Note: The reset codes (7digits) corresponding to a reset of service tank and container of used inks are the same for the 3110 and 7100 printers

Didn't have to change ink collector tank! Just did this procedure and then turned off and turned back on and now back on the ready as mine kept saying replace ink collector and wouldn't do nothing! So this saved my life!! Thanks

Thank You! Iast night I had an order for two mugs but my printer had a message about replacing the ink waste cartridge. I started searching for a replacement but price is high everywhere I searched, also they sell just the chip to "cheat" the capacity it can hold but I came across this Video and You nade my day.. worked as described.
I have the Sawgrass SG800 - also has trouble getting into the Service menu, but because I had the replace in collector unit message.
If you keep holding the up and down buttons for a few seconds and pressing enter then doing it again, it will get into the menu just try various methods.
Once in, I followed the steps and it works a treat. Thanks

I can't get the "Ready" status. There's only the red light and my LCD panel says: "Replace Ink Collector Unit" and "Used Ink collect Unit is set". What can I do?
I'm having the same problem, is there a work around?

I have the sg400. My display said Waste collection unit not set. I tried the15 seconds but it did not work but 5 seconds did. I restarted the printer and the display for the waste tank was empty but then I got the waste collection unit not set again so I reset the waste tank again and got another error message sc (84000) call service if this happens again, Power off on. All set now.

We don't think so, however we have never seen a SG2100N, contact Ricoh or your supplier.

Got into service mode, only had to hold up and down for five seconds on the dnw version.
Is there a way to trick the printer into thinking the color cartridges are full? I only use the printer for black monochrome printing for notary business. It's over $120 every time I change out the color cartridges, and the ink cartridges keep depleting due to auto maintenance.
Not that we know of.
Get a small cheap laser printer!
There is no way to get to what you want. The printer needs ink in all four colour to run proper and for cleaning runs.
if the ink cartridges are expired will it read low ink? redlight is coming on to
Not expired, only dried out or depleted.

When turning on the printer it is stuck on waiting ... And it keeps cycling like it's doing a head clean and doesn't stop .
Keeps sucking the ink .
(Printer Was in storage for a year )

my printer is SG 3110sfnw it's display"Use ink cartridge C M I got help from my friend has the same model , we replaced the two cartridges above from his printer in mine.It is still show the same message. Is it a condition to replace all set? Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to get on the first step but my printer has the red light lid already so it does not go into service mode when I press and hold UP and DOWN arrows...
You can still enter the maintenance menu with an error message on the screen.
Make sure to hold the up and down arrows together for 5 seconds (If you are longer than about 6 seconds or shorter than about 4 seconds it will not work), Then let go and press the enter key. That will get you into the menu.

I was missing the enter button after pressing up and down arrows for 5 seconds to enter service mode.
It would be great to be able to do the same thing to cartridges levels... : )
What does ink depleted mean and used ink cartridge mean? I also have a red light on. I took the cartridge out and shook it and seems to still have ink in it. If you can please respond back I would greatly appreciate your help :-)
Ink is clotting or chip is bad in cart.
