Ringo is the only person alive with authority to say shit like “he plays bass occasionally” when refereeing to Paul McCartney
I think you mean clout.
@@peterzebot9863 No, he means authority. Scousers don’t take shit from people who aren’t their mates. As one, I know.
while other people would usually praise him first for being the greatest musician and then here's ringo haha
Yeah it’s super funny just how casually he says it too
@TheClownCries
Ringo may be the only person alive with nothing to lose, or has the nerve to say "Paul McCartney plays the bass occasionally".

It sure is. All hall of fame songs.

Go check the Analogues, please do
Funfact: Originally the song didn't go "Would you walk out on me" but "Would you throw tomatos at me" but they changed it because Ringo was concerned that people would actually throw tomatoes at him if the Beatles decided to go on tour again. You gotta love how innocent Ringo is!

Great drummer, but I really don't think the guy who only wrote two Beatles songs really puts him in the same league as the other 3.

Miley Cyrus...Billie Joel Armstrong...Joan Jett...Beck...Stevie Wonder...Tom Morello...Dave Grohl... now THAT'S a lineup!!! All of these people were at one point in their lives influenced by The Beatles. This is probably the greatest honor they could ever have: sharing a stage with Sir Paul and Sir Richard!

This makes me sad that we'll never get a full fledged Beatles Reunion. Paul and Ringo even said that a full Beatles Reunion would've happened down the line if John and George was still alive.
They were asked to reunite for the boat people and John was the lone holdout. However, just before John died, a very close friend of all the Beatles asked them to reunite on film for a Beatles Documentary. They all agreed including John Lennon! So yes, if alive, they would have reunited. It was a shame. However, their music lives on!
I feel like they would have done something together by the mid 80’s. John and Paul were on good terms. I think John and George had a little riff at the time but nothing that they wouldn’t have been able to get over. Unfortunately, Free as a Bird and Real Love are the last songs we will ever get from all four of them.
@@johnepants Free as a Bird and Real Love were manufactured for Anthology. Yoko and Paul agreed to take Johns tapes from the late 70’s and turn them into songs with the 3 live Beatles and Johns voices pieced together. A fitting tribute however.
@@RONALDB62 you are 100% right. It was the only way to do something that included John Postmortem. Take his unfinished work and make something out of it with the 3 remaining band members.
@@vincentlem2534 Actually the truth is that it was never going to happen! It was Sid Bernstein who approached them all but only John responded after Bernstein put an advert in the New York Times in 1979. McCartney stated that "it was to heavy a responsibility. We (The Beatles) can't save the world". John was initially keen then changed his mind.
The documentary you mentioned was "The Long and Winding Road" later called Anthology. It was a Neil Aspinall project started in 1970.
My dad born in 1939. And it's been a few months since he left this world he was a big Beatles fan, he loved the Beatles especially this song because he thought that real friends are always the ones that will grow old by his side just like Paul and Ringo. I grew up listening to the Beatles, I know every album like the back of my hand and I will always love these guys. Thank You Boys.

Earlier in the night Green Day played the song Boys! with him. Look it up you'll get a kick. There all totally fanboying and it's a great song!
In the decades since they broke up, the Beatles have kind of evolved into a wellspring that nourishes the entire musical landscape. Their songs were formative for nearly all of the Friends who came out on stage to sing with Paul and Ringo (Stevie Wonder, of course, was a contemporary, so in his case it's more greatness acknowledging greatness).
Tre Cool on Ringo's drums. Imagine how ecstatic he is 😆
This is basically Green Day - With a little help (ft. Ringo and Paul and some other fellas)

Ringo has got to be the coolest man on Earth
They wrote the first song you can recall hearing on the radio - Don't Let Me Down. They were the first band whose records you bought with your busboy pay. They were the band you never jilted for another. You stayed up nights with your transistor radio waiting for Imagine to play again and again and again. You clipped newspaper and magazine articles, bought the biographies, and knew their history inside out. You hoped and hoped and hoped they'd take the 50 million dollars to regroup for one more concert. John died on your birthday, just a week before your girlfriend died while you were stationed in Spain, and George died just a week before you deployed to SW Asia after 9/11. You know them so well it's almost a shock to know they don't know you.
You don't want to share them with anyone, but you know they belong to everyone. They brought joy to the entire world with about 10 hours of music.
Rest in Peace, John. Rest in Peace, George. Rock on Paul and Ringo. ❤

I know that all the musicians on the stage have fond memories of singing this song growing up, (toking up), but with that said, and with the talent that is on that stage, I am not quite sure that Paul and Ringo have yet to grasp the still growing magnitude of what they contributed to music.
