Regardless this series will be amazing. 2 extremely young teams (outside of Kyrie all the Mavs main players are 25 or under) with 2 bonafide top 5 players in the league going at it. Wish Maxi was healthy as he’s a great defensive matchup for Chet & can spread the floor so Chet can’t sit in the paint but it is what it is. I’m expecting at least 6 games of cinema. Could even be 7. I’m a lifelong Mavs fan who’s currently living in Oklahoma & I have loads of respect for OKC. Rooting for whoever wins this series to win it all, but… LETS GO MAVS

Why is it so hard to admit that your team is untested? That doesn't mean they will automatically fail the test. You can still say you think they will be up for the test, but acknowledge the reality of the situation.

You get just as much negative attention for being James Harden in the playoffs as being Chet Holmgren in the playoffs. It is all just noise. the Thunder were in the bottom-five for defensive rebounding rate this season but they finished 10th following the All-Star break. Don’t think for a second the mavs bigs can shoot 3s to over come any advantage! Thunder in 4 maybe 5 .
What does the Mavs bigs shooting threes have to do with anything? They don't even attempt threes they make high percentage lay-ups and dunks.

Mavs fan here. I feel similar to this series I did to the last one. OKC wins in 5 or 7. I feel 6 games favors Mavs. Really don’t think Mavs can beat OKC quickly, and I like OKC at home in the event of game 7. If OKC is hot and Mavs are flat, I don’t see the series going any distance.

Beat up on extremely talented KD, Russ OKC squad. Then took down the big 3 Heatles with Bron, Wade & Bosh. That’s our only title so I’ll never live it down lol.

I'm an OKC fan but the team needs big players against the Mavs and consistent 3 point shooter. Love Chet but even he has trouble with big guys. Mavs going to stop Shai and JD from driving into the paint. It's going to be difficult to guard Irwing. OKC needs rebounds if the 3 point shots are not hitting the threw the basket. Also OKC misses too many shots in a quarter and Mavs could easily blow them out. Sorry but Mavs in 5 game series. Manager of OKC needs to recruit big centers and just pay the money to them if they want to win the NBA. 🎉 finals.

OKC has 7'1" and 6'10" Centers in Chet Holmgren and Jaylin Williams, same height as Dallas' Lively and Gafford. Chet is about 22lbs lighter than Lively, and Jaylin has about 16lbs on Gafford. No idea where this idea that Dallas has these monster Centers comes from, because they don't, they are also a small team. With a hurt Kleber, OKC is actually the larger team all around, as neither team has a real PF in either the starting lineup or bench. Add to that both Holmgren and Williams are able to stretch the floor at the 3pt line, and Chet is both the best offensive, and defensive player, the battle at Center is actually highly likely to favor OKC. The 3pt shooter comment is hilarious considering OKC was the #1 3pt shooting team in the NBA all season long at 39%. OKC's worst bench shooter likely to play in this series, is their backup Center mentioned above Jaylin Williams, who is a career 38.5% shooter.
@@808bboarderOKC beat the Mavs in 3 games out of 4. But Luka wasn't playing in the 3 games and Irving played in 1 game still OKC won. However when Luka and Irwing played the 3rd game OKC lost big time on February 6 the score was 146 to 111 according to team stats.
OKC 38% vs Mavs 58%> 38% on par in 3PP. Defensive rebounds were Mavs 43 and OKC 28!! Points in the paint was Mavs 66 vs OKC 66 points! The numbers don't lie. I hope OKC win but this game is a indicator of what the Mavs can do to OKC.

OKC needs to shoot 3's in the 40- 50 % range against the Mavs. OKC can shoot but in the 2nd round of the series they have to shoot the 3,'s that well if they are shut fown from driving in paint. Mavs defense isnt shabby either and just as good as OKC. I hope you are must and you are making good points.

They cannot only shot 3's during the whole game and win against the Mavs like Hardy did against the Mavs. No OKC needs a higher 3P scoring and driving into the paint against the Mav. If OKC cannot retrieve defensive and offensive rebounds against the Mavs they need to out shoot the Mavs and cause Mavs turnover as well as scoring off steals. OKC doesn't have much room to come short against the Mavs in scoring if they are not out rebounding the Mavs.
Mavs have kyrie and luka they will win this series. Sga will have to rely on the whistle and they are cutting that out in the playoffs.

"Thin Boys"? Where does everyone keep getting this idea that Daniel Gafford is Shaq? He's only 6'10" and 234lbs, a pretty small Center in the NBA. Chet has already outplayed him in their 3 matchups this season, with the majority of Gafford's points actually coming against Kenrich playing the 5. As long as OKC doesn't go small with Kenrich or please help us not Hayward, OKC will have a noticeable advantage at the C position in this series. Heck, Chet just outplayed Valanciunas, who is actually a big burly guy. OKC as a whole will be the bigger team with Kleber out, as Dallas' bench is significantly smaller than OKC's.
