It’s certainly an obsession for topiary design, even though I prefer growing vegetables and plan for the year ahead, it’s very impressive and the smell of the garden is certainly a key feature 👍

Thanks from Blue Mountains NSW Australian summer. Luckily here it has been regularly raining. Soo. Goood for the garden . I am especially pleased with my 12 yr old inground fuschia (7 foot tall) is spectacually flowering. I enjoy watching the small honeyeaters (birds) drinking the nectar upside down. You are a treasure Monty. Love to you and yours.❤😊

As roses go, I’m more familiar with blackberries, I’ve twined mine around a bamboo loop, you get used to the thorns, so an alternative is raspberries as they aren’t thorny, once you’ve worked with your plants, it soon becomes very familiar and you’ll notice the more lush and green the leaves are 👍

I’ve planted out three conifers and trimmed them low, as my gardening area is a bit tight, I’m generally a sucker for my plants, so they’ve been a nice addition, once they’re established, it’s just trimming back and watching them flourish, just don’t let them grow to be any bigger, if your garden space is limited 😁👍
I dug down about a third to separate them from the clay soil 👍
