You can use sunflower oil or any normal cooking oil 🙂
I only needed the filling, I tried it many times now, it comes out perfect 👌 sometimes I have 800gr of potatoes so I reduce the other ingredients according to that and it works

Nabeela i would love to say thanks for your clear instructions. I also have not heard of carom seeds before so that is a new discovery and hope to buy some soon. I am adding minced lamb and half amount of the potatoes. The other half amount of potatoes , i am adding cooked spinach. Take care. Happy cooking. Xx

I just made these using leftover empanada discs, it works great. The filling is delicious.

Thank you! You should put it for a minimum of an hour. I normally make the dough and then prepare the filling. For best results let it rest a little longer. 🙂
