    My sundew grew three flower stems at once. Two of them have finished flowering and I cut them off and one of them is still flowering

    Just got my first sundew ☺️
    I had a cactus that seemed to be infested with all these little flies... Not any more!
    I believe there are some flower stems, I thought they were new leaves forming, I will have a good look in the morning.
    I have a capensis but there seems to be a large one then a few small ones in the pot. So not sure if I need to re pot the small ones.
    Will be watching.more videos to learn 😁😁

    My drosera spatulata is growing a pink stalk. I think it's going to be a flower stalk. The plant was blooming when I got it but I made the mistake of cutting them off thinking they were going to hurt the plant while it acclimated to my home. I've had it since April and it has doubled in size. It is sitting in the middle of my edible container garden so it can feed off of the fungus gnats. It has gotten very tall. Are there any other types of stalks drosera grow other than flower stalks? This one is so bright it's almost fuchsia in color.

    My sundew is also flowering (with a REALLY long stem) and I am interested in propagating after it flowers, but I’m worried the stem is affecting the plant’s health because the leaves seem dry and brownish. What should I do?

      Cut off the dead leaves, make sure you're using low ppm water, like distilled, and its sitting in water

    How long does it take for the seeds to mature once you start seeing the peddles on the flowers? My sundew seems pretty healthy but the flowers seem to be at a standstill and aren’t spouting open.. I can see peddles on them all but the flowers aren’t opening for some reason it’s been like this for like a month and a half..

    • @venusflytrapworld
      @venusflytrapworld  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi! Mine are also taking a little while... According to growsundews.com, it takes 1-3 months for the seeds to be ready :) so, we might need to wait a bit longer 🌱
