Dude! I was watching a CZcams video and it locked up while repeating a word the woman was saying even when I closed it shut! It seems like the damn thing was possessed, which I know it wasn’t. I searched locked frozen chrome book and tried this esc, refresh, power button trick and got back my sanity. Thank you!! You’re awesome!

Yes, the Esc+Refresh+Power Button. This boots a recovery mode. Ignore it and reboot the chromebook with the power button (off then on). This should work!

this morning it worked and now it doesn't... no matter what I try. Its 11 months old and not my daily computer. I may use it 1 hour or 2 daily at most. Now its just a brick.... plugged in power and the led went on for about 5 min until it was full since it was full before I shut it off. Now no matter what I have tried it doesn't work... reset button+esc+pwr.... reset+pwr.... fiddling with power cbl as well... also changed chargers... I've never experienced this with any computer. Its the last asus chromebook I will buy. Any ideas?
