That part is actually easy on guitar because it's the same fingering just one string higher. The speed however and the power needed to hit the string is another thing
Only soto could pull this vocally challenging metal masterpiece.....and malmsteen has made his mark ...but there's no denying the ample Blackmore influence....
No one replaces Graham Bonnet on vocals for this Alcatrazz classic, however, Jeff Scott Soto does a great job here. Great upbeat tempo on this live performance. The Japanese crowd appreciate the moxie by which Malmsteen, Soto, Marcel Jacob and Johannson are playing. I love the live-action camera on shoulder recording style by the cameraman near the stage.
Interesting to hear the difference between Jeff Scott Soto and Graham Bonnet live. Soto's high notes are smooth and clear, but Bonnet in the live version didn't sound anywhere near as good, like he'd had a bad night before.
the 5 people who disliked either needed ear surgery from the screeching of the strat when the effects were tweaked or they were upset because the poor thing got it's head smashed off
Graham Bonnet a run for his life... really... your kidding... Graham is fucking kick ass and so much soul and Graham actually wrote it... seriously dude... get real... Soto is good but no Graham Bonnet.... Graham is king bro..

Silas Sell sorry for the late reply, but the cable is connected to a wireless transmitter on his guitar strap, so when he spins the guitar it doesn't get tangled up
Lol at least I Kno maLMsteen and I have one thing in common. Our complete love n admiration for Ritchie Blackmore... Lol he eventually grew into his own tho...
Graham Bonnet, as the former singer of Rainbow back in 1980, had rights on Spotlight Kid, so he did a differnt versión of the song for Alcatrazz. I prefer Jet to Jet over Spotlight Kid.
Im glad i can listen to rich+yng. Blackmores more a genius. malm is more of a great guitarist. also i would argue that on a good night. blackmore has better time than malmsteen+MORE ORIGINAL
Not by yngwie tho, the comproser Graham Bonnet from Alcatrazz was originally a Rainbow Singer, but when Richie kicked him and he made alcatrazz, he wrote jet to jet as sort of a parody of Sportlight Kid, except Jet to Jet has a more darker overall tone.
@@TrochezCovers but Yngwie being a Blackmore fan probably had something to do with it, i mean this isn't the last time that Yngwie took some inspiration from a blackmore song (Demon Driver's riff was inspired by Dead or Alive)
Everyone on here saying "such an epic performance from malmsteen!" When really it was him goofing off rubbing his guitar all over the monitors, amps and floor sounding like garbage for 5 minutes. A complete waste of time when your YM and you can shred instead of dumb gimmicks like this
R I P Fender Stratocaster, 1985 - 1985
William Allison, more like rest in pieces
William Alison, lol
Bukan graham bonnet
Jet to jet sound extremely much as Spotlight kid with Rainbow
Soto was a perfect fit for Malmsteen and Marching Out is a complete masterpiece and the best album hands down in the Malmsteen catalog.
Soto is the best vocalist on the planet for this style. Wow!
最強メンバーじゃないでしょうか! 85年、若さで満ちあふれている!
My gawd Malmsteen is on fire!
I like Yngwie this time!!!
This song is good to practice alternate picking.
Actually this is not alternate, that is the magic of Yngwie.
@@MarioBohorquezE what picking technique did he use?
@@ilhamakbar5482 economy mainly, and alternate
sounds just like rainbow spotlight kid-!
Yngwie showing why he was the greatest guitarist on the planet. Cool that he managed to get Shaun Michaels on drums!
malmsteen = MAESTRO
Este Malmsteen es un loquillo..
Dude Totally destories it!!!
1:59 why the hell they didnt show the yngwie part, damn editor
That part is actually easy on guitar because it's the same fingering just one string higher. The speed however and the power needed to hit the string is another thing
Afaik there's a version of this concert that doesn't have all the wacky edits. Maybe Yngwie is shown on that part on that version.
Remarkable band. Wicked.
Only soto could pull this vocally challenging metal masterpiece.....and malmsteen has made his mark ...but there's no denying the ample Blackmore influence....
Graham Bonnet?
great
well i like spotlight kid and jet to jet, both are amazing songs, and is not like is the same lyrics, also Yngwie solo here is amazing.

Jeff Scott Soto > Graham Bonnet
F A L S E T T E .
Soto=falsetto, Bonnett=no falsetto. Get your sh*t straight.
Jeff Scott Soto sings this just as good as Graham Bonnet , very impressive 👍👍
Как по мне, то вживую он поет даже лучше, чем Боннет)
Soto owns the song in this version, his range is amazing
Jeff great vocals!!!
Hell yeah, He kills it!!!
Wow!
Soto is a King
凄い!
That fender knew it's fate \m/
_yngwie is totally badass_
but was that destruction of that poor defenceless stat nececcary ?
*strat*... absolutely..
William Allison hahahahah omg yes it was
00:46, 00:49 overdubs from heeelllll
Rainbow - Spotlight Kid !!!
Yes - it is basically the same song. Yngwie also copies the trashing part of the guitar. He was not first.
kingif Neo classic Yngwie
I thought it was Spotlight Kid ;)
Jeff Scott Soto with muppet falsetto vocals in full effect!!
Si bien blackmore es extraordinario, malmsteen tiene toda la onda el jevy merol...
This is Rainbow's spotlight main riff...

Hey!, that Strat hasn't scalloped neck!, I didn't notice before o.o
He doesn't need scalloped neck... scalloped is actually harder to play...
@@mikebeaulieu3393 but he does played a scalloped neck, this one is not scalloped because this is not his main guitar

That's how a strat should sound.
Soto has more of an extended upper range and more control of it than Graham Bonnet.
How can you roll around and flip your guitar with a cable? Mine always gets tangled up after just walking around with it for a few minutes.
