Basically the whole story be like

this was funny i must admit but not really we only fought him twice including this in the main story

As many as it takes, since Otakemaru is one of the three strongest Yokai in folklore.
So... Hide was the nameless hero, and Hide's mom was Otakemaru's brother... Making him Hide's uncle... And we can forget Hide's also Saitou Dousan's son, Saitou Yoshitatsu and Lady Nou's brother, Nobunaga and Oichi's brother-in-law, Chacha/Yodo-gimi's uncle-in-law who was married to Toyotomi Hideyoshi Toukichirou...

@@shashumga7778 With the exception of Hide, Suzuka and Otakemaru all these other characters were real people with these exact same relationships who did the exact same things that happened on the game.
Essentially the Otakemaru in the main story is the manifestation of Otakemaru's hatred for humanity, he is essentially Kegare(Impurity) incarnate.
The real Otakemaru died in the past.

so main dlc quest you get the sword as a spirit. Got to admit thats pretty fucking cool. Also the story of how the first samurai is pretty nice as well
Since i got the special edition for a very cheap price in my local store with season pass included (technically it was for free), i'm very satisfied with the dlc's.
So in the end you meet kaguya and start the age of chakra.

That is very much unknown. Maybe they simply "retire", or maybe they continues slaying demons, who knows.
Hell, the last screen if you beat this DLC, Hide States that their journey ends the moment Sohayamaru's light fading away.
Yeah, Hide goes back to their time. From there the few side quests you gain after completing this one (Mujina interim quest for example) are canon but by this point Hide’s destiny has been fulfilled, and presumably this means that they and Mumyo will begin to age normally now that Sohayamaru’s power is fading.
This game looks so sick.

Loved the DLC truly did. The ONLY thing (aside from the hella questions I got about how this changed the game's history possibly) is I wish they'd given us a usable Sohayamaru via Refashion or whatnot as a last gift for the 3rd DLC.

Well at least that explains why Otakemaru in the form of Kashin Koji targeted the protagonist and the mom (Suzuka) when the protagonist was still a kid.
The first mission was ridiculously long and tate eboshi was ridiculous on dream of the wise she had so much health and ki.
It's 5:30. The dlc released at 12:30. I spent 5 hours on ONE mission
ya they really could split it into two missions. Like from the beginning to the first boss, that path is longer than dlc 2 first mission already.

For those wondering this is only mainstory dlc bosses. The bonus ones are side and tower fights, So stop crowing about nyotengu already it will be posted when its posted.
Now I hope there’s a season pass 2, our character fights in future battles in the timeline.

I mean... thats been the lore of kashin for ages...
So I just beat this game and all dlc, I did every side mission, every kodoma....why...did...they...re-use...so...many....bosses.......with that being said, this game was really fun, and very addictive. Great immersive combat, and if you're like I was, and fiending for a fresh souls like, this game is so damn long it really can fill a void. Not sure how 85% of this games mechanics work, but still an easy clap.
Ya they re use a whole lot of stuff , can be annoying at times , but that being said the games so long there still a bajillion unique bosses when you loook at the big picture ha . And I kinda liked that they re used some because it aided me in having a monster hunter / Witcher type feel 😂😂
so there are only 2 main mission right? since the first two boss are both in first mission. They really could have split them into two different missions. I mean from the beginning to the first boss, that path is already longer than dlc 2 first mission.
They made them 2 really long missions. I thought it was a good idea because it felt more like a journey and the levels had a lot of variety. Going from the dreary village in the Suzuka Pass to a fantastical forest after meeting your Mom was a nice touch aesthetic wise.
all those special yokai are way stronger than otakenaru nightmare form...lol

@@shadow7179 but that what bothering me what if the old man was an evil spirit born from otakemaru hatred that actually went back In the past to possess him and start it all and hide just went back to finish him off the way I see the ending when I did it it seemed as if I finally freed otakemaru from his hatred he did say he was now sharing is sister dream again and they were walking together in the afterlife Suzuka wearing her mom cloth like in the present dunno if you are following what I mean
@@Leroyfkingjenkin yes because Kashin Koji (the evil part of Otakemaru that hates humanity) was separated from the main Otakemaru when we cut off his horn. Make no mistake the main Otakemaru dies and one of the reasons he doesn't use his sword to resurrect himself is because he wanted to atone and because Hide is proof that Yokai and Humans can coexist as Hide is the child of Miyoshino/Suzuka (yokai) and Danjo (human). Kashin Koji is a bunrei of Otakemaru and his creation was when Hide cut off the horn (he did not follow Hide back to the past, we went to the past to complete the time loop as Hide was responsible for the creation of Kashin Koji as Hide is the First Samurai who defeated maximum power Otakemaru all those years in the past).
I guess that explains kinda why were so powerful... our Uncle is the number 1 strongest yokai thar ever existed!

