It was a bummer for sure! I didn’t mention it in the vide, but I’ve caught this exact fish before, when it was 100% healthy. Has a one of a kind split lower jaw! I’m going to make some form of a video about it. Not sure how i want to approach it.
Wow! What a monster haul for you. I watched both parts. Extraordinary evening for you. I'm on vacation here in Main for 5 weeks. I am going to try to catch a few pike while I'm here. Might also head north and target Musky for a day. But I'm REALLY here for a few great Smallmouth. Thanks for sharing the video. Tight lines.

I've always wanted to catch a pike!! Well done!
Man that was a phenomenal evening of Pike fishing. One of my goals is to catch a 40+” Northern from my kayak. Not many places in NH to do that so will probably have to travel. Have had good luck from my boat on Lake Champlain in VT but not from my Yak. Retiring at the end of the week and may have to make a trip up to Maine this summer. Will need to do some research to see where to start but have a few ideas.
