people don't know.

I am so very happy to see this video. I have an approximate one year old GSD rescue that is a carbon copy of your dog. And am feeling very overwhelmed right now. I am 65 year woman and really having a hard time staying on my feet when this dog goes into prey attack mode, which is all the time.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WENT THROUGH WITH MY RESCUE DOG 😬 I have cried numerous times after walks and almost gave up and gave him away. THIS IS REAL LIFE. Thanks for sharing this, so many of us get way in over our heads with some dogs and they just need time... lots of time and consistency.

14:56 You have no idea how much I love the fact that youre not using prone/ecollar/chokers/slip collar and all the other device that uses force. but more so that you genuinely want to create genuine bond and understanding through verbal communication and body language/signs rather than through devices. Thank you for being so patient with dogs. I don't know any other trainers that preach that.

i love that every single duck is just hanging out. not a care in the world about the dog stalking them haha

this is probably one of the best jobs in the entire world, getting to meet dogs every few weeks, including puppies at times, just amazing

4:57 is so halarious. When the foster mom leaves, Moria sits down but Zak drags her without noticing

Really excited for the rest of the series! We adopted an 11month old Staffordshire Cross 2 weeks ago and have 90% of the same issues. He is a really sweet boy but gets super excited and jumps on everything and everyone. This is going to help us a lot.

I would love to see a series where you work with a puppy adopted during quarantine that has anxiety/little socialization!

My yorkie was a Christmas pup and I'm so nervous for when I go back to school in august! I'm trying to train her to be less anxious and fully be potty trained but man, is it hard. This would help so many people

This means a lot to me- I own a shelter dog - got him at three - every trainer told us he couldn’t be taught much or couldn’t be trained at all - and me and my family trained him independently in the end. Ps. He’s the bestest boy❤️

I'm so thankful you chose a German Shepherd for this series! My husband and I have a 1 year old German. We have done a lot of training with her already but we still have a few of the same issues.

Thank you so much for finally working with a dog like this.I feel a little more encouraged that I will have good training info to train a adult shelter dog. Some of my fear is subsiding.

I love ❤️ this, I have a 4 yr old Gerberian Shepsky and he was very difficult to train. He is extremely smart yet lacks the skill to calm down. This helped a lot.

Im going to try to adopt a shelter dog this Monday. She's not anywhere near as rambunctious as this girl, but she's an older dog that I don't know very well, and she's my first dog! I'm preparing for the worst even though she's the calmest most shy dog there, haha. She's a standard poodle, wish me luck that I get her!

How’s it going ?! I have adopted adult dogs but they were pretty basically good to start . The worst was the “new home “ diarrhea they would always get .

@@teasmish I have had two successful Adoptions and two fails where I had to return the dog within the week to the rescue and then cry my eyes out … now that husband and I are older I am going to try to foster two young untrained puppy mill collies and I am soooooo scared . But I want to help them get to a point of being adopted 🙏🙏
