Fun story:
TLDR: Befriended a girl, found out same day she threw a chair at a substitute teacher.
At my middle school there was a field trip on my birthday, if you volunteered to help with special needs kids. You got paired with a kid, and honestly they were so much fun, I had the time of my lif with them. I thought they were great. The next day I learn that when we got back from the trip, she had a substitute teacher in health (PE) that cursed her out, so she threw a chair at her. Saw the video, was totally deserved, and she didn't even get in that much trouble. To be fair though my middle school has a **lot** of incidents. Like in the morning before the field trip, we watched someone get taken away in a stretcher from the windows. Plus two days later some kid knocked themselves out on volleyball pole net had to go to the hospital.
Writing this out I now realize how that the level ambulance and firetruck and overall chaos that came to my middle school was probably not normal.
"Because I said so" is not reasonable enough...
