He also supports abortion up to 15 weeks from reports that came out. His take on abortion is quite moderate to be honest. So are you refering to Vance or to Trump? Last I checked Trump thinks the issue should be in part left up to the states.

A brief history lesson. Primaries are a relatively new process. Political parties are only quasi public like the Rotarian's or Moose Lodges. They can nominate anyone anyway they want. Or you can just run without any party affiliation like RFK Jr. is.
Typically the incumbent and his vp dont have to run in primaries. There were no republican primaries in 2020 as trump was the incumbent, primaries are usually only done among the competing party. Idk why everyone is freaking out when this happens litterally evey 4 years. The incumbent and his vp are expected as the partys nominee
What about he states that use ranked choice voting for president and federal elections. Main dean phillips 6.4% vote second place, Nevada Dean Phillips 2nd place ranked candidate, Virginia 3.4% Dean Phillips second ranked candidate, Maryland Dean Phillips second ranked candidate 1.2% Minnesota Dean Phillips 3.1% second ranked candidate.
Dean Phillips got 564,000 votes in Democrat Primaries in 38 states. Harris got zero presidential primary votes in all these ranked choice candidate states, they have kept republican candidates off the ballot in these states for not being ranked, so how do you square that up. Are they really democratic if they allow a candidate with no ranking in ranked candidate states.??
This is what made me really love America, an incompetent president can still run the government and the majority of the grassroots like myself didn't feel dramatic change in the day to day life. Limiting the power of president, government and any political party is the real democracy!
