The real hate for CC is that 28 million Nike Deal she got. It has nothing to do with her play on the court. The women of the WNBA are upset they dont make that kind of money on or off the court. Reese is not upset as she had the opportunity to soon with Nike for more money but opted to go with Reebok instead.
So when the women out there are playing against her they are playing against a 28 million dollar woman on the court to their $73,000 a yr salary.
Now doesn’t that add up where the hatred is coming from?

@@malissakpadeh8951I’m likely much older than you, but I very much remember the nastiness from veterans that Larry Bird had to endure in his rookie season. Regardless, the Fever didn’t have the first round draft pick in two consecutive seasons because they were a championship caliber team, genius. The WINNING will come if and when the head coach figures out how to use CC effectively… CC getting only three shooting attempts in the 4th quarter is all on the coach. The Fever had the last game won, which would have been five in a row, but a blown 15-point lead and in the final three minutes having CC inbounding instead of setting her up for an open shot is just horrible coaching.

Reality is coming and its name Caitlin Clark.
If the coach would stop taking her out of the offense, CC would be averaging 20pts a game and closer to 10 assists. What she is doing right now is in spite of her team missing passes and easy layups and the coach taking the ball out of her hands for entire quarters of a game. In a different situation, she would be dominating the WNBA as a rookie.

I’ve gotten a lot of pushback on my theory below, but a majority of WNBA employees and SOME higher level stakeholders (not all) are colluding to deliberately injure her, either physically or mentally.
No one is advising her in this way, but honestly, she should be looking for an exit that meets her existing endorsement deals and contract language. This situation has gotten so out of control, it’s reached a point where Wilson, Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, and Goldman Sachs now need to get involved and exert some real behind the scenes pressure on the WNBA (i.e. financial threats).
I really think she’s at risk of having a career ending injury at this point because of what league employees are doing to her, not discounting the possibility of her experiencing the celebrity PTSD that child TV stars used to get, and in turn, never wanting to play ever again.
WNBA management and the Players Union does not want another “Michael Jordan” telling coaches, GMs and owners, who she wants on the team and what plays to run. Nor do they want a “Wilt Chamberlain” rookie year, who at the time, broke eight NBA records in his first season.
League leadership and the players union are terrified that this kids performance has a possibility of unmasking their poor management of the league. For example, what if the ratings tanked, after signing this huge new media deal, due to some unpredictable action, good or bad, taken by Caitlin (i.e. leaving the USA to play overseas)?
Not only are some of Diana Taurasi’s records at stake, in the long run, what happens if a Rookie beats the 53-points WNBA scoring record? The WNBA and Players Union don’t want any of these things to even be remotely on the table
This paradoxical behavior and language is, in my opinion, the “players union” trying to “put Caitlin in her place” behind the scenes. A lot of the WNBAs top players have mothers, who were NCAA stars before the creation of the WNBA and have jobs in that community. They are protecting their legacies at the expense of the league’s popularity and revenue growth. At the end of her 4 year contract Caitlin should go overseas or quit basketball. All this emotional abuse isn’t worth it.
Why do we keep hearing, the “know your history” statement, which is not a “customer service” focused statement?
I feel like there is a MAJOR consumer choice issue going on here. The WNBA is seemingly telling its customers that they will not, under any circumstances, let fans dictate who is popular and who’s name sells the most product.
She’s so good, even with bullying, both on and off the court, they have to start rigging the outcome. The analytics group has figured out how to make her look bad, and on orders from the top, the coach and GM will sideline her when commanded to do so.
When her WNBA contact is up, she can go to FIBA, get fast tracked for naturalization in whatever county she qualifies, and then play in the Olympics for that country. Young Boomers and Old Gen Xers are trying to “pick winners”, in defiance of the evidence, and trying to tell the market what they are allowed buy.
I stand by my previous statement, the “players union” is trying to “put Caitlin in her place” and are pressuring traditional media outlets, refs, players and GMs to bully her because they have already made “informal promises” to others and she is getting in the way.
Only the sponsors and product manufacturers can reverse this. Otherwise she should plan to go to Europe at the end of her contract because this will not stop until she is injured or too traumatized to perform at a high level.
They are forgetting, she doesn’t have to stay in the USA and once her WNBA contract is up, pending on her endorsement deals, can leave forever. None of these things work the way the WNBA “management class” seems to believe.
Only time will tell, because if she gets seriously injured like Bernard King or has a mental breakdown like Ben Gordon…remember this hypothesis.
I’m also guessing those in doubt have never dealt with unions in legal matters, if you had, you’d see my points are legitimate evidence being put towards a hypothesis. Look up what “grievances” are within the context of a union, where your peer can put you on notice with little supporting evidence. For instance, can anyone in the union file a grievance against Caitlin, as is typical in all other unionized professions?

CC definitely has the court vision. She 'sees' what very few see. Her court awareness is obvious. But, her team mates have to get used to this style of play. This will take time. There needs to be a "time investment" where her team mates may not always be ready to receive these passes. At some point her team mates will be mentally tuned in to CC's passing style, which makes them look good...makes them better players. This is GREAT BASKETBALL. So she’s #2 prospect for All-Star… but shouldn’t be on the Olympic team? It’s CRITICS V. FANS all over again. I thought we didn’t care about the critics?

Jealousy - is the number reason for the hate against CC......over the hill lesbians crying because they are not relevant...but they currently have a MAN in the team...Taurasi made USOT when she was 22 as a rookie, when asked - she said " CC should not selected as a rookie at 22 yrs old...needs to develop more.." the reporter then said "but YOU were 22 when you got selected..." - Taurasi couldn't change the subject quick enough..

Diana thinks only NCAA champions are the best. It's ridiculous. Every top player can't play at the same school it takes a team not just 1 person to win championships she thinks it takes 1 person. Herself lol😅🤣

I’ve never watch a NBA or WNBA. Since CC’s senior year for the Hawkeyes, I’ve checked in occasionally to she her talent. I’m absolutely onboard the CC team now. Seems there’s quite a bit of negativity and racism towards CC. Hope she continues to handle this with her grace and style. You go girl. All the best…❤️👍❤️

Young women in the business world experience these same issues. The older queen b are way more terrible to them than men are. The Queen B wants the attention.
