- Hey Beatle Friends! Inspired by MeanMrMayo (Though he was originally inspired by user LennonFanatic to make the video), I thought I show a nice little collection of Rare Beatles CDs. These will be Bootlegs which contain a lot of the material never officially released by Apple. Hope you enjoy this quick CD showing video.
I just rewatched this video for the first time since posting it and noticed I didn’t pronounce Esher properly. I don’t know how the hell that happened. The actual pronunciation is Ee-sher. I pronounced it properly in my White Album 50th Anniversary Unboxing Video which was posted almost two years after this video.
As most of us know, there are many great audio bootlegs that have not been released and will never come out and I am one of many of those fortunate beholders, but in my opinion, the multitracks from The Beatles Rockband plus and all the Guitar Hero releases are the Holy Grail of music, basically because you become the engineer of each song so that you can adjust track volume, pan, mute and add effects to each of the 10 tracks to your liking and/or just have fun with...just saying :)

All through the 80s and 90s I spent weekends in San Francisco and Berkeley seeking out and collecting Beatle bootleg albums. Somewhere I learned that the code word for bootlegs was to ask if they had any "import" albums. They weren't easy to find. There were underground bootleg catalogues that listed all the know albums. I had a collection of about twelve that later disappeared when my storage got ripped off along with several Beatle picture discs..

Hi Marv. Wow, it's amazing how many different types of booted CDs are out there. I don't know why I haven't stepped up and acquired a lot more of them, but I'm thinking I have mostly everything. Still, stuff like the HELP! alternate sessions seem interesting... but I'm not really that big on "alternate mixes", I like different vocal takes. Are a lot of those "Help" outtakes just different music-only backing tracks, or are there actually many different vocal takes? ... Yeah, "A Toot and A Snore" is terrible, but it's historically important. .. I agree, the Swedish 1963 show MUST be officially released! .. Always great to see anything you post, Marv.. and this CD entry was a lot of fun. Looking forward to all sorts of other "Beatley" things!
MeanMr Mayo Hi Joe! Was expecting to read from you right away! Lol! The Help! Outtakes are mostly Band takes. But I think around Take 10, they record their vocal takes over the final backing track which is the master take. I love vocal takes as much as I love alternate mixes. On my White Album alternates, there's a mono version of "Sexy Sadie" which goes on longer than the version on the White Album. There's an instrumental break at the end that was edited out from the final mix. Yeah there's a lot of bootlegs out there that exists but I think Purple Chick is the best way to get everything all at once. Glad you enjoy seeing the bootleg CDs Joe! Take care!
I have heard Purple Chick is a good source. But I also know a guy called FAB who has everything.

Very interesting collection. I have the fake Capitol Records Hollywood Bowl C.D.s W-A-A-A-Y too many Decca audition C.D.s I also have all seven Unsurpassed Masters C.D.s I also have the Acetate C.D. There were actually TWO different ones. Both were put out by Yellow Dog. I have the one you showed, but they also put out an extended one that was a two disc set.
I haven't been to The Fest in Chicago for over a decade, but I might go this year. I used to go to it back when it was still Beatles-Fest. Keep collecting. There are a lot of undiscovered gems out there.

Great collection Marv, I think I only have two of those! The Ultimate Live at the end looks really good as I have heard The Sam Houston concerts and they are among my favorites. John sings most of the songs and is losing his voice terribly. But they don't change the set list for the second show, and it just gets worse. I love stuff like that. Stellar collection. take care...

Great video Marv. I have a Beatles CD called Non Album singles which is pretty neat. Front cover has pic of the Beatles in cartoon psychedelic Submarine era!

On the first CD you showed which said it was a 2 CD set---Try lifting the internal cover to see if there is a CD hidden behind it. I had the same problem with a boot I ordered, and was surprised to discover another CD behind the inside "shell". (I don't think anyone uses this type of cover anymore).

Did you know prior to 1976 you could bootleg a concert in The United States and get away with it?I saw a Beatles concert on video and there were people in the audiences with tape recorders who taped the show.

I have bought some of the bootlegs displayed. I have a copy of the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl. Have all the Beatles at the BEEB. Have the Beatles concert in Paris. And others. These were bought long time ago. Not sure if any of them can be found now. If found, probably charging an arm and leg.

I’d say the best place to find bootlegs online is on eBay. In real life, I’d suggest looking for Bootlegs at Record shows in your area. Thank you for watching

I picked up a copy of Yellow Submarine on Azir records, I guess they are a Russian company that loves making bootleg Beatles and Rolling Stones CDs lol, I paid 2 dollars for it.
I was hoping to see something new. Apparently I have the Beatles bootleg collection you would die for. Starting with John Lennon and the Quarrymen at ST PETER'S CHURCH, WOOLTON, JULY 6, 1957, then over 2 hours of music by all 5 of the original Beatles in Hamburg from 1960 (Not the Star Club Show) Home recordings at Paul's house from the late 1950's, The Beatles with Tony Sheridan 1961, Many live shows from 1962 & 1963 Including video and even more from 1964-1966. I have the touring years very well documented. I also have studio session demos and outtakes of every album from Rubber Soul to Abbey Road and more than one collection for each album. I have every single song the Beatle recorded during the 'Get Back Sessions' in January 1969. Having said all this, this is only the tip of the the iceberg of my Beatles collection. I could go on if you wanted me to but it may seem like bragging.
Where do you live?? LOL...... But really...would you ever post them here?....for a fee? I would love to hear the Quarrymen. Actually I would love to hear ALL of it!

Dr. Ebbett's Masters are still available from jagamart dot com No difference in sound quality. Do stay away from the Japan Ebbett's knock offs they offer. They vary in quality. Some are sourced from files and some are of older Ebbett's masters.
