Hello, yes, of course I'll cover this area in my upcoming video. However, for the moment- there's 2 modes
1st : Regular mode - where the battery lasts 4 days (although I haven't managed 4 days but to be honest I've been extensively using it doing a lot of tests so in my experience the battery life has been excellent)
2nd : Ultra long battery life - this claims to last 21 days, I haven't had the opportunity to put this to test yet.
In the video, I'll show what features work and doesn't work when it's enabled.

The eSim is totally independent from the phone. It's like a mobile device on its own with an eSim, so it should work fine. All the best :)

Yes, as long as it's an eSim, it will work as the watch supports eSim. Mine worked fine.

Hi, thank you for your comment. With regards to WhatsApp messages - on iPhone, you can see the message but no option to reply. Also, you can't view photos either.
On Android phones - you can see and reply to the message from the watch, but you can't view photos.

Are you able to receive calls on your watch? I can only make outgoing calls.
Yes, I just tested again to double-check. I can make and receive calls as well as send and receive text messages. Hope that helps :)
@@familycreate does the caller get your main phone number or watch phone number when they see the call?
The number registred on the eSim shows up on the caller's display. What are you experiencing?
@@familycreate ideally it should display your main mobile phone number not the esim number of watch. When I had Samsung watch 5 Pro with ee, if I called from watch, it would display my main mobile phone number to the recepient not the esim number of watch. The whole point is to have 1 number for both watch and phone. So if someone call you on mobile and if its not with you then you should be able to answer it on watch
Yes, you're right. I also have the same service with EE for my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and my Google Pixel Watch. However, with the Huawei Watch 4 Pro, there are 2 different eSim connectivity options. First is the 1 number option, which uses the phone number from your mobile, but unfortunately, EE (in the UK) doesn't support this option with Huawei Watch.
The second option is that it also supports an independent eSim, which gives you the option to get a totally new connection / second number. I went for this option as my network didn't support the first option. It's great that Huawei Watch 4 Pro offers the independent Sim option as this can be used as a priority line.

I’ve ordered this watch and done the lyca sim and it only does the sms. Won’t ring out or ring in.
Where can i get the esim from ?? Is it just a standard pay as you go esim
If it's an independent Sim, any network provider that supports eSim will work. My one is an independent pay as you go eSim. Hope that helps :)
if you do NOT install an esim can the watch still take phone calls via bluetooth with your smartphone like the gt3 pro can ?????
Yes, you can receive and make calls via the Bluetooth connection, and it works great.
Is there a setting where you can choose between 3G/4G (so for example it only receives 3G signal) after you enable esim?
It can't be manually changed. On mine, I got 4G, but in poor reception areas, it dropped to 3G.

@@familycreate I suppose you can't make any calls while in 4G? but you can use data and sms? because in the video it says in the menu VoLTE not registered. Can you please check the settings button above "LycaMobile" at 7:58 for 3G only option?

Yeah, I think only Vodafone supports the one sim 2 devices option on Huawei Watch 4 Pro. It's weired though, as I am able to get the same service from EE for my Pixel Watch.

If you set up the eSim with one number (the same number that you use on you mobile phone) then you will only see that however if you set up a separate stand alone eSim just for the watch then you will see that stand alone eSim number under eSim management. I hope this helps. All the best.
Hello. Could you please try to call, or sms when your watch gets 4G signal? I saw on video that you get 3G signal. There is a chance that it won't work. Could you please check? I want to buy this watch, its really expensive and I'm afraid that it might not work in my country because network providers only support apple watches and samsung and also no VOLTE support
Hi there, sadly we had to return the watch as the screen developed a fault. But to answer your question, while I had the watch, I was able to make calls, and it was always connecting on 4G. In regards to the 3G on the video, that is due to poor reception in the room that I was filming. As for your country network support, it's something you have to factor in your decision as here in the UK I also faced similar issues as my own network would not support it. Also, app developers are not engaging with Huawei's platform as much, and this means the limited apps there in the store are not receiving updates as one would expect. I hope this helps.

This is very disappointing because it's a really expensive watch and I feel like I will not be able to return it once I buy it, if it's faulty. maybe I should go with samsung GW5Pro, or GW6 44mm, which one would you recommend? all i think is the battery. If google assistant is disabled and aod is off, can GW6 reach 3 days standby?

Please check under the device tab at the bottom. It should be listed under there and make sure the device is connected. All the best.

Have you checked all the eSim settings? Perhaps reset your watch, and if it still makes no difference, contact Lycamobile customer service. All the best.

Think it is 3g being switched off so then you have 4g in its place and for calls outbound and inbound you need volte and don't think any networks are letting volte settings be enabled other than Vodafone by the look of it could be wrong. I put on esim with ee data worked but no calls and said volt not registered so think that is the issue

I purposely bought this to use the esim function on another number to use when at work. Waste of money ??. Your thoughts ?, thanks. It's supported 5 G network
Unfortunately, Huawei doesn't support 5G, but with my esim, I get 4G connection
Mniej awaryjne są 3 Pro Miałem 3 lata. Kupiłem 4 Pro z uszkodzonym e-simem od T-mobile i nowiutki zegarek jest w serwisie Huawei . Jestem na maksi wk... bo zegarek powinien być wymieniony. Jak przełączałem na e-sim wszystko poprawnie się wyświetlało mogłem dzwonić, ale nie otrzymywałem połączeń przychodzących. Po "blutuch" działał prawidłowo. To, że 3 pro są technicznie lepsze, to słowa serwisanta z autoryzowanego serwisu Huawei, tam gdzie oddałem zegarek. Radził bym wszystkim posiadaczom czwórki dokładnie sprawdzić e-sim. Mi się przez trzy dni wydawało, że jest wszystko w porządku, bo było na wyświetlaczu w ustawieniach ze e-sim jest poprawnie połączone do czasu jak zadzwonił telefon, a zegarek milczał. E-sim to jest inny numer na urządzeniu ubieralnym, a multi sim dzielenie tego samego numeru na urządzenie ubieralne
