LYRICS
She whispers sweet bullshit in my ear
Familiar, what I always want to hear
But it didn’t take long for my old regrets to be back on deck, cover up my attention
Fat chance that I’ll pay my debt with my mistakes
Give me a break
Is there even anybody left for me to trust
For God damn sake
Cauterize the hole inside my chest
And burn my flesh
The smell of honesty, decency,
Lingers in the air until gone
I’m not the one
I’m not the one who’s holding on
I’m not the one who’s holding on
Our agony
Is a distant memory
September
Can’t wait ‘til your here
Deliver all my deepest fears
No, it didn’t take long for my old regrets to be back on deck cover up my attention
No chance that I’ll pay my debt with my mistakes
Tapping into all the emotions I forgot to feel all year
Can’t recall the smell of the ocean
I need something real,
Something real
You get bored with an easy life
Look for anything to make it right
You’re stupid guy
There’s no magic in maintenance
Feel it getting stale? Then go play games in the basement
Spacious
Some people ain’t worth a single tear
More hate more fear
I think we’re better off weird

Ok, instrumentally, this song was the biggest surprise for me. The guitar sound during the verses and the atmosphere it creates is something I never thought I would hear on a dgd song. Vocally it's also impressive.
I love that they can be so fluid with their style occasionally, like on Calamiento Global or Into the Sunset (I probably spelled that wrong lol). Now we need a 50s doo-wop style song
Sergio Medina of Royal Coda wrote the second guitar on this track, he said on his Instagram story
They're most clean comprehensive song on this album I would say it's not my favorite but it's the best representation of what they do and the style that they bring to the music world
That's because it's Sergio Medina! I love his playing! He is in Royal Coda and used to be in Sianvar and Stolas when those bands were active. (Sianvar come back pls)
Literally every song they have released off this album has been incredible. Tim left us an incredible contribution to his legacy with this album. Amazing.
One of the few albums from any band where I literally loved every single song!
R.i.p Tim thank you we love it I'll cherish it and so will my kids
That killswitch guitar part at 2:09 is an entire vibe I highly fuck with.
2:09 got me like 🤖💃🕺
Love the 2000s pop punk/pop rock vibe
The entire song, 2:09 and the ending with Andrew is so fucking beautiful. THANK YOUU
The guitar in this one gives me that summer beach vibes.
I love these instrumentals so much
Not to mention vocals. This song might be my favorite of the album.
I’m just so glad to see you guys put this out, I know Tim’s proud somewhere
Caught a tear just now, wasn't expecting the Tim mention to finish the comment and it was beautiful
Can you explain pls? I dont understand and this is prob my favourite song from this album
@w0ngky
Their bassist Tim died shortly before the release of this album
This one is the biggest surprise. Really loving everything about it
When they release the instrumentals it's going to be fire
This song, as a whole, is easily one of my favorites on the album. That last minute is something special though. It’s hard for me to describe (‘cause words are hard) but I will loop that shit all day lol.
I love this group so much, and RIP Tim 😔
Matt is illegally not getting enough credits for how good the drums on this song. Holy shit man! You out did yourself multiple times throughout this album!
dude cream of the crop, synergy, one manes cringe. gotta be his best work
just came here to mention that the eggplant at 3:07 lines up almost perfectly with that kick pattern and I love it
edit: (Or possibly plum)
@@RingsofCaturn lmao 🤣 omg never noticed that! Thank you!!!!
Great rock vibes from the 2000s times! R.I.P Tim Feerick
Best song on the album with Swallowed By Eternity, i'm loving this so much
This, Have a Great Life, and Cream of the Crop are the best songs on this albu,. Amazing melodies and instrumentation.
I can't stop listening to this song.
2:08-2:34 Soooooo good😫
It really is. For some reason I didn't get chills on my first listen, but when I clicked on your timestamp I did. Wonder why
Damn I'm not even there yet and I'm groovin
This album came out right on time. Most of the album has a summer vibe imo. So fkn good!
This whole album definitely kicks ass as usual, seriously gonna miss Tim.
I love how different this song is.
absolute banger. really outdone themselves with this one.
Woah. might be my favorite DGD song ever. That was a surprise.
The whole album is incredible WOW
It’s probably my favorite overall
Man there is something so captivating about the outdo to this song I almost got a bit choked up and I’m not even sure why lol 😂
It's cause Andrew and Tillians voices together makes fir a beautiful piece of art w/the instrumentals
Wow, great track. My favorite on the album so far.
Probably one of my favorites from the Juicer album this shit hits!

