- Hello Friends,
I wanted to share an easy and budget-friendly way to add interest to your garden. The mulch in my garden was getting out of hand due to the Nebraska winds, so I decided to create a small rock garden in the front to match the rock garden in my flower beds. I still need to add plants and a fountain, but this has definitely helped with the mulch problem. So join me on creating this fun garden project.
P.S. My mom helped me with this on Mother's Day weekend. I couldn't have done it without her. She is my rock, and I love spending time with her, especially on fun projects like this.

Oh wow, I love rocks. Grew up.in a riverbottom in Southern California and kow live in central Nebraska. I have hauled in so many rocks one by one to landscape. If we drive somewhere and there are rocks we stop!. I also collect rocks from just driveways and walks and have bought a few when visiting museums etc. Envious of your trip to the Rock place.
That sounds amazing. When we lived in California I picked up some in the desert areas. But yeah you can’t beat that rock place and there prices omg!’😍

You can solve the mulch issue with Mulch Glue from your big box store. 🙂 Its also good for pea gravel too.
I thought about that too but my girlfriend said with kids it doesn’t stay very well. Depends on your thickness. Plus the glue was very pricy I would need a lot and do it every year. Too late now. 😂 plus how is it with plants?
I agree with Mom..... a rock water fountain would look so natural and organic. OMG.... you should have placed a board from the truck bed to the wheelbarrow and rolled it down!!!! Someone could have gotten seriously hurt!!!! Mom is quite the trooper!!!! Thats a lot of work, but totally worth it. Please, please be more careful with the heavy stuff.
Yeah last time we do it that way!! Other then that the rocks were fine because we had a dolly.
Wheelbarrow probably would have rolled off a ramp and across the yard...lol
