"Blind rage" is how most fans respond to anything anyway :D
the way the cannon fits over his hand, this mold could make for a pretty legit Turmoil if appropriatley redecoed.
surprisingly awesome tank mode
Looking at his face, he looks to be tired and worn-out/ old. It almost feels as though this is the Megs that has been through the entire war becoming more of a war veteran. Kind of like a Kup version of Megatron.
I feel like this would make a decent RID Megatronus
Rumble Cassette Eh not really warrior class RID megatronus is still
"It's got the slightest hint of a brown note to it."
Okay. Is it just me, or do those vents on the side of his head kinda look like the curls from a judge's wig?
I'm gonna call him archforce
OMG, this cyber batalion line is in EVERY store right here un Mexico, and that is cool.
The Tank Mode reminds me a little of concepts i saw for mobile Anti-Tank Artillery, where they replaced the rotating turret with a fixed section with a massive cannon designed for long range bombardment for breaking armor & bunker busting.
I wouldn't mind a shockwave repaint. He can already use a gun arm. Plus this figure would probably sell well as shockwave.
I picked up these for my four year old. He LOVES them! Greetings from the UK.
Nice vid, TJ. Sorry to hear things have been rough for you this week.
Cool I have this toy on my shelf
Good review. But dang. Why did America had to miss this line. Btw, will you review the rest of the line besides just the one you will review on Friday?
I have one on order that hasn't shipped yet and three more on the way that MIGHT get here in time to do one on Friday, if not I'll do a set of three down the line at some point.
Great review bro!!! I hunted and hunted and found an obscure web store that had him in stock. It cost me thirty dollars twice the original cost but I absolutely love this novility. We really got screwed out of an interesting line.
Might have been the same shop I got mine. Remember they never actually made it to US retail for that price, most places that got them in were online and asked $25 each, same price they sell for at Universal Studios now.
If this was Megatron's Cybertronian alt mode, then his alt mode as Galvatron makes a lot more sense. I like it!
Blast his own armor. LOL Great Tankgeneering at work there.
funny that people praised the figure for having PRECIOUS knees!!, its like there were shortage of knee articulation in the mainline or something.
We never got Megatron, starscream, and grimlock cyberbatalion figures i wonder why?
I admit, I'd totally buy an up-scaled Slash for 15 bucks,
This would look a lot better in green & purple. :P
should make a barn Wars Legend Warpath
Want this figure.
More asking out of curiosity than requesting, (it's probably not random review material anyway) but will you ever review the ixa belt?
Is it just me or does he look more like a gigantic artilery piece?
If it isn't a close-guarded secret, would you mind letting me know where you were able to find this?
can you do a random review of Cybertron Megatron or Galvatron?
It makes me wonder if what you said about this subline being planned but due to fan outrage canceled it is an example of how fans raging against something can sometimes lead into bad things like a line like Cyber Battalion being canned before it's time because people mistook what Hasbro was trying to test run at the time as them being greedy cheapskates thus leading to it's demise.
Course it would have helped if Hasbro explained it better to them at the time but then again I have a feeling that even if they did,the TF fandom will still rage and throw tantrums over the very idea of it since if there's one thing a lot of TF fans love to do it's complain a lot.
I had no idea this line existed.
Neither i dude, neither i
Anyone else getting a Bastion from Overwatch Vibe from this figure?
where did you get this cool Megatron ? when was it released ?
Do they even sell this in Singapore?
Where have you got him from? I want this thing so badly :D
He's really standing out. But I think his typical red wouldn't fit to the rest of the color scheme.
You are not possibly going to sell him, huh?
I don't remember this toy at all.
Was this during the TP Beast Hunters series when Legends Predaking and Optimus were being upscaled? BC this guy must have really been below radar.
Had this ever shown up in the stores I would have picked this up. Would have reporposed him as Beast Wars II Megastorm while I was at it.
it was during combiner wars I think
Scott Hutto Really? That recent? Damn....I never knew....
You can get Starscream, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from Universal Studios but they're rather expensive and you would need to be in Orlando FL or Hollywood CA. I'm going back in a few weeks, hopefully they'll have Megatron and Grimlock. Watch them have the larger Bumblebee and Optimus Prime instead though.
Yeah, they were during Combiner Wars but not in the US. They were mainly noted as being on shelves in Brazil but there were most likely other places as well.
The Beast Hunters upscales were the test run to see if fans would accept the concept, but they didn't explain that part, collectors assumed Hasbro was trying to go as dirt cheap as possible with all Transformers so they raged against it. Thus this line only came out in a few markets in Latin America and Asia in 2015, the only real US release is at Universal Studios for the Transformers Ride gift shop.
I have a friend who lives in Orlando Florida. And he goes to Universal a lot. I'm gonna give him a call. Thanks.
can you please do a review of the Transformers activators Strongarm and Bumblebee sets they remind me a little bit of armada Sideswipe by the way I've always wondered why did you stop doing plastic addict?
you do remember that you still owe us that Transformers power core combiners car combiner plastic addict review right? you alluded to it at the end of the video
His G2 tank colors looks better in this
Hi TJ. Love your reviews. I was wondering if you have dai x and/or x bomber from star fleet ( not Star Trek 😉) if so could you do a review on them please? Cheers
Also what's your opinion on the prices of the toys and do you think that they are being aimed mor to collectors nowadays? That's what I think. Not all toys but when you start having to pay 20/30 plus quid for a transformer then I doubt it's going to little Timmy lol
Sorry, never even heard of those.
As for prices, every toyline's price has gone up in the last ten years. A lot of collectors lines lately ask $20 minimum for a decent action figure, the fact deluxe Transformers are still under 20 at most stores and still look and play well is kind of amazing.
There's one Dai X out there and it uses magnets to combine. It's not that great a figure from the reviews I've seen. I think we need to send a message out across the sky to Bandai for a SOC version.
Charles A Emanuele the show was amazing especially for its time. Pretty sure it was a Japanese show aired 1980. Dai x was 3 vehicles, a ship, tank and bomber that joined into one big robot with an amazing sequence. Pity the show was forgotten about after it was aired.
its classics legends g2 megatron
mystic mhya It's a completely different figure. It has nothing in common with him other than it being Megatron.
Jarmo Verriet transformation , articulation. the only difference is the moulding, feet and gun
mystic mhya So basically nothing, then.
Jarmo Verriet all but starscream were utterly complete remolds ( in the case of megatron and grimlock repaints)
Not how remolds work, all of these are completely new toolings but they share the basic engineering with the Legends/Legions they were based on. From what I've gathered Grimlock isn't really based on any existing toy, just similar in the way most Grimlocks are, but I need to have him in hand to know for sure.
brown note? pun not funny
