So guys the strumming is ↓↓ ↑↓↑ but on D minor and A minor its the normal strumming with adding another ↓↑↓↑ so it looks like this ↓↓ ↑↓↑↓↑↓↑ but with moving pinky and index fingers , the added part first ↑ pinky is on and ↓ pinky is off and index finger ↓ off and ↑ on . then you move to A minor. ↓↓ ↑↓↑(↓on)(↑off)(↓off)(↑on)

Also have you ever thought of playing the song all the way through after you teach them in lessons? That way we could play along and make sure we got the cords correct and we play each riff the right amount of times!! Other than that you're awesome man!!

At first i starded with chords, 4 basic chords and bam, my first rythm, and first played song since i started, couple months maybe a year in i tried to play this song and it was so damn hard, and i gaved up and moved on to el. guitar and other songs.... and i learned and played guitar as my hoby for next few years and never aggain ivee tryed to play kickapoo... and now, 12 years later, im here aggain and i PLAY IT DAMN PERFECTLY! Boy, the life is moving so damn fast. Cheers and thanks to be my motivation in some way!
use the technique Hendrix used and place you thumb on the the top bass note in the bar chord. it relieves stress from your thumb and opens up your fingers for improvisations out of the notes in the chord.
@Emofishproductions09 okay you wanna try to use your index finger to mute those strings. so you fret the note you want for your power chord anjust lay your finger over the rest of the strings to stop the vibration. but also try not to press down hard enough to make a bar. this is what works for me.

@skatefeak2122 no u dont need a accoustic amp, u can if u want to waste ur money, but i have a accoustic electric and i use it on my raven amp it it works fine :-) hope you found this helpful in anyway

Like I learnt to play classical gas after id been playing for only 3 months, and before I knew what most chords where. And I still only know basic ones.
This is a really awesome tutorial but I'm having trouble with the tempo of the intro part. I get the 1-2, 1-2-3, 1-2 1-2-3 circuit but when you're doing the little "embellishing" as you call it the strumming is more like 1-2, 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 with 7 8 as upstrokes?.. I think. It would really have helped to go through the strum pattern slower!
