It’s great I found your video. Thank you for the tip because my Droseras are starting to grow their flower stem and I already have about 20 Sundews that sprouted in the baby pot.
Just got my first sundew ☺️ I had a cactus that seemed to be infested with all these little flies... Not any more! I believe there are some flower stems, I thought they were new leaves forming, I will have a good look in the morning. I have a capensis but there seems to be a large one then a few small ones in the pot. So not sure if I need to re pot the small ones. Will be watching.more videos to learn 😁😁
My drosera spatulata is growing a pink stalk. I think it's going to be a flower stalk. The plant was blooming when I got it but I made the mistake of cutting them off thinking they were going to hurt the plant while it acclimated to my home. I've had it since April and it has doubled in size. It is sitting in the middle of my edible container garden so it can feed off of the fungus gnats. It has gotten very tall. Are there any other types of stalks drosera grow other than flower stalks? This one is so bright it's almost fuchsia in color.
Hi I have my first sundew plant and it has a flower stalk and the flower buds keep shriveling before they open up. Any tips? Otherwise plant is healthy
my Drosera Capensis is growing very different looking leaf and I think it might be a flower. I've been watching this tiny thing for a month now and i'm sitting here with bated breath waiting for it to bloom
I had a flower stalk on my sundew last month and I cut it because I thought plant will die after flowering but after doing some research I came to know I just need to keep feeding the plant and it will be ok
My sundew is also flowering (with a REALLY long stem) and I am interested in propagating after it flowers, but I’m worried the stem is affecting the plant’s health because the leaves seem dry and brownish. What should I do?
How long does it take for the seeds to mature once you start seeing the peddles on the flowers? My sundew seems pretty healthy but the flowers seem to be at a standstill and aren’t spouting open.. I can see peddles on them all but the flowers aren’t opening for some reason it’s been like this for like a month and a half..
Hi! Mine are also taking a little while... According to growsundews.com, it takes 1-3 months for the seeds to be ready :) so, we might need to wait a bit longer 🌱 Thanks for watching!

My sundew grew three flower stems at once. Two of them have finished flowering and I cut them off and one of them is still flowering

Awesome. Glad it helped !
I love your videos. You’re a great teacher.
I hear the flower stalks make for excellent propagation also
You should be called the mother of carnivorous plants lol. Every video is amazing

Mine are starting to flower. What’s the best thing to do when it finishes flowering? I think it is drosera capensis.
They will self pollinate and you can collect seeds. Got video on that how to take them out and sow them

Yea. Not as dramatic as venus fly traps 😄
Can you cross pollinate a D. capensis and a D. capillaris?
Hello😊my sundew is going brown on the tips😢
Hi thanks for the video
If I cut the flower stalk off before it flowers am i able to propagate from the stalk? Similar to fly traps.
Thanks
Yes, the process is very similar to VFTs. I might try that too!
My Sun Dew is flowering!
I just got a Drosera natalensis and want to be able to keep it alive
Question: can this plant propagate a different way? Like venus fly traps do?
It can be propagated by Leaf cuttings, divisions or seedlings
Nice video! What kind of grow light do you use for your sundews? Thank you!
Thank you! Here is a list of the product I recommend, including lights: venusflytrapworld.com/recommended-products-carnivorous-plants

Cut off the dead leaves, make sure you're using low ppm water, like distilled, and its sitting in water
Hi there I have a question about fungus gnats can they lay eggs in acid soil where the venus plants grow I mean how to stop them actauly
Hi! I haven't personally had this issue, but according to the Savage Garden book: Summit Chemical Mosquito Bits will do the trick.
@VenusFlyTrapWorld Lol you're so cute 😇. Love the Video's very interesting and informative.
Ty! Glad you liked the videos 🌱
