Yeah! Special World 2 is definitely one of the hardest levels in the game. To the point where I died to the point where the problem was that I had to Switch my badge to the Spin Dash, which really helped me.

I found that the higher jump from the floaty jump badge is really helpful for some reason.

I found this level easier than the final final test but it was still difficult. It also felt finicky with the wall jumps at times

I’d say Climb to the Beat is the second hardest level in the game, behind the Final Final Test

OK, didn't see anyone doing this in the comments last time, so here's the scores through Special-2 (only counting end of level crowns):
Choc: 52
Tom: 31
Danny: 18
Casey: 16
Vern: 2 (although he's been in barely any levels to even get a chance)
As an aside, imo this is the second-easiest special world stage... then again 4 players will make all of them a lot more challenging than they should be otherwise. But good luck with some of these... Everyone seems to have their own personal demon in Special World (for me it was the goomba stage)

You guys NEED to play Newer Super Mario Bros Wii, it's a hack of Mario Bros Wii but it is nintendo quality and some even say its got better design than the original, there's more creative level themes and even a returning power up that wasn't in the base game but im not gonna spoil it in case you ever play it

New super Luigi U is actually better played on Wii U then it is the switch. The reason for that being is that in the switch version it forces 2 players to be easy mode characters. The Wii U version only forces one player to be an easy mode character. The game shouldn’t force anyone to play as an easy mode character in any version but I digress