Did you know youre a hero? thanks
Acabo de conocer a esta banda y ya los amo, este es uno de mis favoritos hasta el momento
Cada disco que tienen es una joya. Encontraste oro.
The chorus is actually so good though
Frrr!!! they outdid themselves w this one. should have been one of the lead singles imo
This song speaks to my soul, god damn so good
The part starting at 2:09 👌
Headrush this part
100%
Gave my stomach the butterflies .
A clear favourite right out of the gate
THAT GUITAR TONE OMFG
ok I know people like this band because they a lot of positive and vibey songs (which I also enjoy!) but melancholic dgd is best imo!
Holy shit, need more of this
This song has everything a DGD fan can ever ask for!
This song has been on repeat since release.
For me the chorus is so catchy but from 2:35 is the best part of the song, even causes me to get frisson/goosebumps often
This album is crazy
this guys really make me happy I discovered them
Okay is it just me or does anyone else hear a total Tides Of Man type of sound on certain parts of this song like from when Tilian was in that band? Really unique sound on this track, and I love the whole album
I do. Last nite i thought the same. Same way as Faint desilution.
Does this song make y’all feel like you’re on the water?
it reminded me of the first spongebob movie lmao
@@rocksolid1114 lmao
I love these guys
The outro to this…fucking fire
so is the intro! best song
All there voices mesh to together so well
one of my favorite songs
Easily my favorite. As/ig vibes, like a squeal to Awkward or something
yeah the chorus breakdown does remind me of Awkward!
If you like the beginning of this song, then you would definitely like Bad Suns
I know it literally just dropped but it’s so weird seeing a DGD song with under 100 views lol
SEPTEMBER IS FINALLY HERE, IT HAS COME FULL CIRCLE
Hands down the best song in the album🤘🏻
god i love guitar in this song. Creates such a unique atmosphere i dont even know how to explain it
Definitely what I was missing from dgd 🥰🥰
Best album song
Every track is gold. 🍒🍓🍇🫐🍉
Certified slapper!
Te quiero mucho Tim
Amazing. Some of the instrumentals remind me of Baroness, especially the song March To The Sea. And clearly a Foo Fighters "Everlong" sequence. Even heard a slight Nirvana vibe in one part. Idk, maybe I'm just too high. Love this album and this track, definitely something different.
Perfect references lol
I'm glad someone else hears it lol.
True, it starts off sounding like Everlong.
The guitar parts during tilians verses reminds me of the wario Gameboy advance game themes when he would turn into a bat.
I don't know which is my favorite one yet but this is on my top 3
oh this one goes crazy
😍 I like this song
my fav of the album
Favorite off the album thank you 💘
🕺The smell of honesty, decency, lingers in the air until it's gone 🎵
Love the vibes in this album 🍐
2:34
Sick track
Hopeful to hear this at Philly
I'm hoping for Burning Down the Nicotine Armoire with Travis. I've seen DGD 6 or 7 times now and have never seen them do that track.
Amooo❤
here one of the first when it blows up
I think we’re better off weird
Also love that guitar in the verses!
Can’t wait to see DGD back on deck. 😂
🍓
Calling it now, this is gonna be a John Howe robot video
letttsss gggoooooo
I need something real....
I miss you Alexandra
The guitar in the right channel in the beginning sounds like you're playing a record on a turntable with a stupid amount of wow & flutter
Can't recall the smell of the Sphincter
Does anyone else hear "Goodbye horses"?
That's what I heard ever since my first listen, definitely it's spiritual successor
“Some people aren’t worth a single tear
More hate more fear
I think we’re better off QUEER!”
*missed opportunity 😂
I mean queer and weird are the same thing, traditionally speaking.
@@chonch_burger my point exactly. 😂
Me and Ali song god I want to play this song again with her
I was so stuck on Jonny that until artificial intelligence tillian compliments in a whole new way
wtf ❤❤
It says favorite fears in the song but deepest fears in the lyrics.
Ohhhhhh fuck this hits 🙏🏻🍊
🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Why does this video remind me of that once big scene in Sausage Party so much
Reminds me of my ex💔😔
Yo fuc that ex dog "there's no magic in maintenance"
My favorite part is how the fruit is naked in the casino but has swimwear on in the pool 😅
3rd maybe
Might wanna check the lyrics
There's no way the sound wasn't influenced by kill Hannah- snowblinded

Tillian has run his course w me ultimately
name
Sounds like tillians solo stuff tbh
It reminds me of when he was in tides of man, their dream house album. I think he may have influenced writing the chorus instrumentals on this one and maybe more