Only 2 new bosses and 3 in total? We got 8 bosses last DLC with 5 being new. What the hell happened?
Technically only 3(4) new bosses were introduced in the second dlc. The rest being redux of vanilla bosses like Shuten Doji or a Hayabusa.
@Mr. Hater Otakemaru here in this DLC is very different than the last time in fighting, so he is easly countable as a new boss.
Also the first DLC added around the same amount, not to mention this DLC added 2 new unique yokai and 4 incredible variants of existing ones, and a returning enemy. This not counting the other stuff

@@eren7kruger129 yeah went at otakemaru expecting an easy win....oh boy was I mistaken lol got my ass beaten first time didn't went well for him the second time lol as for the last mission it was pretty easy for me well I'm lv225 using golden boy lightning scythe build with 52 endurance for fast dodge but still lol 3800hp with 1400ki tend to help plus 99magic with lot of life steal from amrita I get from gear stat too

I must say that I'm still very confused about the exact nature of Otakemaru's death here. It seems like Hide killed him in the past, but then who was the Otakemaru/Kashin Koji who appeared at the end there and supposedly kept rampaging throughout history up until the present? Is the "Present Otakemaru" still alive, or did Hide kill him at the end of the base game? If so, then how? Despite everyone's claims that the Sohayamaru can kill Otakemaru, the sword has never been able to do more than just seal him away, which I guess is because of those divine swords of his granting him immortality. But then why has the top priority never been to take those swords away from him so he'll stop being immortal? Past Otakemaru probably died willingly after seeing Hide's memories of peace between man and yokai through their spirit division, but Present Otakemaru should've had no such epiphany. If he isn't dead, then is he sealed away in Byodo-In again? I thought they needed the Sohayamaru for that, which Hide still has with them.
My guess is that Otakemaru died in that fight hut Kashin is the incarnation of Otakemaru's hatred for humanity. Otakemaru's darkness if you will.
@@Nick-Terakidan You're correct, The Otakemaru you fight in the main story is merely his essence. This Otakemaru is the real thing hence why he's so much harder both this fight and the previous
@@dinolover Would make sense for Otakemaru to still be around in the present time. So we get the Sohayamaru as a child, kill his essence, travel back in time to kill the Original Otakemaru who sheds his negative essence that forms his present version, travel back to the future and leave the Sohayamaru with our mother thus creating a self fulfilling prophecy. Which the Sohayamaru we have in the present loses its power as it finally fulfilled its purpose?

There is none, I'm afraid. But there is a TON of new and sick skills for the already existing weapons. I think that makes up for it

I don't think that Suzuka is Hide's mom, but I definitely think that there is a relationship there.
A descendant, perhaps, because she doesn't really look all that like Hide's mom, but a resemblance is there and we don't really know the logistics of Yokai having children.
It would make sense for Hide's destiny to be slaying Otakemaru if they're related to him, more than "oh it's your destiny because he killed your mom and that dagger she gave you is what's left of the legendary yokai slaying blade your dad destroyed"

Suzuka Is Hide's mother, Miyoshino. She Lost her Memory when She forged the Sohayamaru and regained It Only when Otakemaru definitely died, that's why She never told anything about her relationship with Otakemaru in the vanilla game. You find these Infos in Miyoshino's character file After you complete the DLC

@@marcomigliorucci343 I figured that out just now when the ending scene began, so not only was hide her son but hide went back in time and potentially saved mom and saw the birth of Kashin himself, so at some point in hide from a different timeline ended up in past, man noon is nioh is just awesome!

I will admid This dlc made me care more for Otakemaru. It makes me feel like Kashin Koji was all his negative emotions in form.
Nioh 1 had a poor narrative, didn't got into the story at all. Nioh 2 did a better job and i really liked it.

Okay so Suzuka is Hide's ancestor and hide is great niece of Otakemaru that would explain why he tries to take control of you and looks to me he is the one that brought Kashin to life
No Suzuka is Miyoshino the mother of Hide. If you go to Miyoshino character profile in the Hut it explains that she lived for a very long time after the Nightmare Bringer boss and changed her name from Suzuka to Miyoshino. Then she met Dosan and together they had twins (one became the head of Saito(?) clan and the other Hide was raised by Miyoshino until Otakemaru (as Kashin Koji) tracked them down and killed them for revenge. Hide survived due to the dagger.)

Someone can explain to me exactly how this story ended? The point is, after Mom was left with the sword, her story while the DLC was played will continue the same until our birth and her death? When Otekamaru has been "cleansed with evil", will his timeline change and what was in the NIOH2 base won't happen because Otekamaru is good? Or maybe just understand that history has just come full circle and that's it?
We only defeat otakemaru not his evil side , his evil side is is now shield inside the horns and processes anyone who wield it
