I was 12 when I gave birth to my little boy; I was a ward of the state, living in a foster home that was harming me instead of protecting me. I tried to tell my social worker what was happening to me but I wasn’t believed. I didn’t have a good reputation. I was a wayward, problematic kid, a habitual runaway, I suppose I can’t blame anyone for not believing me… long story short: I spent the remainder of my time as a foster kid trying to prove to the State that I could care for my baby. I did everything they asked of me, took all the required classes… kept my life on the straight and narrow. When my baby was a toddler we finally found a foster home that would take both of us and I was able to form a relationship with him. I graduated high school early, with honors, enlisted in the Marines so I could get a grant to attend college. My sweet boy is 16 years old now; he is a thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate young man. My life’s ambition is to make sure he grows up to be stable and happy; understanding that, in spite of how he came to be, he is worthy of this life! My son saved me from a lifetime of bad choices, sadness and loneliness. I can’t imagine any woman, especially a fully-grown adult woman not doing everything to love and protect her child. I pray Baby Saul grows up to be happy, confident and successful ❤

Alexis threw her baby in the dumpster at 2pm ish. What time was the baby found? I think from Hector and Aprils testimony it was about 8? That’s 6 hours in a double bagged trash bag. It’s a miracle and blessing this baby survived.
Yes it was around 8pm I think. It was definitely at night. It is a MIRACLE that he's alive. My goodness listening to the officers and doctors about how close he actually was to death is insane. His kidneys had shut down, and I think they said he'd reached that point where his organs had started expelling fluid which is what happens when someone dies. I think another hour or so and it would have been too late

She was another 19 year old who had a baby in the hospital bathroom, wrapped him in a plastic bag, put trash on top of him to hide him, and went back to continue getting medical treatment. Her baby DID die. This baby didn't but came close to it
There’s another case in New Mexico Alexee Trevizo who hid her pregnancy and was at the ER complaining of back pain and went into the hospital bathroom and gave birth but never pulled the cord for help. When nurses knocked to ask if she was ok she said yea. The bathroom was covered in blood and the cleaning lady found the baby dead in the trash and wrapped in a plastic bag. Full term. Yet her parents bonded her out. She was allowed to attend the last two weeks of school to graduate and allowed to attend prom with her boyfriend. I can’t believe that the school allowed that when thousands of teens are kicked out of school and not allowed back for verbal threats, or fighting! Yet a 19 yr old killed her baby and tried to hide it in the trash and was allowed to finish school and graduate. Come on your 19 and know that sex means high probability of getting pregnant. You know it’s a baby not a bug, not a alien. It’s a human being and the baby feels pain same as you and all of us. A baby did nothing wrong but be born to someone who didn’t love nor treasure them. God have mercy on your souls.

My daughter got pregnant at 16 after having my grandson she graduated highschool with straight A's she insisted of doing the right thing ,got a job and taking good care of her son , my grandson is now 8 years old and my daughter is working hard and is looking to buy a house for the both of them i am so proud of her ❤️

I was 17 yrs old, my mom and dad were strict and I just wanted to please them. I was a wild kid with behavior issues, daddy issues, and i was in denial for the first 7 months of my pregnancy, but never in my wildest days did I ever think of getting rid of my baby or harming him in anyway. He's now a handsome 13 year old with a beautiful soul

And the Dr. who told her she was pregnant would have examined her, gave her paperwork on pregnancy, medical care, etc.! At least the initial info & to see a obstetrician right away because on examination the Dr would know she was full term! Wouldn’t take much to tell that! 😮

The prosecutor was harping on an oversimplified and frankly incorrect definition of blacking out. It doesn’t mean she wasn’t aware of what she was doing in the moment, it’s that the event was so traumatic that her mind blocked itself from forming a memory of the event. Her testimony didn’t do her defense any favors whatsoever.
Obviously she’s in denial and has disassociated from the fact that she’s a narcissist who thought she would be found not guilty.

I was so happy to hear that the baby is with his father and has been from the moment he was healthy enough to be. I think she figured to try to rid herself of the baby someway from the day she found out she was pregnant in the beginning. I remember giving birth to my son like yesterday. It's been 42 years ago and still fresh in my mind.
I remember my daughter's like it was yesterday (she's 13 now) but it's weird however not too surprising, that I have blanks in my son's birth (he is 5)
His birth was traumatic (ended in C section) whereas my daughters was textbook natural delivery.
Ha! I should add, the Ceasarian birth itself wasn't traumatic. It was everything leading up to it.
She remembered that her mom drove her to the hospital after they left the police station and that she didn’t go in to get treatment .Then she “blacked out” the next couple of months.

