A few days ago, My dad got me a female budgie that was raised terribly at a pet shop, She grew in a cage full of budgies and looks like she got neglected because she is so thin. She came in a paper bag, Poor thing😔 My male budgie unlike my female was raised in a nice breeders home and he got tamed really easily. My female budgie named Midori is super scared of my hand, when I try to change their food and water she gets frightent. She doesn't even take a bite of the millet!
This video is AMAZING!. Not only is it remarkable to see someone saving this beautiful girl But it also helped me begin to tame my scared budgies who were also rescues! 💞
Hi - I was just wondering if you have a good bond with them after a year. I bought two about 2 months ago and I'm having trouble with them being comfortable around me.
Jepm 1312 not true my bird that is a budgie is the most caring little bird and loves to hide in my hair and never leaves my side and I glad I got him instead of a cockatiel
Sadly no 😭😭😭😭 only 1 of them half trusts me but still flies away from my hand when I put it in their cage😢 btw I tried to upload a clip of my budgie that half trusts me but it didn't upload Idk why... 😐😐😕
Alen AxP I need your help is rosemary edible for budgies I have a pair of tamed budgies and every time I let them have them out the cage the fly to a rosemary plant and eat and it looks like they enjoy it
Sohaib Farhan I have two. Both of them won’t accept lettuce or fruit etc. I’ve tried every technique but they are still scared of any new thing I introduce to them.
Sohaib Farhan there is only so much you can do. I bought vitamins to add to their water. I had an albino parakeet a long time ago. The only natural food he would eat beside regular seed was lettuce. He lived to the ripe old age of thirteen with me. Don’t know his age when I got him. So there’s hope!
I got two budgies around a few weeks ago, and I was trying to tame them. However, whenever I bring the millet over, they would just fly away. They would get very skittish and nervous around me and even when I come close to the cage. They get freaked out when I change the water or food. I really want to get them to eat vegetables and fruits, but I can't even feed them anything. I would like any advice from you, Alen!
What do I do if I can’t feed them with my hand Can’t get them out of the cage Can’t keep the cage in one place through the day Can’t get a bigger cage Can’t provide a stress-free inviroment Only got the birds 4 days ago
Well first you don't need a bigger cage and if u gotten them 4 days ago well their not gonna be used to the environment so u don't need to be worried about that and plus if u gotten them 3 days ago they will soon be use to the environment then you do not need to move the cage during the days and also all budgies have different personality and some have the same my tip is for you just to get to know the budgies personality more and your all set the key is the personality and the stress free environment you could always move the bird to another room but GIVE IT ATTENTION and u only got them 4 days ago right? Then don't get them out of the cage their not use to it wait until like 2-3 weeks then try the taming thing that this video provided many people. That is my tip for u
hi, this is an update to what happened with my budgies, we got a big cage for them and it has place if it’s own, my budgies eat from my hand and hop on it now. I still didn’t get them to get out of the cage but I’m working on it. I’m so happy! In addition to that, we got a new adorable little blue budgie who wasn’t in the best conditions and had his friend die, I’m taking care of him and we’re going to get him a friend so we have even numbers in the cage, he only came yesterday so I thought i’d rewatch some of these videos to tame him as well. I never thought I’d get to care for more than 2 budgies at one time and I’m just so excited! his name is snow by the way. Also, I learned a lot so they’re in good hands now :)
Hey so I've had my two budgies for about 3 or 4 months and we tried all of your techniques but they never EVER want to perch on our fingers. Help would be nice! Thanks
Sorry for your loss. We just found our tame budgie dead this morning, he was purchased already tame . He was fine last night. We loved him so much and we are devastated. A real puzzle as the other bird in same cage is ok?
brett duck I had a similar experience, I found one of my two budgies dead less than a week ago :( he showed no signs of sickness I have no idea what happened to him, I assume it must have been a birth defect. My other budgie seems to be just fine. It really messed me up, I expected for him to live a long and happy life and he was really starting to open up to me. He was very young
I’m slowly trying to tame my new budgies, but I am very new to this. I’ve gotten them to stand on my hand and eat from it, but they still don’t trust me.
