Hey Coach. Good discussion about Coach Vic getting her own bike. Just thought I would pass along a great thing to see the next time you’re heading out West. My wife and I went through Laurel MS this Spring and someone said have you been to Hellfighters? We had no idea what this was all about so off we went. This organization takes people addicted to drugs and gets them off the streets by teaching them how to renovate and rebuild Harleys. This place blew my mind. They have some of the most beautiful custom Harleys you will ever see, and at reasonable prices. Their mission is quite impressive and their shop is a destination all on its own. Go there if you can. It’s well worth the drive.

I understand Coach Vic's reasons. Get a bike and knowing you have to modify it to ride it stinks. My wife sat on a friend's Ryker and loved it. She has a bad back and can't swing her leg over most seats. His Ryker had no backrest or pillion seat so kind of walked over the rear tire into the seat. But she said she won't want one unless I could ride it if she down her back for a long period of time. Then we are back to the no hand brakes problem.
I hope Coach Vic does what makes her happy. And if that is a Ryker I look forward to seeing the process of making it work for her. Best of luck.

Hi Coach, as far as I'm aware the Ryker doesnt have power steering hence could make slow speed maneuvering hard work for CoachVic. One way to answer the question "can I " & to answer all those other questions could be a set of floor boards & a handle bar brake on your Spyder that way all the questions associated with "can I" can be answered before taking the risk of purchasing another Spyder.That route will also give CoachVic the confidence by slowly building her skills & increasing time spent as pilot & not just pillion. "Just a thought" (p.s. with my spinal issues I'd love that option sadly the only people/family I know with a Spyder are on the other side of the planet, .qed I'm just going to do it, at least I can then answer all those questions stuck in my little gray cells) As always, wishing you both health & happiness.
My comment, Millie got her training on a Ryder, she said it was a difficult machine to handle and would not consider it for purchase,l but that's just her opinion. Millie said she would consider the F3 before the Ryker and the F3 is a monster ride. Millie has decided to ride the pillion for now, she's quite satisfied with that and that's fine with me, no pressure.
This is one of my biggest struggles currently. I am really wanting to drive again. I am nervous because of me flipping my last Suv, but i just feel like my independence has been stolen from me. But because I was hard headed , vain , prideful and 2 proud..so I personally feel this is the way God is showing me that my behavior needed to change! I agree but I really miss driving.

Heck, I'd love to have a hand brake on my Spyder RTL and I don't really need it. I miss the hand brake since I came from 2 wheels. I wish it was an option on a Spyder from the factory.
I chose the Ryker because I also have a DisabilitIy. I feel more Comfortable on the Ryker because it is Lower for me to get on easy. I have the 2021 Ryker 600. Love it first Bike I ever owned.
I believe she doesn't want her own because she likes the closeness of riding with you

My wife is 69 and she has ridden behind me for 30 years, and she says that no matter how many times I offer she would rather just ride behind me. When she is just the passenger she can just relax and not have to watch the road or the traffic. We just bought a Can am Spyder, the trouble is that we've had it 1 day and the shop has had it for 3 weeks. Love your videos. God bless John

I would love to see coach v on her own. My question is with her paralysis how limited is she in using her knees in the turns? As a new spyder rider my knees are the most fatigued part of my body after a ride? I hope there is a solution as I know how much the two of you enjoy riding together. God bless!
She has no lower body usage.. she is a T7 paraplegic. It would be a real challenge for her to ride any real distance. But, if I made some mods she could do it.
Our son-in-law's father passed away this summer. He had a 2017 CanAm RT with the hand brake installed. It is a pretty blue color. Our son-in-law has the bike for sale now and it only has around 2K miles on it. Not sure what the price is on it. We live in southeastern Wisconsin. If you are at all interested I would give you his phone number.
Lot's of folks would like a Ryker hitch, but from what I understand, it would not work. Maybe due to the cvt transmission or lack of a way to attach it.
Whatever you both decide, what's great to see is you're both working together as a team. So to me, it's fun to watch your travels and how you two sort it out. Always enjoy your content.
Coach Coach you got a new Truck and I would get her a Brand New spyder and if she decides she doesn’t feel comfy driving then you can just sell the 19 and you’ll have a new spyder for yourself. Why a ryker unless your staying local if she really likes it then touring will e much harder
Just the handbrake itself runs about $1,500. I thought about that when I was having so much trouble with this right leg. There are always options.
I’ve asked Kathy that question for years and she likes the closeness of us being together on one bike. She did get her license on the Spyder and I would have kept it if she wanted to ride. No advice from me Coach Vic, that’s a personal decision.
Why not get one V ic. I would if I had the money and am handicapped too .

Mid wife crisis - funny thought coach! I was thinking if Coach Vic gets her own Spyder when one of the Spyders needs to go into the shop the other Spyder can be driven home. Good video coach. I see daylight cracking so I am going to get my early morning fix. Hope your day is a blessed one.
Hey Coach, I am purchasing a 22 RT and I would like your opinion on a dealer to service it. Picking it up from Statesboro motor sports but I have heard you talk about the dealer in Bonaire.
Do you have any experience with Statesboro?
I would be awesome to see Coach Vic ride her own ride.
I don't have any experience that far west in GA. I used Byron Motorsports once in middle GA and they were great to deal with. I'd definitely give the local dealer a try and see how they do.. Let me know how this works out. I am going to try to put together a list of "preferred dealers" as ranked by actual riders.

Coach I need your advice I love the Spyder F3 but it cost ($23499) so much and I would get a Ryker 600 and probably I wanna go three or 400 miles away from my house but I’ll probably end up just gone maybe around town in around 100 miles away do you think I should just get the Ryker and just put a bunch of accessories on it and make it comfortable appreciate your channel
If you just wanna ride and don't plan on doing any distance touring. I think the Ryker is an excellent option. They're a blast around town and on winding roads. Also, they are certainly a more affordable option.

It would be nice to see Vicky out enjoying a ryde. But I totally understand the endurance thing. I bought a syper rtl with the intent of doing some trips. I have discovered that my medical issues are going to make that a problem. A 4 hourryde leaves me exhausted for about 3 days. So I limit my rydes to around towen and short hops just outside town. I might have been better off wi the smaller ryker
So if you get a Ryker would it be a 600 or a 900?
I am thinking 900... Vic isn't so sure yet. 😂