Me too with both of mine. It was scary, traumatic, and the most painful thing I've ever been through but I held onto both of my children with the love and strength of a real mother and never once did I think it wasn't completely worth it

This is exactly what I said. When I got pregnant with my son. I was scared. I didn’t know what I was going to do. Until I seen a safe haven video on TikTok and I though about it for a long time. But in the end I couldn’t bare giving my baby away when I delivered him. So small so precious. I’m so happy I made that decision my son is my world. There’s no excuse for a human being to do something so evil like this. They will look for other options for baby to be safe in a loving home. But this, this is just evil. No excuse AT ALL.😢

They put child killers and child predators is protective custody for their safety but it's basically isolation and drives people crazy so that's the bright side of it. But inmate justice doesn't really happen anymore. It's very rare. The prison doesn't want to be sued so they take precautions to protect them

You don't get to NOT say what your crime is when you're surrounded by inmates. Everyone wants to know who they are having to share space with. If she doesn't tell them, a snitch or a visitor or a guard will spill the beans. Either way, she is going to have a very tough 16 years.

Being a mom myself of two beautiful children who are 2 and 3. It is physically IMPOSSIBLE to NOT KNOW you are pregnant! They kick and move and cause pain when they are uncomfortable. My son loved to move and kick and punch I loved every moment of it. My daughter who is 2 sat on my cervix on her butt through the ENTIRE pregnancy all the way till her due dates. I had to have a c section with her. I could not walk with her and with both kids I was physically exhausted I couldn’t walk with my daughter everything hurt. My pelvic area hurt and popped every time I walk or moved or even sneezed or breathed too HARD! I still suffer with walking and picking things up that are too heavy bc my pelvic area still pops and hurts. I’m slowly regaining feeling from the area of the Surgery. From this unimaginable pain I have a very happy little girl. I spent 3 days to a week in and out of the hospital before the hospital finally did the surgery bc she want to be born now but butt first. I work day and night to provide for my children and get very little sleep just to make my kids happy! I’d do anything for my kids. How she could do this angers me to the pit of my stomach. I was 17 when I got pregnant and gave birth 18 when I got pregnant again and 19 when I gave birth. I was detached from my daughter for 3 months but still did everything I could for her while my husband took care of her I finally played with her after 3 months to overcome my depression and want to spend time with my child. I now have a very strong bond with both children that now when they see me they yell at me “MAMA!” “Mama night night?” “Mama bottle?” “Mama juice” “mama I go outside” and they snitch on each other I can’t imagine life without them. Even in my darkest moment I still provided and forced myself to overcome it through the love of my family and husband.❤ if she didn’t want the baby out him up for adoption.

I got pregnant at 17. Found out when I was 4 months yes it's very posdiable. Either way I told no one but was smart enough to find a dr within weeks had an app and found out it was a boy and even then secretly starting prenatal. My baby boy is now almost 27 and my pride and joy. I think this girl found out in April then never went to Dr who would have guided her on what to do next and when the pain was too much went to clinic then delivered. This is why u make sure ur kids feel safe talking to u

I am NOT agreeing with what this monster did and there’s no excuse but both of my pregnancies were cryptic. I didn’t know with my first until 23 weeks and I didn’t know this time around until 21 weeks. I had an IUD with one and a depo shot with the other. I had no weight gain, felt no movement, and was SHOCKED each time I found out.
That being said, the SECOND I found out I got care.

Weird how she said that HE (the baby), was going to have to live with this for the rest of his life. Then she remembers, oh I will have to live with it too. It's those little comments she makes, that shows that she tries to distance herself from the ordeal that she caused. Even though she was trying to use the blackout defense, and supposedly can't remember what happened, we still get to see glimpses of the truth. So the lawyer was questioning her and he told her…”so you were able to navigate the space inside that dumpster that you were able to throw your newborn baby inside it, weren’t you?” Her reply…”it’s not like I calculated the length of the dumpster, no”. I sure hope the jury caught that comment from Alexis! Cause THAT RIGHT THERE shows she DID NOT FORGET! Every question she was asked after that, she answered..”from what I seen in the video, no”. She was trained to answer this way but she DID answer that first question! And if these lawyers are taught to teach their clients how to lie like this, how can you EVER trust a lawyer?!

I sure didn't catch that! I was looking for an answer that would disprove all her BS memory problems, but I totally missed it. It would have been much more effective had the prosecutor jumped on that answer and pointed it out to the jury like the red flag that it was.
I'm not so sure I can agree that her attorney "taught her to lie". I understand your point, but I also don't think that Alexis was an easy defendant to work with. I think there was a lot of compromising between Alexis and her defense attorney. That girl is one stubborn defendant. I wonder what her parent's thought of this whole fiasco.