I have a budgie too , when i bought him , he was in a small cage like that with other 30 budgies , he was soo depressed , but i stayed 6 7 hours per day with him , played with him , talk with him , i gave him a lot of love , now is the happyest bird , i never keep him in cage , just to sleep and thats all , he is free to do what he wants . Only us can save this birds who stayed 30 in a small cage , i recommend you to buy one ! And save a soul ! They will become ur best friends with good attention and love !
Here’s a tip idk of you already do this but use different sides natural wood perches else dowel perches can give the a illness on there feet cllled bumble foot and don’t give them just seeds give them a variation of pellets and only use seeds and mullet outside the cage as treats for training or getting them in I would recommend whatching elleandthebirds for more tips to keep your bird healthy ☺️
I’m trying to tame my cockatiel but I’m too scared to let her out because she can fly (we keep her indoors). I’m not sure how to put her back into the cage after letting her out without having to grab and catch her, making me look like a predator. How did you get Bella back before she was tamed?
Mori Cake try and use millet to guide her back in the cage if she’s afraid of your hand put little parts that lead to the cage or if that doesn’t work try to just put the cage near her if those don’t work just be really still so you don’t scare her and do not chase her if she does get out just be really patient and set the cage by her hoped this helped :)
If she is already comfortable in the house, and in her cage, she will come back alone for food. When you want for her to come back in, show her some millet and put that in the cage. She should come in to eat.
4:46 you're taking a video on your phone, I thought it was DSLR camera with its high quality, Also Nice video again, Keep doing your best an never give up Alen AxP
I have one budgie I've had for two years who is completely tamed, and one budgie I got about 7 months ago, who is *VERY* scared of me! She's been through alot growing up because her old mate passed away recently. Whenever I try to feed her or get close she will fly all over the place. She'll only feed of me when she's very hungry (when I refill food.) Does anyone have tips?
I once tamed a budgie by ignoring him and eating in the same room (he was in my bedroom). It was summer so I was eating lots of fruits (I gave him some too usually but for some reason the part in my hand was more interesting than the part in his cage) and I think curiosity beat fear in the end (also he really liked pulling on my earrings). They're curious little critters once they get over their fear
Research body language of budgies. Look for small signs. My timid parrotlets sometimes walk away (if sitting on perch) or open the beak ("stay away or I'll bite") or put their belly down (before flying away). Be patient. Small steps. No quick movement. Also: In the morning they are more hungry. Remember: The video is cut (of course) and it looks like immediate success. Well, not necessarily. You have all the time in the world. Don't lose hope. Good luck. Use millet ONLY as a treat or else it's not as beneficial. It works even better, if the bird eats other foods, too. Apples, broccoli, zucchini... do your research.
Ella Thomas typically a month of 10-20 minutes everyday gradually increasing time everyday should do the trick but if your budgie is scared or really not up to it that day stop there and don’t force them as they will loose trust!
@@jimmykurt2790 Great question! Luckily Button has chosen his "safety" spots and spends most of the time is two to three places and I just place paper on those spots. A few days ago, My dad got me a female budgie that was raised terribly at a pet shop, She grew in a cage full of budgies and looks like she got neglected because she is so thin. She came in a paper bag, Poor thing😔
My male budgie unlike my female was raised in a nice breeders home and he got tamed really easily. My female budgie named Midori is super scared of my hand, when I try to change their food and water she gets frightent. She doesn't even take a bite of the millet!
AlenAxP you have made my budgie live for 12 years you are the best! Also Cookie, Biscut, Mr.Snowflake, Sunny and of course Bella are the best!!!!!!
Oh wow! What a long healthy life 0w0
Wow that's a while
This video is AMAZING!.
Not only is it remarkable to see someone saving this beautiful girl
But it also helped me begin to tame my scared budgies who were also rescues! 💞
I bought 4 scared cute budgies
After 3 days 2 already started eating out of a bowl on my hand
That's good, keep up the great work!
Hi - I was just wondering if you have a good bond with them after a year. I bought two about 2 months ago and I'm having trouble with them being comfortable around me.
@Jepm 1312 I believe that all birds can make great pets :).
Also, what are you doing on a budgie video if you don’t like budgies?
Jepm 1312 not true my bird that is a budgie is the most caring little bird and loves to hide in my hair and never leaves my side and I glad I got him instead of a cockatiel
My parakeet just runs away I only got her like 4 days ago
2:07 “Just enjoy”
oh that feeling is beyond enjoyment, pal
Seeing them all crammed in the cage like that 💔 😢 Sure is Beautiful to gain their trust and love ❤❤❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is Your Birdie Tamed?
