The problem is not necessarily the doping it’s the fact that he was more than willing to destroy the careers and lives of people he called friends for decades, all in order to protect himself from the consequences of his own actions and behavior.

One thing I cannot figure out about America now - why is it so hard for people to make a rational judgement call on cheaters? Everyone was doing it -- oh ok well that makes it ok. This man plowed through the lives of people who pointed out his cheating. How about the way Lance was so comfortable with lying about cheating? That gives me the creeps. He is not a victim. He didn't make mistakes - he made choices. He knew the outcome would happen, he still wrecked people's lives. The fact or fiction that others were doing it - leveling the playing field like some commenter asserts is not remotely relevant. It's like we as a country have disregarded the idea of standards. Its pathetic.

It's the extent of the lying, deceit and betrayal of others that sets Armstrong apart, regardless of the fact that everybody was doing it. It illustrates his lack of morals. He's lost his soul and is brittle now. A man isolated and exposed.

I have a good friend who is into that “sport”. I asked him about Lance and doping. He told me everyone of those guys, for years, have been doping. It was a level playing field. What was a tragedy was they didn’t bring that out.
99% of pro cyclists dope and have been for years. It’s as much a part of cycling as breathing is. Every person that raced in that era doped. They couid have disqualified every rider in the Peloton.
Cycling is a sport, not a "sport".

This guy has had his legacy destroyed and all of his titles stripped from him for doing what literally every single athlete in every single sport for the last two decades (at least) has done: used performance enhancing drugs, and it's ridiculous. People need to grow up, get with the times, accept the fact that athletes use PEDs, and change the rules to allow it.
Obviously you have never trained for a elite sport ,not everyone takes sports enhancing drugs and to say get with the times is a ridiculous statement
