- How does Water, Fire, Earth and Air shape the Tarot? Continuing on from my part 1 video, here I look a little deeper into the mystery of the elements and Tarot. The elements are the foundation of the Minor Arcana and help give specific meaning to each of the Suits. As you discover your connection with the Tarot I encourage you to explore and create a personal connection with each of the elements and suits. You may also find it useful to reflect on the corresponding Astrology sign for each element. Refer to my part 1 video for more explanation.
There are four classic elements earth, fire, water and air - each with its own energy and symbolic essence. The water element- Suit of Cups - is fluid, flowing, emotions, intuition, love, feelings, relationships, connections, compassion, kindness, empathy and so forth. The Fire element - Suit of Wands - is unpredictable, passionate, energetic, strength, enthusiasm, sexuality, will power, drive, go-getter attitude, competition, ego personal energy and so forth. The Earth element - Suit of Pentacles - is tactile, tangible, manifestation, grounded, stable, fertility, finances, work, physical wellbeing, career, everything of this physical existence. The Air element - Suit of Swords - is movement, power, the unseen, the intangible, think about the wind and its power its importance in life. Air how we breathe, we speak, we communicate, our mind, our mental activity, our perceptions, judgement, guilt, anger, verbal, thoughts, attitude, beliefs, and so forth.

My "Wand" is my paint brush. It is no surprise to me that my Mercury & Mars is in Leo and in the 3rd House (The House Of Communication). Astrology, Numerology, Kabballah and Tarot continues to fascinate me time and time again.

The one word you didn't use to describe wands is "passion" which is the first word that comes to my mind. Doesn't have anything to do with logic (swords), but just that desire to do it, whether you're successful at it or not. A lot of people want to paint (desire), yet not all are good painters. Does that mean they shouldn't bc it's a waste of time? Absolutely not, bc it is their passion.
Also, the mixing of elements, air fuels fire. So if those two elements align, chances are in my example the person will be a good painter, maybe even a profitable painter (uh-oh, now we're adding pentacles into the mix).
I don't know if I clarified or confused. It's difficult to explain. That's why I like your channel. You deal more with the emotions behind the catds instead of just rambling off a thousand different meanings. You explain it on a deeper level where each person will take away their own impressions about the tarot. Bravo! And keep up the good work.
Oh really not sure how i missed saying passion for yes definately wands energy is passion, vibrance, drive etc etc. Its the challenge of doing quick videos something you intend to say, specific words often get missed 😊 especially with Mars and Mercury retrograde at the time. Oh and speaking of Mars energy so Wands. I agree swords are logic, like all mental processes and Yes the elements all mix uniquely to each of us.