You can learn more and order Millet food for a Budgie here www.amazon.com/shop/alenaxp
Sadly no 😭😭😭😭 only 1 of them half trusts me but still flies away from my hand when I put it in their cage😢 btw I tried to upload a clip of my budgie that half trusts me but it didn't upload Idk why... 😐😐😕
One of mine is tamed his name is crystal
Alen AxP i got mine 2 days ago and waiting for them to settle in a bit more
Alen AxP I need your help is rosemary edible for budgies I have a pair of tamed budgies and every time I let them have them out the cage the fly to a rosemary plant and eat and it looks like they enjoy it

Awwww 🥰 you are the BEST bird owner!! I just got my new cockatiel yesterday and I’m in love! P.S. I think bella and sunny might like each other ;)
agreed
Same...
Hi
I have 2 scared budgies and 1 of them hopped onto my thumb a few mins ago I am so happy just need more time for the other budgie
this helped me so so much! especially because my budgies just moved into my new room and new cage. i tamed them quickly now he can stand on my head!
Oh I tried but they bite my fingers
I tamed my scared budgie in one day...it eats from my hand....it stands on my shoulder....much more...
Wow, she looks much healthier and happier, than when you first brought her in. Kudos to you mate
My budgie is scared of fruits like strawberries
LMAO XD That's funny.
Sohaib Farhan I have two. Both of them won’t accept lettuce or fruit etc. I’ve tried every technique but they are still scared of any new thing I introduce to them.
Nina Paris yeah and it’s crazy bc fruit and vegetables are really important in budgie diet and I really don’t know what else to do!
Mine too try giving it coriander
please can you make a video about the best starting products for new budgie owners.
It would be really useful
Yes!!
Ye
She is so brave!!! You did it and she did it!!!!💗💗💗🦜🦜🦜
They know he is kind and patient :)
When i put this video on my budgies were talking when the budgies in the video were talking
2:00 Everybody happy until the budgies pecks and rips your skin at the nail.
They are not that strong
Bababanshee -roblox yes but still,it hurts
I mean that little bit that kinda stands out
Idk I have four and their beaks are all different ( longer , shorter etc) let them get your skin just right you'll see lol
They have very sharp beaks
I got my budgies a few weeks ago and now I am finally getting half step-ups from Indigo and Gemini (My two budgies)! Your videos are so helpful!
I would like any advice from you, Alen!
yesss exactly
Were u able to figure it out ?? Lmao I need help with mine, I try to bribe it with vegetables but doesn’t work
@@paris6794 Yeah, I figured it out eventually. I had to be veryyyyyy patient, and eventually they would really want the millet and fly over. :]
Jas Lu how are they?
same
That female budgie is like my budgie "lemon"
What do I do if I can’t feed them with my hand
Can’t get them out of the cage
Can’t keep the cage in one place through the day
Can’t get a bigger cage
Can’t provide a stress-free inviroment
Only got the birds 4 days ago
Sarkies Daniel thank you
Hey so I've had my two budgies for about 3 or 4 months and we tried all of your techniques but they never EVER want to perch on our fingers. Help would be nice! Thanks
👍☘️🇮🇪 wow 😮 great upload such beautiful birds 🦅🦜🦜🦅🦜the are fantastic big like my friend 👍
I like seeing him smile
Those budgies: "oOoOo treats"
My budgie: AHHH A HAND
0:00 omg I am heartbroken. They put all of those birds in such a small cage. Disappointing
What? Just mind ur own business dork haha
Stefi Gacha Dimova it’s not funny they need space and that is a small cage so mind your business you heartless freak
@@imasinner3086 Not my fault "heartless freak" go get a life
Stefi Gacha Dimova I have a life how about you get one instead of hating right now
My budgies only trust me when they're hungry.😅 otherwise they don't even care
Same
this budgie is like mine but she passed away a week ago😭😭😭😭😭
So sorry to hear about your budgie! God Bless! Hugs! :(
Sorry for your loss.
We just found our tame budgie dead this morning, he was purchased already tame . He was fine last night. We loved him so much and we are devastated. A real puzzle as the other bird in same cage is ok?
brett duck I feel sorry for your loss. :( May your tame budgie Rest In Peace..
