Lvl50 retire is excessive. I don’t see a point of retiring a hunter anymore. By lvl50 I’ll just continue playing the hunter to get XP until he dies they made it so far. Retire is only for early XP boost so it’s irrelevant now.

Well you get 3000$ for lvl 100 so retiring was pretty good.. Now idk.. I'll still do it at hunter lvl 50 cause it's better than not doing it anyways.. Still pretty bad change
I just use the Lv 50 to farm dark tribute. At lv 50 all the xp you get goes directly to the tribute bar. One or two good games and you can get all 4 easy.
much harder to get the retirement home cheevo now if you dont have it
@@snyyx winning 1 round gives ~5.000 XP. thats the same as retiring a lvl 50 hunter. this makes it a gamble. you have 2 options with 3 results. A) retire and get 5k XP guaranteed B) play and lose so you get at half the earned XP (~1.000 i guess) straight to your bloodline or C) play, win and get 5k XP to your bloodline with the added bonus of being able to do it again.
i myself safe my lvl 50s for when my freinds are online and we can go into trios. this gives me the best chances to make bank.
The melee slot changes is actually crazy

The retirement nerf feels bad, but the rest of the updates look good.
i mean, though you can definitely call it a nerf, it's an interesting way to incentivize people to play out their hunters to the end instead of just perma retiring them at lvl25
@@rockpopjazzit takes at least 3 games to even level your hunter to 50. What are the odds of winning three games in a row?

@@mahockey3 It's supposed to happen sometimes. Its fine to push it to 30 so it would take at least two games to get there. But with needing to max out who would even press the retire button at all? Most players will hardly ever even get there. And few who win games consistently enough might as well keep playing.
It's supposed to be a safe option for the average player. Where did Crytek say it's not supposed to happen often anyway?
@@mahockey3 it'd be more efficient to continue playing your maxed hunter than retire them due to the bonus xp you'd get for playing them outweighs what you'd get by retiring them. So it puts you in a lose/lose.

Indeed. Like they probably aren't even giving you a special incentive to retire at fifty. Like maybe blood bonds or something. So why make the change anyway? I guess they want to make the obnoxious prestige grind even more of a grind?
@@robosoldier11Well in the last patch they made the prestige a bit too easy so maybe they did this as some sort of last minute nerf before they'll rework the prestige system.

The retirement nerf only makes sense if they buffed the amount of xp. I feel newer players trying to prestige will suffer

yep i also thing cyclone is good as it is. every time i play it i win mutlible games in a row. make it cheaper and make it the way it is now and more people will play it. its just the price tag that keeps people away from it
@@leeham6230 yet i dont see it very often. crytek has all the data and buffs/nerfs weapons based on the usage. so i guess the cyclone doesnt get picked often
@@flobb91There's simply better options out there. Medium ammo is super inconsistent and easily outperformed by long ammo by damage or compact ammo by fire rate.

This seems like the best event yet because of the cool traits with seemingly good balance, the extra in-map loot caches, much-needed recruitment-based economy fixes, and most importantly beetle pats. I've been taking a break from Hunt, but I'm most definitely coming back for this event. Can't wait to see you all in the bayou.

Great PVP with snipers, still yet to be seen in the game. This update is bad, the second bad after the june last year.
Idk if I like the katana being a small slot weirdly enough because I liked the balance you had to make with taking another medium slot or needing quartermaster imo

@Rachtaz hey did you by any chance get the criteria for lawful and primal swapped? I saw other CZcamsr ones and it would seem that for Primal is 30 point for 2 pledge marks, and boss kill is 2 pledge mark for lawful.
I double checked and my video is correct.

2 pledge marks for Lawful for 30 EP

Psychoghost said that the lightfoot buff was a nerf (he said that it maid you make the normal crouching sound when you were crouching on/through glass/chains etc, when you normally wouldn't with the trait). But is seems like it just makes you make less noise when you are normal walking, is that right?
The antidote shot thing is something they have done before and reversed. Now with mithridatist around I don't think it will be that big of a deal but who knows.
Correct, when walking over the sound traps it makes crouch audio, so it's a buff.
Gator skin plus silenced/mele weapons hiding in bushes literally invisible ppl are walking pass you or even sometimes they will walk in to you.

Are the spawn locations of the sealed caches random? because I can see some teams getting some stupid advantages by spawning close to them early.

Since there could potentially be 5 bounty tokens on the map can you pick them all up? Can a solo only carry two? Can you extract as a team with 5 bounty tokens ?
It can't exceed the normal amount. It Spawns only when there's 1 boss in game

I really like the sealed caches and everything. Finally players have something else to do other than rushing to compounds and boss sites and fighting and dying.
I love Hunt's world even though the worldview hasn't been fully exploited and we don't see much of it in the game, but giving me a good reason to wander in the maps alone is satisfying enough, even though it is mainly to help with gunfights. I hope Crytek could work towards that direction.
I skipped the last event because I just didn't have time for it and it didn' t seem that different from the last ones.

This one is interesting. I'm not sure I noticed how sounds were inside buildings during heavy rain. I wonder if this means if you're inside a building, it will be harder to hear people who are also inside, or those who are outside? Because, based on this wording, I'm assuming if you're outside during heavy rain, you can't hear sounds from inside that well?

it's only for fully killed player though. I guess it depends on your bracket, but in scrub league I don't have fully dead team mates almost ever.

I do not have knowledge of meta, so this is from a casual, but I feel like if you get quartermaster you want a shotgun. This change will me more people will now bring melee secondaries.
Lower ranks, maybe. They have always been a lower rank weapon. You generally get smashed in higher ranks maining melee, you are far more likely to be shot then knifed as there are better weapons than maining melee.