I was 15 a he was 17 !!!we had a little girl and we married in 68 my husband passed away in 2013 and he gave US everything we needed and we loved ❤️ each other ! I still take him flowers 🌻 lam 70 Year's old and we have 5 children l lost my son in 2021 l am still heart broken 💔😢 hes buried next to his Dad 😭 l love all my children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and l would do anything for them !! till my last breath God bless me with them and I except them all and I am thankful for God's gifts !! This girl would of been better throwing herself at the jury's mercy and apologising for her actions. All this I can't remember is just rubbish. I actually sort of felt sorry for her being young and dumb but now I feel angry she has taken zero responsibility and didn't shed a tear! And from her interrogation she kept saying how she was “only 18”. You can tell from there she was already playing the it’s not my fault card and acting naive. But not too naive to have sex and then carry out a plan to hide her baby’s birth and casually drive to throw him away and walk back to car and drive off. She didn’t look in a rush like she was scared, just casually opening the back door to get the bag and toss it out. And her mom I have a feeling she had a idea she was pregnant. During the interview she didn’t seem scared or concerned. She seemed very calm. If that was my daughter I would’ve been asking “what do you mean my daughter was pregnant “ and also “where is the baby” !

SO crazy there is a current case (trial starts in October 2023) of a girl, also from New Mexico, also 19, also threw her newborn away, AND her name is similar. Alexee Trevizo.
The way she chunked the baby in the dumpster, whoa. And threw the bag in the back of the bin. She didn’t set it in, didn’t put it on the pile near the front, didn’t put air holes in the bag, nothing. She wanted to completely obliterate that that baby had ever existed. And then her police interview, where she kept saying she was only 18, had just turned 18. On the stand a year later, there’s not only not an ounce of guilt, remorse or shame, but she’s actually smiling and presenting as cheerful. I can’t help but think Antisocial PD.

I was also 18 when I had my daughter. She's now 19 going on 20 and I couldn't be happier and more proud of her. She's now at a Cal State pursuing her degree in History and possibly law.

In 1963 I thought I was pregnant at age 18 when abortion was not a right (the previous time), and as a very immature student nurse, I knew I was not ready to be a mother. I honestly don't know what I would have done if that had turned out to be true and I had been forced to give birth, but I know what I wouldn't, and could not have done, and that would not have been to tie the infant up in a garbage bag and throw it in a dumpster to die. I might have sought the services of a Dr, who was known to perform illegal abortions at the time. I'm not in this woman's shoes, nor do I know her circumstances, but surely she was aware that there are options today like safe havens where a baby can be dropped off, or finding help from an abortion provider, anything other than the one she chose, but I do understand that poor decisions are made when one is young and scared. What she did was cruel and criminal, and so is taking away reproductive choice from girls and women. Keep abortion legal and safe.
I was born 1962, in my youth I did a lot of stupid things..most likely because I ran away at 12 and pretty much raised myself. I had NO other to turn to that I could trust. I will get to my point. I was pregnant for my son Sean, the father wanted me to have an abortion so he took me to a place to have it done..when they called my name to go back I stood up and I believe God said to me if I do this I will never have a child again. I turned around and walked out. The father after that tried to unalive me on a few occasions..Sean is 29 today and im so blessed to have had the experience of raising a child. Anyway, back then abortion was so common, young girls getting them left and right. Before my son was born like I said I did a lot of stupid things and I have prayed for forgiveness many times..my life today would be so very different if I had a mentor, a mother figure..someone I could trust. I’ve done well thought don’t get me wrong. Today though I can’t believe how many young girls are getting pregnant! Life today is nothing like it was, we have kids raising kids, and so many of these mothers and fathers finding it so easy to disregard their children like trash. We definitely need strict consequences for this! What this gal did to her child is dark and evil and if she would get away with doing this she would have no problem doing it again..She is a sick person!

Thank God the baby survived! I was seriously thinking there's no way the staff wouldn't try to rush that baby to a neonatal doctor to try to revive it. I saw a clip just a few weeks ago about a baby being worked on by a doctor for at least 30 mins. until that baby was able to breathe some air. It was a miracle and kudos to those doctors who will do anything and everything to save their patients. This baby was a true survivor. I hope the teenage mom will do some serious jail time and never get to see the baby that she treated as trash and left for dead.

She probably had an attorney court appointed to her from the state. Defense attorneys from the state can’t choose not to defend a person. No matter what the person did they deserve a fair trial and are entitled to a defense attorney.
Everyone is entitled to a defense. Thats one of the things that's great about our country. We may not think some people deserve it but they do if you truly believe in our justice system.

In fact I never administer opiates to any child bearing age woman before a pregnancy test results are received. I don’t know what’s going in New Mexico because both teenage woman giving birth -one in an ER bathroom ,the other at her en bathroom at her home -/ never would either f these women be given opiates until the pregnancy test is done and results received. I’ve worked in Hi, MT, PA, NJ and opiates are not given to this population of women. So what’s going on in New Mexico was outlawed in the United States 35 years ago! I cannot IMAGINE this. My baby was born 2 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. When she was born, she was placed in my room with me and never left. All doctors came to our room to check her out rather than her being taken away. I cannot IMAGINE what parents go through with a child in the NICU. And for this mother to just….not care is so sad for the child.
My baby was in the NICU when she was born. I cried so much…and it was agony to even say she was in the NICU. I am so grateful she is such a little fighter. She’s a healthy 6 year old