I am so sorry for your loss, it would've lived a wonderful life 💔💖
brett duck I had a similar experience, I found one of my two budgies dead less than a week ago :( he showed no signs of sickness I have no idea what happened to him, I assume it must have been a birth defect. My other budgie seems to be just fine. It really messed me up, I expected for him to live a long and happy life and he was really starting to open up to me. He was very young
I like your budgies like Bella ,cookie, biscuit,Mr.Snowflake, and the other five baby budgies
When I think of the mistakes I made with and to Cedric our family budgerigar I am flabbergasted. :)
First like and comment I love budgies!!!
first person that was on the moon, you know who hat was?
Literally nobody cares, loser.
I’m slowly trying to tame my new budgies, but I am very new to this. I’ve gotten them to stand on my hand and eat from it, but they still don’t trust me.
Oddi-Bun
Take them to a room where you spend lots of time and do relaxed activities, you do not have to interact directly with them
i just got my second budgie yesterday, do i give him 2 weeks to get associated with his new location before i follow these steps?
1:43 was my fav part when she was scared to go on your hand it was so cuteeee!
Finally today budgie came to my hand
They will actually just go back to their own cage by themselves. I myself have 4 zebra finch and I let them out and they go back on their own
They actually go back on their own. I myself own 4 zebra finch and I let them out and just keep my eyes on them and they atomaticlly go back.
Thank you all for the replies, it had been very useful
If she is already comfortable in the house, and in her cage, she will come back alone for food. When you want for her to come back in, show her some millet and put that in the cage. She should come in to eat.
3:38 the bird that is eating ur red shirt had me dying
Nobody :
The buggie at 2:50 : I AM SPIDER MAN!!!
0:03 why they're selling them like that 😰
4:46 you're taking a video on your phone, I thought it was DSLR camera with its high quality, Also Nice video again, Keep doing your best an never give up Alen AxP
Now I am crying I remembered my dark green bird that died you have the exact one it's a boy
my budgies only love me when i have food in my hand😭😭
Me:gets up
My bird:I MUST STAY SILENT. SHES GETTING THE FINCH FRIES MADE FOR BIRDS
I don’t recommend leaving them in their cage for two weeks, it’s best to get them used to your presence and talk to them on day one.
Giving them like 3 or 4 hours would have sufficed, this is a myth passed from vid to vid.
Absolutely false. Your budgie is scared and it won't do that.
@@hyfryd6677 absolutely false
I don’t know why this people treat them not well
I have one budgie I've had for two years who is completely tamed, and one budgie I got about 7 months ago, who is *VERY* scared of me! She's been through alot growing up because her old mate passed away recently. Whenever I try to feed her or get close she will fly all over the place. She'll only feed of me when she's very hungry (when I refill food.) Does anyone have tips?
My budgie it's been two days since I bought it and it already started eating from my hand and I am really happy
Budgies:*are noise sensitive*
Also budgies: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
I’ll try this with my new friend, Guava. 🙂
So how it went did it work
Bella looked so cute in the box.
I bought two budgies from a flea market! And I love and appreciate all your videos thank you!
Just out of curiosity, how long does this usually take?
Ella Thomas typically a month of 10-20 minutes everyday gradually increasing time everyday should do the trick but if your budgie is scared or really not up to it that day stop there and don’t force them as they will loose trust!
I litterally today got a new budgie!
George Half same I got 3!
Heyy!! My budgie's name is Button!(: I recently got this past sunday!(:
He free roams in my room(:
Make sure there's nothing that can hurt him or fall behind and that's really cool
What do you do about the poop lol
@@jimmykurt2790 Great question! Luckily Button has chosen his "safety" spots and spends most of the time is two to three places and I just place paper on those spots. Occasionally he'll poop in random places, which in that case I do clean, but he's not that of a messy bird♡. I'm so happy to have him! I will soon put up a video of him!😁
SUnnYY13 Oh that’s cool! I’m getting my first Budgie soon but I probably won’t let him free roam
@@sunnyy1322
My budgies have safety spots too! A bit annoying since I want them to feel free to go where they want, but I have managed to get them to explore a bit.
One point,at least one bird has got a decent home!!!!🤗🇬🇧
I just subscribed to this channel to watch this kind patient man with his birds
